Hoquiam River RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Hoquiam, Washington area, Hoquiam River RV Park, located at 425 Queen Ave, Hoquiam, WA 98550, presents a compelling option for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Based on recent customer reviews, this RV park is appreciated for its friendly staff, quiet and clean environment, scenic surroundings, and affordability.
One visitor who stayed at Hoquiam River RV Park in late June 2024 had a thoroughly positive experience. They highlighted the friendliness of the staff, the peaceful and clean atmosphere of the park, and a strong sense of safety during their camping trip. This reviewer expressed a definite intention to return, underscoring the positive impression the park left. A significant draw for this guest was the abundance of things to do and explore around the property, suggesting a location that offers more than just a place to park an RV or pitch a tent.
The same reviewer, who camped in the tent area, described a pleasant evening that included making dinner while enjoying the sunset over the water, followed by a shower. The next morning, they embarked on a "really beautiful rainy hike around the property," indicating that the park and its immediate surroundings offer opportunities for outdoor activities and appreciating the natural beauty of the area, regardless of the weather. The reviewer also noted the great price, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers.
Another guest who stayed for a single night during a significant storm ("bomb cyclone") also had a positive experience, despite the inclement weather limiting their ability to explore. Their arrival was marked by a warm welcome from a "sweetest lady" who offered fresh ginger cookies – a thoughtful touch that speaks to the hospitality of the staff. This guest also appreciated the staff's recommendation for a great local restaurant, showcasing their knowledge of the area and willingness to assist visitors in making the most of their stay, even under challenging circumstances.
This second reviewer provided valuable insights into the park's facilities. While acknowledging that the bathroom is "old," they also noted its spaciousness and the convenient feature of heat that turns on upon entering, ensuring comfort even during colder weather. The showers were described as generously sized and offering hot water, along with ample space for personal belongings and hooks for hanging, addressing practical needs for campers.
Connectivity is another aspect mentioned by this reviewer. They found that the Wi-Fi supported streaming for most of the time, although it did eventually disconnect, possibly due to the severe weather conditions. This suggests that while Wi-Fi is available, its reliability might be influenced by external factors. It's something to consider for those who rely heavily on internet access during their travels.
The only significant negative point raised by the second reviewer was that their husband was unable to use the showers because they were closed for painting, and they had not received any prior warning about this inconvenience. While this suggests a temporary disruption, the lack of communication was a noted drawback. However, despite this issue, the reviewer concluded that they would stay at Hoquiam River RV Park again, indicating that the positive aspects of their experience outweighed this inconvenience.
Based on these reviews, the environment of Hoquiam River RV Park appears to be tranquil and scenic, with the property located near water and offering opportunities for exploration and hiking. The presence of a tent area suggests that the park caters to a variety of camping preferences, not just RVs. The natural surroundings seem to be a key draw, with mentions of sunsets over the water and beautiful hikes.
Services at Hoquiam River RV Park include friendly and helpful staff who go the extra mile to welcome guests and provide local recommendations. The availability of clean and spacious restrooms with heat and generous, hot showers is also a significant service. Wi-Fi is offered, although its reliability may vary. The park also accommodates tent campers in a designated area.
Features of the park include its quiet and clean atmosphere, the scenic waterfront location with opportunities for enjoying sunsets, and trails around the property suitable for hiking. The affordability mentioned by one reviewer suggests that the pricing is competitive. The welcoming gesture of fresh cookies upon arrival indicates a personal touch in their hospitality.

Hoquiam River RV Park Reviews
I visited the RV Park in late June 2024. The staff was very friendly, the park was quiet and clean. I really liked the area and felt very safe camping there. I would definitely go back and stay here again. I loved that there were so many things to do and explore around the property. I camped in the tent area, made some dinner while the sunset on the water, took a shower and went on a really beautiful rainy hike around the property the next morning. There is a lot of stuff to explore in the area and the price is great!
Mar 12, 2025 · Jade PedrozaWe stayed for one night during the “bomb cyclone”, so they’re was no exploring. When we arrived we were greeted by the sweetest lady with fresh ginger cookies. I never pass up a cookie. She gave us a recommendation for a great restaurant and we appreciated that. It was perfect. While the bathroom is old, it’s spacious and the heat turns on when you enter. The showers are a generous size and hot. There was plenty of room to set my stuff and hooks for hanging. The WiFi supported streaming most of the time, but eventually kicked us off. I’m not sure if it was weather related. The only negative I have is my husband was unable to use the showers because there was a sign up saying they were closed for painting. We didn’t have any warning about this.I’d stay here again.
Nov 20, 2024 · M WBeautiful place! Very quiet and has a trail near the river. My kids loved it. The owners/host are very friendly.
Dec 30, 2024 · Jose CervantesWe stayed at the Hoquiam River RV Park in Hoquiam, Washington, on July 24, 2024. The management was very friendly and welcoming, making the check-in process smooth and easy. They showed us to our spot, which had a lovely view of the river. We were fortunate that the spot next to us was unoccupied, giving us a bit more space. The site had good Verizon cell phone coverage, and we had water, sewer, and electric hookups. My girlfriend particularly enjoyed the walk through their forest along the river, which was a nice touch. The park was quiet and well-maintained, with gravel roads and RV sites, along with patches of grass. We are used to boondocking, but for an RV park, this was a great stay. Overall, we enjoyed our one-night stay and found the park to be a pleasant and well-kept place to stop.
Jul 30, 2024 · Les DayThe owner of this RV park is the sweetest lady! She is super accommodating. I called last minute on July 5 on a holiday weekend and she was able to find me a comfortable spot to car camp ! the trails to hike attached to this RV park are very well-maintained and absolutely beautiful! I was able to walk it comfortably and flip-flops after a long day hikingMount Rainier my tennis shoes are soaked, but I know I will rest comfortably. The owner Also made rice crispy treats for everyone who stayed the night. This is one of the best places I’ve stayed at as I travel out west from Indiana.
