We loved the park. The old owner tom was amazing. He really made it feel like home. We had a big fishing pond. Then a swimming pond. The lots were nice well kept up. They were good size. We had tons of activities and they would bring in food trucks. We just got bought by a corporate business. The rates already jumped up 1,075 dollars. Edit after a few months of new ownership. I have to change my 2 to a 1. All they wanna do is delete comments and delete post. They have not announced any upgrades. They haven't told us about the survey we took. It was An amazing park till corporate greed took over. They don't look at memories just profits. I am not the smartest person but a empty campground don't make money. So please look at all reviews. We even got spam sales post. - John G

Arrowhead Lake RV Park Introduce

Located at 21876 US-68 in Williamstown, Ohio, Arrowhead Lake RV Park is positioned within the 'RV parks near me' category and has historically been known as a welcoming destination for RV travelers and potentially long-term residents. Reviews from past visitors under previous ownership paint a picture of a well-regarded park with a strong sense of community and notable amenities such as a large fishing pond, a swimming pond, and well-maintained, good-sized lots. The park was also described as having numerous activities and even hosting food trucks, fostering a vibrant and engaging atmosphere that made it feel like home to many.

However, recent changes in ownership to a corporate entity appear to have significantly impacted the park and the experiences of its visitors. One long-time patron reported a substantial increase in rates following the acquisition, amounting to $1,075. Subsequent edits to their review express further dissatisfaction, alleging deletion of comments and posts by the new management and a lack of communication regarding potential upgrades or feedback from a survey. This reviewer laments the shift in focus from community and memories to pure profit, suggesting a decline in the overall quality and appeal of the campground.

Another recent review provides a more detailed account of a less-than-satisfactory stay. While acknowledging a "very friendly staff," the positive aspects reportedly ended there. The reviewer described the front bathroom as being in a state of near collapse and, while the back bathroom with showers appeared better, deemed it unusable. Drawing a comparison to conditions encountered while hiking the Appalachian Trail, the reviewer's assessment suggests significant maintenance issues. The "so-called swimming pond" was described as being contaminated with "goose waste and feathers," rendering it unusable as well. The fishing areas were noted as looking "ok" but were overshadowed by the "overall run-down look across the park."

Furthermore, this reviewer raised serious concerns about the management and enforcement of park rules. Despite a posted quiet time of 11 pm, they reported "heavy partying and loud music all night." Attempts to contact an emergency number were unsuccessful, with the issue not being addressed until the following day when the office was called again. The reviewer claimed that when seeking assistance regarding rule violations, they were treated as the problem and were asked to move or leave. Based on their extensive travel experience across 12 states, this visitor concluded that Arrowhead Lake RV Park provided the "worst stay." They also added photographic evidence to support their observations.

Given these recent reviews, the services and features that were once highly praised under the previous ownership may have changed or deteriorated. While the park still physically possesses amenities like fishing and swimming ponds, their current condition appears to be a significant concern. The availability of RV lots remains, but their upkeep and the overall maintenance of the park are now in question. The activities and food trucks mentioned in older reviews are not referenced in the more recent feedback, suggesting that these may no longer be regular offerings. The friendly staff mentioned in one recent review is a potential positive, but it seems to be overshadowed by issues related to infrastructure, cleanliness, rule enforcement, and management responsiveness.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Arrowhead Lake RV Park. Potential visitors should be aware of the recent negative feedback regarding rate increases without corresponding improvements and the alleged lack of responsiveness from the new management. It would be prudent to contact the park directly at (419) 365-5374 or +1 419-365-5374 to inquire about the current state of the facilities, the enforcement of park rules, and the management's plans for addressing the concerns raised in recent reviews. Asking specific questions about the condition of the bathrooms and ponds, as well as security measures and quiet hours, would be advisable.

For individuals considering a stay at Arrowhead Lake RV Park, it is strongly recommended to take the recent reviews into serious consideration. While past experiences were reportedly positive, the transition to corporate ownership appears to have brought about significant challenges. Potential visitors should weigh the reports of increased rates, poor maintenance, lack of rule enforcement, and unresponsive management against the possibility of encountering friendly staff. It may also be helpful to seek out more recent reviews from other sources to get a broader perspective on the current conditions at the park.

In conclusion, Arrowhead Lake RV Park in Williamstown, Ohio, presents a complex picture for those in the 'RV parks near me' category. While it once boasted appealing amenities and a strong community under previous ownership, recent feedback indicates a decline in quality and a shift in management priorities following a corporate acquisition. Concerns about increased rates, deteriorating facilities, inadequate rule enforcement, and poor communication have been raised by recent visitors. Potential guests should exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence by contacting the park directly and seeking out the most up-to-date reviews before making a reservation to ensure it meets their expectations for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
