Bay Pines Travel Trailer Park Introduce
Welcome to Bay Pines Travel Trailer Park, a charming option for those seeking "RV parks near me" in the scenic coastal town of Morro Bay, California. Located at 1501 Quintana Rd, Morro Bay, CA 93442, USA, Bay Pines offers a blend of a great location, friendly service, and clean facilities for RV travelers. You can reach them at (877) 792-0634 or +1 877-792-0634 for reservations and inquiries.
Based on recent customer feedback, Bay Pines Travel Trailer Park is lauded for several positive attributes. Its location is frequently mentioned as "great," suggesting convenient access to the attractions and amenities of the Morro Bay area. The staff is consistently described as "friendly," contributing to a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for guests. Furthermore, the laundry room is noted for being "nice and clean and very reasonably priced," which is a significant convenience for travelers, especially those on longer journeys.
One particularly glowing review highlights the exceptional kindness and helpfulness of Ms. Sonia, who went above and beyond to accommodate a traveler without a reservation during a busy period. The reviewer described Bay Pines as "one of the cleanest, friendliest, quietest parks I’ve ever stayed," emphasizing the meticulous cleanliness of the park and the peaceful environment. The presence of many full-timers with "meticulously clean" spots further contributes to the overall well-maintained appearance of the park.
The park also features amenities such as a "small playground and dog park," both of which are described as "meticulously clean." These facilities cater to families with children and travelers with pets, providing dedicated spaces for recreation and exercise. The positive feedback regarding the cleanliness of these areas underscores the park's commitment to maintaining high standards throughout its grounds.
However, it's important to consider some of the concerns raised by other reviewers to provide a balanced and objective introduction. One guest noted that the "RV spots are very tight," which might be a significant factor for those traveling in larger rigs or who prefer more space between sites. It is advisable for potential guests to inquire about the size and layout of the available spots to ensure they can comfortably accommodate their RV.
Another significant issue raised is the discrepancy regarding Wi-Fi availability. One reviewer stated that "website says they have wifi but they absolutely do not," which was a "major issue" for someone working remotely who specifically chose the campground based on this advertised amenity. While the reviewer mentioned that T-Mobile users might have good service due to a nearby tower, the lack of park-provided Wi-Fi is a crucial piece of information for guests who rely on internet connectivity.
The park's pet policy also received critical feedback. While dogs are "allowed," the reviewer described the park as "dog tolerant" rather than "dog friendly." According to this guest, dogs are "basically are not allowed anywhere in the park except one tiny area all the way in the back corner." They are reportedly not permitted on the grass or along the sides of the street within the park, and owners are expected to take their dogs to a "tick infested non mowed area" across the street. This restrictive pet policy is a significant consideration for RVers traveling with dogs, and the reviewer expressed disappointment with the alleged "false advertising" on the website regarding pet-friendliness.
Despite these drawbacks, another reviewer who stayed in spot 72, near the park entrance and close to the pool and hot tub, reported that it was surprisingly "silent" with "no traffic" coming in and out. This suggests that while some spots might be tighter than others, the overall noise level within the park is generally well-managed.
The positive experience of feeling "greeted like family" by Ms. Sonia also highlights the personal and welcoming touch that the staff provides to guests. This level of hospitality can significantly enhance the overall camping experience.
In summary, Bay Pines Travel Trailer Park in Morro Bay offers a clean and friendly environment in a great location. Guests can appreciate the well-maintained laundry facilities, and those with children or pets will find the playground and dog park to be clean and accessible. The exceptional service provided by staff members like Ms. Sonia is also a notable positive aspect.
However, potential guests should be aware that the RV spots are reported to be tight, and the availability of Wi-Fi may not align with the information provided on the website. Furthermore, travelers with dogs should carefully consider the park's pet policy, which has been described as restrictive. It is advisable to verify the current Wi-Fi situation and pet guidelines directly with the park management before booking.
Promotional information is not explicitly available in the provided reviews. To learn about any current specials, discounts for extended stays, or other promotions, it is recommended to contact Bay Pines Travel Trailer Park directly at the provided phone numbers. Inquiring about site sizes, specific amenities, and the most up-to-date policies regarding pets and internet access will help ensure a satisfactory stay.
In conclusion, Bay Pines Travel Trailer Park offers a clean and friendly base for exploring the Morro Bay area. Its convenient location and well-maintained facilities are definite advantages. However, prospective guests should be mindful of the reported tight RV spots, the potential lack of reliable Wi-Fi, and the restrictive pet policy to ensure it meets their individual needs and expectations for an "RV park near me." Direct communication with the park management is recommended to clarify these aspects before making a reservation.

Bay Pines Travel Trailer Park Reviews
Positives: location was great, staff was friendly, laundry room was nice and clean and very reasonably priced. Negatives: RV spots are very tight, website says they have wifi but they absolutely do not, which is a major issue for me as I work remote and specifically choose campgrounds that have wifi. If you have Tmobile you will be ok as there is a tower close by, but it's false advertising to not remove that from the website. Also, and this is a big one for me, they are "dog tolerant" NOT dog friendly. Dogs are allowed, but they basically are not allowed anywhere in the park except one tiny area all the way in the back corner. They are not allowed on the grass or anywhere on the side of the street inside the park. They expect you to take your dog across the street behind parked cars in a tick infested non mowed area. It's really ridiculous. I'd appreciate honesty on the website, because we definitely would have chosen a different location. We would not stay here again.
Jan 04, 2025 · Vali ReinhardtI took a side trip and had no reservation booked in the Morro Bay Area and everything was full due to the mid-state fair. I googled random places and found Bay Pines. The pictures looked cute and let’s face it, It was Bay Pines or the side of the road boon docking. Ms. Sonia answered the phone and was the sweetest lady ever! she told me to come on down, she had a spot! I showed up with little to no expectations and what a beautiful surprise!! She put me in spot 72 which is on the main corner as you come in the park. I was hesitant but, didn’t really have any other options. I checked in, got settled and took my dog for a walk around the perimeter. Bay Pines is one of the cleanest, friendliest, quietest parks I’ve ever stayed. A lot of the people seem to be full timers and their spots are meticulously clean. There was no traffic on my corner coming in and out of the park and despite the pool and hot tub also being a few feet away, it was silent. The park has a small playground and dog park again meticulously clean. I don’t write many reviews as I believe when you pay for something, you should get it however, I can’t not write a review on this park. The park is a beautiful gem hidden in a quiet beautiful spot yet easy to find, right off the main road. Despite the fact I can camp in State Parks for free as a Veteran, when I come this way again. I will definitely pay to stay at Bay Pines Travel Trailer Park. If you decide to stay, be sure and say hello to Sonia- She is one of the nicest ladies!!! I was greeted like family last night and I’m going to be bummed when I leave today. Thank you Bay Pines!!! If I could give you 10 stars I would!Edit: ( I was driving a 31 foot Class C by myself and was able to back into the site with no problems and I’m “ a girl” 🤪) although I didn’t use the laundry room it is available and again very clean and well lit)
Jul 18, 2024 · Michelle CoxStaying in the area for the month. Staff and management were very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. Grounds are clean, park is quiet and close to beach, stores and shopping. Full hookups and site was comfortable for our 37’ class A.
Nov 01, 2023 · terry mlStay here for the winter.Reasonable rates, clean, with great laundry facility.Excellent clean showers and bathrooms cleaned twice daily. My favorite is the heated pool and spa and did i mention the weather. Most days sunny 65-80.Everyone is helpful and friendly.Site is narrow..enough room to park car next to RV.Pine Trees. That scare the begees out of you when they drop pine cone on your roof.Love this place.. close to town and beach. And family and friends. Our annual family Thanksgiving at my sister in laws.On my way there now...ETA November 1.❤❤❤🌟
Oct 10, 2021 · Valerie GrahamNot too much for little kids to do. Very clean, quiet community. Not kid or animal friendly. Basically no noise allowed. Everyone follows the rules. NO space heaters allowed. Preferential treatment based on the Manager's bias (based off the experience of being on the wait-list for years now while watching my coworkers get in just fine). They will check your credit (unless they have upgraded to requesting blood samples) and don't give the benefit of the doubt to people.
