Birchwood Terrace Introduce
For individuals utilizing the "RV Parks Near Me" platform who are seeking a more permanent or long-term residential solution than typical RV camping, Birchwood Terrace offers a manufactured home community in Wyoming, MN. Located at 6522 E Viking Blvd, Wyoming, MN 55092, USA, this community provides a distinct living experience focused on stable homes and a neighborhood environment, serving as an alternative to transient RV park stays.
Birchwood Terrace is situated in Wyoming, Minnesota, a city in Chisago County. Wyoming offers a blend of rural charm and suburban accessibility, located north of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The general area is characterized by a mix of residential zones, natural landscapes, and proximity to larger towns like Forest Lake, which provide additional amenities and services. While specific details on the immediate surroundings of Birchwood Terrace are limited, the location in Wyoming generally implies access to local parks, green spaces, and a quieter pace of life compared to dense urban centers. The community itself is composed of individual lots where manufactured homes are situated, creating a residential neighborhood feel. The layout typically includes internal roads for vehicle access to each home. Some external information suggests that while residents appreciate their "great neighbors and people that live there," the physical infrastructure of the park itself, particularly the roads, may present challenges, with mentions of "5 foot potholes" and a "sinkhole" at a stop sign. This indicates that while the social environment might be strong, the physical environment of the park requires ongoing attention and maintenance to ensure safety and quality of life for residents.
As a mobile home park, Birchwood Terrace provides the fundamental infrastructure for residents to own and reside in manufactured homes on leased land. The core services revolve around the management and maintenance of these leased lots and the common areas of the park. While comprehensive details on specific amenities provided by the park itself are not extensively advertised, typical features in such communities often include:
- Individual Lots with Utilities: Residents lease individual lots that are equipped with necessary hookups for manufactured homes, including water, electricity, and sewer connections.
- Community Governance: The park has a management structure responsible for overseeing the community, enforcing rules, and collecting lot rent. However, resident feedback explicitly notes that "the management is close to non existent" and that "they don’t fix anything." This is a critical point that directly impacts the quality of living and suggests a potential lack of responsiveness to maintenance issues within the park.
- Roads and Infrastructure: Residents rely on the park's internal road network for access to their homes. Reviews highlight significant issues with road maintenance, citing "potholes" and a "sinkhole," which are described as being unsafe for vehicles and children.
- Tree Maintenance: There are concerns raised about the need for "all trees to be cut down or trimmed down to nothing," suggesting that tree maintenance is either lacking or causing problems for residents, potentially related to safety or property damage from falling branches.
- Drainage Issues: Reports indicate that heavy rain leads to "the road floods out my driveway gos under my trailer wreaking everything," pointing to significant drainage problems that directly affect residents' property and well-being.
- Electrical Infrastructure Concerns: A serious issue mentioned is a "fire hazard" related to an "electric problem at the box" that took "6 years" to finally fix, highlighting a potential delay in addressing critical safety concerns.
- Social Environment: Despite the reported issues with management and maintenance, residents praise the "Great neighbors and people that live there," indicating a strong internal community among the residents themselves.
It's important to note that while many manufactured home communities offer amenities like clubhouses, playgrounds, or organized activities, there is no public information confirming the presence of such features at Birchwood Terrace. The focus of resident feedback is overwhelmingly on the condition of the park's infrastructure and the responsiveness (or lack thereof) of management.
Specific promotional language directly from Birchwood Terrace is not readily available in the provided information. However, like most mobile home parks, its core appeal lies in providing a potentially more affordable path to homeownership than traditional stick-built houses, within a structured community setting. The ability to own a home and reside on leased land can be attractive to individuals and families seeking stability and a sense of community. Given the current feedback, any promotional efforts would likely focus on the benefits of manufactured home living and the potential for a friendly neighborhood, while implicitly or explicitly addressing the ongoing maintenance concerns that are prominent in public reviews. For inquiries about available homes, lot leases, or to speak with park management, interested parties can contact Birchwood Terrace directly at (612) 817-8927 or +1 612-817-8927. The address is 6522 E Viking Blvd, Wyoming, MN 55092, USA.
The resident reviews for Birchwood Terrace raise significant and concerning issues that prospective residents should carefully consider. While the positive aspect of "great neighbors and people that live there" is noted, this is heavily outweighed by severe criticisms regarding park management and infrastructure. The complaints about "non existent" management, unrepaired "potholes" (some described as "5 foot"), a "sink whole" at a stop sign, and lack of essential maintenance are critical safety and quality-of-life concerns. Furthermore, the recurring problems with tree maintenance leading to flooding, driveways being washed out, and particularly the "fire hazard" electrical problem that took "6 years" to resolve, point to a pattern of alleged negligence in property upkeep. These issues can lead to significant vehicle damage, property damage (as water goes "under my trailer wreaking everything"), and pose serious safety risks, especially for children and the structural integrity of homes. Therefore, anyone considering moving to Birchwood Terrace Mobile Home Park should conduct extensive due diligence. This would include visiting the park in person to assess the condition of the roads and common areas, attempting to speak with current residents about their experiences, and thoroughly questioning the park management about their maintenance schedules, plans for infrastructure repairs, and responsiveness to resident concerns. It is crucial to obtain clear commitments and understanding of how these critical issues are being addressed before making any long-term residential decisions.

Birchwood Terrace Reviews
Great neighbors and people that live there but the management is close to none existent. The don’t fix anything. They have 5 foot potholes in the park so you have to dodge the holes. That’s on both sides. At the stop sign there’s a hole that’s becoming a. Sink whole and they just leave it there. Get it together because it’s not safe for the kids or our cars.
Nov 01, 2024 · Amber AThere are problems in this trailer park, all trees need too be cut down or trimmed down too nothing. The rain come down the road floods out my driveway gos under my trailer wreaking everything. May 25, 2021 · Wesley FordI attempted to stop to talk to someone about the possibility of placing a new single wide mobile home on one of the available lots. The sign on the office door indicated there would be someone available on Fridays to answer questions, provide an application and I was hoping for a tour of the park. After stopping consecutively three Friday's in a row, noticing the walkway leading to the office entrance was snow covered and didn't appear to have been shoveled after several snowfalls, and the unsightly garbage cans that were overflowing near the mailboxes I concluded the management of the park was either non existent or simply uninterested in renting the spaces that were vacant and available. Because I needed to finalize the delivery details of my home I was forced to choose a location further from family, further from my place of employment, and less convenient overall.
