The environment of Birds Creek Campground is described as a "nice, small RV/camping 'extended stay' park." One reviewer noted the impression that the majority of the spots are occupied by long-term residents, with possibly limited availability for short-term campers. The location, being in the mountains, implies a natural setting, although one reviewer mentioned that the road running by the campground can be noisy and the scenery from the park itself is not particularly remarkable. However, the campground's strategic positioning directly between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge is highlighted as a significant advantage. This central location provides easy access to the numerous attractions, dining options, and entertainment venues in both towns, making it a practical choice for those planning to explore the broader area. While the roads leading to the campground are described as "VERY narrow," which is expected in a mountainous region, travelers with larger RVs should exercise caution and consider using navigation apps designed for RVs, as one reviewer recommended using CoPilot. Additionally, the winding mountain roads may have limited shoulders and overhanging limbs that could potentially scratch larger vehicles, a factor to consider when planning your route.
The services and features at Birds Creek Campground appear to be functional and geared towards both extended-stay residents and short-term visitors. One notable feature mentioned is the presence of "big spots" with "nice concrete patios," suggesting that the campsites offer ample space and a comfortable outdoor living area. However, it's important to note that the sites are described as "not very level," which may require extra effort in leveling your RV. One reviewer with a 37 ft diesel pusher mentioned their front tires being significantly off the ground due to the uneven terrain. The campground is also noted as being "definitely affordable," making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers. While the amenities may be basic, with one reviewer stating, "Not much else here," the essential services for RV camping are likely provided, such as hookups for water, electricity, and sewer. The presence of "pleasantly professional management" indicates a positive and helpful service aspect, ensuring a smooth and well-organized stay for guests.
Features that make Birds Creek Campground a consideration within the "RV Parks Near Me" category include its affordability, which is a significant draw for budget travelers. The large campsites with concrete patios offer comfortable and spacious living areas. The central location directly between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge provides unparalleled convenience for accessing the region's attractions. The "pleasantly professional management" ensures a positive and well-organized experience for guests. While the park may primarily cater to extended-stay residents, the availability of at least one spot for short-term camping allows it to maintain its status as a campground and accommodate visitors. The narrow and winding mountain roads leading to the campground are a notable characteristic that requires careful navigation, especially for larger RVs. The unevenness of the campsites is another factor to be aware of when setting up your RV. The potential for road noise from the nearby road and the lack of scenic views from within the park itself might be drawbacks for some, but the affordability and location may outweigh these for others.
Promotional information for Birds Creek Campground, Tennessee, was not included in the provided reviews. Given its reputation as an affordable option, it may not frequently offer special promotions. However, it is always advisable to contact the campground directly at (865) 867-2900 or +1 865-867-2900 to inquire about any potential discounts for longer stays or seasonal rates that may be available. Speaking directly with the management will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information on pricing and any current offers.
For local users exploring "RV Parks Near Me" in the Sevierville area, Birds Creek Campground offers a budget-friendly option with a highly convenient location for accessing both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. While the park may have a significant number of extended-stay residents and the roads leading to it can be narrow and winding, the large campsites with concrete patios provide a comfortable base. The unevenness of the sites and potential road noise are factors to consider. However, the affordability and the "pleasantly professional management" make it a practical choice for those prioritizing location and cost-effectiveness over extensive amenities or scenic views from the park itself. If your primary goal is to explore the attractions of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge without breaking the bank and you are comfortable navigating mountain roads, Birds Creek Campground is worth considering.
In conclusion, Birds Creek Campground in Sevierville, Tennessee, offers an affordable and strategically located option for RV travelers looking to explore the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas. Its large, albeit uneven, campsites with concrete patios provide a functional living space. While the park appears to cater primarily to extended-stay residents and the access roads can be challenging for larger RVs, the "pleasantly professional management" and the convenience of being situated between the two main tourist hubs are significant advantages. For budget-conscious travelers who prioritize location and are aware of the potential challenges of mountain roads and uneven sites, Birds Creek Campground serves as a practical basecamp within the "RV Parks Near Me" category. Birds Creek Campground, Tennessee Reviews
Nice, small RV/camping 'extended stay' park. I think that all the spots here are for regulars that 'live' here and the one spot available to camp at is how they maintain the ability to probably keep the status as being a campground instead of being a 'permanent' park. The roads to get here were VERY narrow, as one would assume considering this is in the mountains. I use the app called copilot to navigate considering we have a 37 ft diesel pusher and we have a tow vehicle too. It was our first time taking it out through some roads like these. I wish the roads would have had a little bit more of a shoulder and there weren't so many limbs sticking out and down to scratch the rv but that's also to be expected. Just not something we thought about when planning to come here. The campground is nice. Big spots. Nice concrete patios. Not very level, keep in mind as our front tires are way off the ground. Not really good for the RV Jack's to have this much weight on them but we didn't have much of a choice. Not much else here. But, it was definitely affordable. The road that runs by it can be noisy and not much scenery to look at, but, we're didn't come here for that. We are set directly between the two main places, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. That's the big plus! Pretty close to whatever you want. Definitely would recommend to others, as long as they knew what to expect.

May 01, 2025 · Theresa DowdyGreat basic campground we enjoyed staying here. Robert is friendly, attentive, and quick to help with anything needed. We stayed in spot 15, which felt gigantic and was great for our kids to have alot of play space. There is a creek that runs along the back side which our kids loved to play and fish in. It also provides the most peaceful relaxing sounds. Extended stays welcome, lot rent on the higher end but you get electricity upto $100, fiber optic wifi, laundry room, water and septic included. School bus picks up kids for Caton Chapel Elementary and Gatlinburg Pittman High School.Cons: Campground backs up to a popular wedding venue so there is loud music that will go until 11pm on most weekends and some week nights and it is More active in the summer. The creek does flood site 15 in very high rains in February. Overall we had a great extended stay.
Apr 30, 2024 · Kimber HoehnWe lived there for about 2 years Larry and Yasmin the owners were extremely nice and always on top of any issue that came up. The grounds were kept up nicely and laundry room was always clean and nice. We stayed in site 2 which had a great yard and was very quiet. They also had free entertainment and pizza nights for all their guests! Had I not gotten cancer we would probably still be there. Thank you for the wonderful memories :) Lauren & Charlie Nichols
Aug 09, 2022 · Buckhorn InnWe stayed here for 10 months (in our 5th wheel) while our house was being built. What a wonderful campground! It’s picturesque, well kept and has a great, small community feel. The amenities that are included for the price are almost unheard of nowadays and everyone is very friendly. There is a manager that lives on site and the owners are very hands on as well. We’ve made some good friends living here and would highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for an affordable, pet friendly, clean place to live. PS They also have a cabin for rent on site for family and friends.
