Black Oak RV Park Introduce
For local RV enthusiasts searching for "RV parks near me" in the Lampe, Missouri area, Black Oak RV Park offers a quiet and seemingly well-kept campground experience. Located at 35 Black Oak Resort Ln, Lampe, MO 65681, USA, the park can be reached at (417) 222-2267 or +1 417-222-2267. Recent feedback from fellow RVers provides valuable insights into what you can expect during your stay.
One recent guest who stayed from April 10th to 13th, 2025, reported an overall "good" experience, describing the campground as "nice, quiet, and well kept." This suggests that Black Oak RV Park prioritizes maintaining a peaceful and orderly environment for its visitors, which can be a significant draw for those seeking a tranquil getaway in their RVs.
However, it's crucial for local users to be aware of certain factors highlighted by the same guest that might influence their decision. These points are essential for ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay, especially for those with specific needs or expectations.
Firstly, it's important to note that Black Oak RV Park does not have a shower house. This is a significant consideration for RVers who rely on communal shower facilities, especially during longer stays. If your RV does not have its own shower, or if you prefer separate facilities, this lack of a shower house may be a deciding factor.
Secondly, the restrooms at Black Oak RV Park have limited operating hours, closing at 8:00 pm. This is another crucial piece of information for local users planning to stay at the park. If you anticipate needing restroom access outside of these hours, you will need to rely solely on the facilities within your RV.
For pet owners, particularly dog owners, the terrain of Black Oak RV Park presents a considerable challenge. The review indicates that the campground is approximately 98% medium to large size rock, leaving very few places for dogs to relieve themselves. The guest explicitly stated that the park is "definitely not dog friendly" due to this lack of suitable ground. Local users who frequently travel with their canine companions should take this into serious consideration when evaluating Black Oak RV Park.
Connectivity is another aspect to be aware of. The guest reported that the Wi-Fi is spotty, especially in the lower site areas. For local users who need reliable internet access for work, communication, or entertainment, this inconsistent Wi-Fi service could be a significant drawback, depending on the location of their assigned site within the park.
Regarding the RV sites themselves, the review mentions that while the sites and drive lanes are asphalt, they are "not very level." The park reportedly requires guests to use their boards between the asphalt and their equipment to achieve a level setup. Local RVers should ensure they have the necessary leveling equipment and be prepared for this additional step when setting up their rigs.
Finally, the environmental conditions of the campsites are worth noting. The guest reported "no shade, no trees," which could make the sites quite hot during the warmer months. Additionally, they mentioned that their sewer hookup ran uphill, potentially causing drainage issues. Lastly, an electrical transformer located next to their site buzzed loudly for the duration of their three-day stay, which could be a noise concern depending on the proximity of the transformer to individual campsites.
Considering these points, Black Oak RV Park in Lampe, MO, offers a quiet and well-maintained environment. However, local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully weigh the limitations mentioned in the recent review, including the lack of a shower house, restricted restroom hours, the rocky terrain unsuitable for dogs, spotty Wi-Fi, uneven asphalt sites requiring leveling boards, lack of shade, potential sewer drainage issues, and possible noise from electrical transformers.
While the initial impression of a "nice campground" is positive, the subsequent detailed observations provide a more comprehensive picture for potential visitors. Local RVers with specific needs regarding showers, restroom access, pet-friendly areas, reliable internet, site levelness, shade, and noise levels should consider these factors carefully before making a reservation at Black Oak RV Park.
To obtain further information or to inquire about specific site details, local users can contact Black Oak RV Park directly at (417) 222-2267 or +1 417-222-2267. Speaking with the park management may provide additional clarity on some of the concerns raised in the review and allow you to make an informed decision based on your individual requirements and preferences for an "RV park near me" in the Lampe, MO area.
In conclusion, Black Oak RV Park offers a potentially peaceful and orderly camping experience. However, prospective local users should be fully aware of the reported limitations concerning the absence of a shower house, restricted restroom hours, the unsuitability for dogs due to the rocky terrain, inconsistent Wi-Fi, the need for leveling on the asphalt sites, the lack of shade, potential sewer issues, and possible noise from electrical equipment. By considering these aspects, you can determine if Black Oak RV Park aligns with your specific needs and expectations for your next RV outing in the Lampe, Missouri region.

Apr 01, 2025 · Nate Cowden⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Amazing Experience at Black Oak RV Park!We recently stayed at Black Oak RV Park and had an absolutely wonderful time. The pool was fantastic – clean, well-maintained, and perfect for cooling off on a hot day. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with a smile. The campground itself was spotless and very quiet, making it a perfect getaway for some peace and relaxation. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great RV park experience!

Aug 03, 2024 · Sara MIt’s a very new place. Staff is excellent but besides the pool and store, it’s just a place to hook up your rv. It’s not on the lake, doesn’t have a view or shade. I will say it’d be a great place if you were going to the amphitheater.
