I have stayed at BlueWater Resort several times over the past years. This time was different this is the off-season which I would assume that most Campground owners would be happy about anybody camping in their Campground. The facilities are nice it is quite a ways to get back here and the road is crappy to get back here. But here's some other issues why is the bathroom got a code on it? Are there actually people that are coming over here to poop in your bathroom in the middle of the night that are not camping here? Second the ladies don't seem very happy about being here it seems like it's just another job as they sit behind the counter trying to help people that annoy them. Last thing I have to say is that I was fishing today on my checkout day and I wanted to pull my camper out at 11:00 as required I asked if I could park the motorhome down into the empty ramp parking lot and I was told that I had to park it up by the lodge which is approximately 1 mi from the ramp and I guess I would just have to walk back. Again I would think that somebody would be very happy with the business during the slow time of the year and not make it so inconvenient for their customers or campers to be able to do the one thing that they came here for which was fish. My last time here and I'll make sure I tell every fisherman I know. That their business is only appreciated here whenever there's a big tournament in town. Also they claim to give a military discount but I have yet to see one on my bill there's no place to do the website as well as the lady never asked to see my military id. Blue Water RV Resort Introduce

If you are looking for "RV parks near me" in the Dayton, Tennessee area, Blue Water RV Resort, located at 220 Bluewater Campground Rd, Dayton, TN 37321, USA, offers a lakeside camping experience that has received mixed but informative feedback from recent visitors. You can contact them at (423) 775-3265 or +1 423-775-3265 for reservations and inquiries.

One long-time visitor noted a change in experience during the off-season. While acknowledging that "the facilities are nice," they pointed out that the resort is "quite a ways to get back here and the road is crappy to get back here." This suggests that the location might be somewhat remote, and the road leading to it could be in poor condition, a factor to consider for those with larger rigs or concerns about travel accessibility. However, another reviewer in a Class A Motorcoach mentioned that while the road was "a little narrow," they "could have passed oncoming traffic with no problems," indicating that the road conditions might be manageable for some RV types.

A notable point of contention in one review was the presence of a code on the bathroom facilities. The reviewer questioned the necessity of this security measure, speculating about non-campers using the restrooms. This might be a factor that affects the convenience and accessibility of the facilities for paying guests, especially during off-peak times.

The demeanor of the staff also received mixed feedback. One reviewer felt that "the ladies don't seem very happy about being here," describing their attitude as if it were "just another job" and perceiving them as annoyed while assisting guests. In contrast, another reviewer found the "staff is super friendly," highlighting a potentially inconsistent experience with customer service depending on individual interactions.

A significant inconvenience reported by one guest involved parking their motorhome after the required 11:00 AM checkout time while wanting to continue fishing. Despite an empty ramp parking lot, they were allegedly directed to park approximately one mile away by the lodge and walk back to the ramp. This policy, particularly during the slower off-season, left a negative impression on the guest, who felt that the business was less accommodating outside of peak tournament times. This suggests that policies might be stricter or less flexible during the off-season.

The same reviewer also raised concerns about a claimed military discount that was not applied to their bill, and the lack of an option to input this on the website, as well as the staff not requesting to see their military ID. Veterans considering this resort should be diligent in inquiring about and ensuring the application of any advertised military discounts.

On a more positive note, a reviewer who stayed for a week in a Class A Motorcoach praised the park, stating, "All the sites are super level." This is a significant advantage for RVers, as level sites ensure the proper functioning of appliances and overall comfort. This directly contradicts the earlier reviewer's negative experience with site suitability, suggesting that the quality and ease of access might vary depending on the specific site assigned.

A crucial piece of information for fishing enthusiasts is to "be sure to check the Dayton TN fishing tournament schedule" if you stay at Blue Water RV Resort. The starting horn for these tournaments reportedly goes off early in the morning, which could be a disturbance for those not participating or wanting to sleep in. This highlights the resort's popularity among anglers, likely due to its lakeside location and access to fishing opportunities.

For those looking for basic provisions, the "sausage biscuits in the office store are excellent!" This small amenity can add to the convenience of staying at the resort, especially for a quick and easy breakfast option.

In terms of the environment and nearby attractions, Blue Water RV Resort benefits from its lakeside location, offering potential for fishing and enjoying water-related activities. While the immediate surroundings within the park are not extensively described, the proximity to a lake is a significant feature for many RV travelers.

Beyond the resort itself, there are attractions within a 30-minute drive. The Vital Buffalo Farm offers a unique opportunity to see these majestic animals. Additionally, the area boasts "two great hikes along the Cumberland Trail," appealing to those who enjoy outdoor activities and exploring the natural beauty of Tennessee. These nearby options provide additional recreational opportunities for guests staying at Blue Water RV Resort.

Based on the information available, Blue Water RV Resort offers level sites and a lakeside location that is popular with fishermen, especially during tournaments. The staff's friendliness appears to be variable. Off-season stays might come with stricter policies, such as bathroom access codes and less flexible parking arrangements. The road leading to the resort might be challenging for some RVs. It is advisable for veterans to specifically inquire about and verify the application of any military discounts.

Promotional information is limited to the mention of a military discount, which seems to have been problematic for one guest. There is no information regarding other potential discounts for longer stays, off-season rates, or any other special offers. To obtain comprehensive information about pricing and promotions, direct contact with the resort is recommended.

In conclusion, Blue Water RV Resort presents a lakeside option for those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Dayton, Tennessee area. While it offers level sites and proximity to fishing and nearby attractions like the Cumberland Trail and Vital Buffalo Farm, potential guests should be aware of the reported issues with off-season policies, bathroom access, staff demeanor, and the road conditions leading to the resort. Fishing enthusiasts should also note the early morning tournament schedules. It is recommended to contact the resort directly to clarify any concerns, inquire about military discounts or other promotions, and ensure that it meets your specific needs for your RV stay.
