Deer Ridge RV Park Introduce
If you are searching online for "RV parks near me" in the Georgetown, Tennessee area, Deer Ridge RV Park, located at 11182 Brittsville Rd, Georgetown, TN 37336, is one option that may appear. It's important to consider the recent feedback from visitors to get a comprehensive understanding of the current state of this RV park. Based on the available reviews, Deer Ridge RV Park is currently in a transitional phase under new ownership, with efforts underway to address previous issues and improve the overall experience.
One recent review paints a concerning picture of the park under previous management. The reviewer mentions that while the former manager was perceived as "sweet," the facilities allegedly did not align with the website's descriptions. Specifically, the review claims that the Wi-Fi was only accessible in the office area, cell service was unreliable, and the laundry room had limited functionality with only two "working" washers. Furthermore, the bathhouse was described as being in poor condition, with a non-functional toilet and an unsanitary shower. The reviewer also expressed concerns about the general environment, citing a high number of permanent residents, "strange and overly friendly" people, numerous barking and unrestrained dogs, and the presence of garbage and dilapidated vehicles on the property. This individual's experience led them to leave the park within an hour of checking in, citing safety concerns and recommending alternative overnight options.
However, another more recent review offers a contrasting perspective, indicating that the RV park has been acquired by a new owner who is actively working to rectify the issues stemming from the previous management's alleged neglect. This reviewer expresses optimism about the changes, noting that the new owner has discontinued "lifetime campers" but is still accommodating "long term traveling construction campers." This suggests a potential shift in the park's focus and resident demographic. The reviewer also mentions positive changes such as the removal of "tent and make shift porches" and efforts to enforce cleanliness standards on individual lots, including rules regarding the number of dogs and the prohibition of leaving them unattended on chains. This suggests that the new ownership is taking steps to improve the aesthetic appeal and overall safety and order of the park.
Despite the positive outlook from the more recent review regarding the new owner's initiatives, it's crucial for potential visitors to acknowledge the reported conditions under the previous management. The discrepancies between the website's advertised amenities (Wi-Fi, laundry, bathhouse) and the first reviewer's experience highlight the importance of seeking the most up-to-date information before making a reservation. While the new owner is reportedly making improvements, the extent and timeline of these renovations are not fully detailed in the provided information.
Regarding services and features, based on the older review, the park was advertised to have Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and a bathhouse. However, the functionality and condition of these amenities were reportedly subpar at the time of that review. The newer review suggests that the laundry facilities and general cleanliness are being addressed by the new owner. It's unclear from the provided text whether there are other amenities such as hookups for water, electricity, and sewage, which are typically expected at RV parks. Potential long-term or short-term visitors should inquire specifically about the availability and condition of these essential services when contacting the park.
In terms of promotional information, none is explicitly provided in the reviews. Therefore, it is recommended that interested individuals contact Deer Ridge RV Park directly at (423) 665-3700 or +1 423-665-3700 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any ongoing promotions or discounts, especially in light of the new ownership and ongoing renovations. It would also be prudent to ask for recent updates on the condition of the facilities and the progress of any improvements.
In conclusion, Deer Ridge RV Park appears to be in a state of transition. While past experiences, as described by one reviewer, raise concerns about the park's condition and management, a more recent review indicates that a new owner is actively working to improve the facilities and overall environment. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" and considering Deer Ridge RV Park, it is strongly recommended to contact the park directly to obtain the most current information regarding the status of renovations, the availability and condition of amenities, and the overall living environment before making any decisions. The contrasting reviews highlight the importance of due diligence when selecting an RV park, especially one that is reportedly undergoing significant changes.

Deer Ridge RV Park Reviews
First the older man who “manages” the place is sweet but definitely too old to be doing it! Website has nice pics and says they have Wi-Fi, laundry and bathhouse however once we checked in and went to our site we quickly realized that was all a joke!! 90% of the people live there, no cell service, Wi-Fi only works in office, laundry room has 2 “working” washers and when we walked into the bathhouse to check it out the 1 toilet was no working due to plumbing issues, and I honestly wouldn’t have bathed my dogs in the shower! The people are strange and overly friendly. Angry dogs barking and tied up everywhere! A man tried to talk to my 14 year old daughter about her “puppy” (clearly an older dog) and the came walking back by with a 5th of liquor in his hand! It was NOON!!! Cars parked everywhere with busted windows, garbage everywhere including old mattresses propped up by rvs, we immediately left to find cell service to look for a different place to stay! Checked back out within 1 hour of checking in! Never would have slept due to fear of my belongs and o yea MY LIFE! Please do not waste your time nor money especially if you have children!! Even if your desperate just go to Walmart parking lot for the night, it will be cleaner and safer!! Picture is just 1 example my daughter took on our way out of there!!
Nov 16, 2024 · Kelly HaleThe place has just been bought so there is a new owner that is trying to fix everything that isn’t working properly. He has also ended lifetime campers but not long term traveling construction campers( really glad for that😎). It really is a nice place but a bit run down due to the last owners neglect but it’s actually coming back to life. The biggest downside is I believe they are letting Tommy(manager) go from what I hear. Well (miss you brother). They did get rid of all the darn tent and make shift porches which made the place look really undesirable to say the least and making everybody cleanup their nasty lots and making it a rule about the amount of dogs and leaving them outside on a chain unattended. To the new owner congratulations on the purchase and I really hope that it goes great for you there and that the place starts to resemble the vision you have for it!!😎😎😎😎😎
Feb 19, 2025 · David GravenThe rates at this park are very fair. They have wifi and the water was included. The owner of the park is very friendly and hospitable gentleman, you just don't meet such people like this anymore with professional customer service. They have a laundry facility that was amazing 🤩. The view from the Deer 🦌 Ridge is spectacular while drinking morning coffee ☕ on the provided picnic table. They even have a propane fill station and sell RV parts. All the people we talked to who were there were extremely friendly and polite. This is a great place to set up your camper near the Hiwasssi River and go fishing 🎣. There is also a church near by for Sunday service. I'm now totally at peach and happy at Deer 🦌 Ridge RV park.
Feb 28, 2023 · Tony ZanoskaTommy is one of the nicest people I have ever met and will go above and beyond for you. The RV Park is quiet and maintained. We had great neighbors as well. The only downside is that the wifi rarely works and there's no cell signal which is fine unless there's an emergency.
Jul 29, 2022 · Julie GeeWas looking for a nearby campground for weekends with the grandchildren. Took a drive to check out the place. Didn’t see any open spots. Appears everyone is long term and dug in. Some of the units have obviously been there a very long time. Lots of junk laying around. Too bad. Nice area and convent location otherwise. I can’t imagine how the owner will be able to clean this up any time soon.
