Boone RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Lampasas, Texas area? If so, Boone RV Park, situated at 1907 US-281, Lampasas, TX 76550, USA, is a potential option to consider. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed overview of the RV park based on the limited publicly available information, including environment, services, features, and recent customer experiences. It's important to weigh these aspects to determine if Boone RV Park meets your specific travel needs.
Boone RV Park can be contacted at (512) 556-5171 or via mobile phone at +1 512-556-5171. These contact numbers are useful for making inquiries about availability, pricing, and specific amenities. Direct communication with the park management can provide the most up-to-date information for prospective guests.
Based on the few online reviews available, Boone RV Park appears to offer a basic, no-frills experience that might be suitable for certain types of travelers, particularly those needing a short-term stopover. One reviewer noted that while the office was closed on a Saturday, they were able to set up camp on their assigned site (site 66) as planned. This suggests a degree of self-service or pre-arrangement for late arrivals, which can be convenient for travelers on the road.
Regarding the environment and site conditions, the same reviewer described the park as having "all gravel" sites, though they also mentioned that their site was "level" and that the "utilities work." Level sites are crucial for comfortable RV living, ensuring that appliances function correctly and that the RV is stable. The functionality of utilities (presumably water, electricity, and sewer) is also essential for any RV stay. However, the all-gravel environment might lack the aesthetic appeal of parks with more greenery and could potentially lead to dust issues depending on weather conditions and traffic within the park.
The reviewer further commented that the park was "good enough for a one night in transit stop over," but also noted that the "place can sure do with a tidy up and some TLC." This suggests that while the basic necessities might be in place, the overall maintenance and appearance of the park could be improved. For travelers seeking a longer stay or a more resort-like experience, this observation might be a point of concern.
A significant negative point raised in the review was the presence of "no shortage of dog shit on the grass between us and our neighbor," which the reviewer deemed "unacceptable!" This is a serious issue concerning cleanliness and the management's responsibility to ensure a sanitary environment for all guests. Proper pet waste management is a fundamental aspect of operating a pet-friendly RV park, and the reported lack thereof could be a major deterrent for many travelers, especially those with children or other pets.
Another review mentioned the cost of "pumping and dumping" (presumably for RV black and gray water tanks) increasing from $15.00 to $25.00. While the reviewer acknowledged that this might not be the park's fault ("We're in trouble in this country. Not their fault, though."), the significant price increase is still a factor that budget-conscious travelers will want to consider. It also suggests that while the park might offer this service, it comes at an additional cost, and the pricing can fluctuate.
Based on the limited information, specific services and features of Boone RV Park are not extensively detailed. We can infer that basic utility hookups are available. However, information regarding other common RV park amenities such as Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, restrooms and showers, recreational areas, or pet-specific facilities is currently missing. Local users considering Boone RV Park would need to inquire directly about the availability and quality of these services based on their individual needs.
Similarly, there is no promotional information available in the provided data. Potential guests would need to contact the park to inquire about any special rates, discounts for longer stays, or other promotions that might be offered. It's always a good practice to ask about pricing for different site types (if available) and to confirm all costs before making a reservation.
In summary, Boone RV Park in Lampasas, Texas, appears to be a basic RV park that might serve as an adequate overnight stop for travelers in transit, offering level gravel sites and working utilities. However, concerns have been raised regarding the overall tidiness and maintenance of the park, specifically the issue of pet waste. Additionally, the cost for services like waste dumping should be considered. The lack of information on other amenities and features necessitates direct communication with the park management to determine if it meets the requirements for a longer or more comfortable stay.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," it is recommended to weigh the convenience of a potential overnight stop against the reported cleanliness issues and the lack of detailed information about other services and features. Contacting Boone RV Park directly at (512) 556-5171 or +1 512-556-5171 is crucial to gather more comprehensive information and address any specific concerns. It would also be prudent to compare Boone RV Park with other RV parks in the Lampasas area to ensure you choose a facility that best aligns with your needs and expectations for your RV travel experience.

Office closed on Saturdays but set up camp on site 66 as planned. All gravel, though level site and utilities work. Mar 22, 2025 · Sanbonani ProductionsEven though the cost of pumping and dumping went from $15.00 to $25.00, it's still a nice park. I'm just shocked the cost went up so much. We're in trouble in this country. Not their fault, though.
Sep 12, 2023 · BeardedRV TechFirst time staying here and will NOT go back. The place is not worth the $40 a night charge. The best western 1/ 2 mile away is only $45 a night. The staff needs work on customer service. There internt site says they have wifi, but they don't, you can not make reservations on line . We where not given the door code to use the showers or rec hall. The staff never answerd the phone. The Highway noise (right next to the rv park) is sooo loud, it's hard to sleep. There are allot more RV parks within 10-15 miles that are better.
Mar 08, 2021 · Ken BThis park is located on a very busy and loud highway. It can be heard 24/7.No pick nick table at our site. Close together sites. Convenient to the city? Yes. Guess it depends on what you are looking for. Would not go back. Price per night was excessive given the location. If you need a bath house, etc. maybe its worth it. Not for us.
Jun 07, 2019 · Terri ChristianA Good Sam park with eas access next to hwy 281. Has some pull through spaces. Road noise can be an issue. We stayed overnight with a full hookup. Rate was $40 and a Good Sam discounted rate was $36.
