Located at 380 Old Vanceboro Rd and Stilley Ave, New Bern, NC 28560, USA, this village caters to a diverse range of long-term residents. For inquiries, you can reach them by phone at (252) 288-3820 or mobile at +1 252-288-3820. While the platform category "RV Parks Near Me" typically implies temporary stays, Bridgeton RV & Mobile Home Village, as its name suggests, encompasses both short-term RV accommodations and longer-term mobile home residency, making it relevant for a broader search for extended stays or permanent manufactured housing.
Bridgeton RV & Mobile Home Village is situated in New Bern, a historic city in Eastern North Carolina, known for its waterfront and charming downtown. The specific location of the village, at 380 Old Vanceboro Rd and Stilley Ave, suggests a setting somewhat removed from the immediate hustle and bustle of downtown New Bern, potentially offering a quieter environment, yet still within reasonable proximity to local amenities.
Customer reviews offer varying perspectives on the park's environment. One review notes, "Has definitely gone down hill. Junky looking, only 3 well maintained homes in this park. Over ran with feral cats & dogs running everywhere. The park manager doesn't hold tenants accountable. Junky looking huge skeleton figurines outside of one camper, excessive cars, trucks, junk everywhere. This place needs cleaning up. Excessively loud music all times of the day playing." This review highlights concerns about the general upkeep and appearance of the park, issues with animal control, and noise levels. It suggests a need for improvement in community standards and management oversight.
Conversely, another review offers a more positive outlook, stating, "Well maintained puppy park, no loud partying, no fighting or yelling. A variety of birds and squirrels to observe and feed. Far enough away from mainstream society that you don't have to worry about constant traffic noise but not so far that you have to travel far for groceries or worry about wi-fi or cellphone service." This contrasting perspective suggests that experiences can vary within the park, or that there might be different areas or periods of time influencing perceptions. It points to potential benefits such as a dedicated pet area, natural wildlife observation, and a balance between peacefulness and accessibility to essential services like groceries, Wi-Fi, and cellphone service. The absence of constant traffic noise is also highlighted as a positive aspect of its location.
Given these divergent reviews, prospective residents should consider visiting the property in person to form their own assessment of the current conditions, cleanliness, noise levels, and overall atmosphere.
As a combined RV and mobile home village, Bridgeton offers both designated RV sites for transient or extended stays and lots for permanent manufactured homes. While specific detailed amenities for each type of site are not broadly available, typical offerings in such communities include:
- Utility Hookups: For RV sites, this generally means full hookups with electric (30/50 amp), water, and sewer connections. Mobile home lots would also have these essential utility connections available for residents to set up their services.
- Lot Rentals: For mobile home residents, the primary service is the rental of the land parcel where their manufactured home is placed. This typically includes access to the park's common infrastructure.
- Pet Amenities: The mention of a "well maintained puppy park" in a review indicates that the village likely provides dedicated space for pets, which is a significant feature for pet owners. This would suggest the park is pet-friendly, though specific pet policies (e.g., breed restrictions, number of pets) would need to be confirmed directly.
- Internet and Cell Service: The positive review mentions not having to worry about Wi-Fi or cellphone service, implying that connectivity is generally reliable within the park. This is a crucial feature for both RV travelers and long-term residents.
Other common services and features in similar parks, which would require direct confirmation for Bridgeton RV & Mobile Home Village, might include laundry facilities, communal gathering areas, trash collection services, and perhaps basic on-site management for resident support and rule enforcement. The varying reviews on accountability suggest that management's role in maintaining community standards is a key factor.
As a residential community, Bridgeton RV & Mobile Home Village would operate with a set of policies and rules designed to govern residents' conduct and maintain the community's standards. These commonly cover areas such as:
- Maintenance and Aesthetics: Expectations for residents to maintain their individual lots and homes to a certain standard. The negative review explicitly points to issues in this area, indicating that enforcement or adherence may be inconsistent.
- Vehicle Policies: Rules regarding the number and type of vehicles allowed per site, and designated parking areas. The mention of "excessive cars, trucks, junk everywhere" in one review suggests this could be an area where rules are either lacking or not consistently enforced.
- Noise Regulations: Policies to ensure a peaceful environment, particularly regarding loud music or disruptive activities. The conflicting reviews on noise levels (one mentioning "no loud partying" and the other "excessively loud music all times of the day playing") highlight the importance of understanding and enforcing such policies.
- Animal Control: Regulations concerning pets, including leashing requirements, waste disposal, and addressing stray or feral animals. The presence of "feral cats & dogs running everywhere" as noted in a review points to a potential challenge in this aspect of park management.
- Residency Requirements: Specific terms for mobile home lot rentals and RV site rentals, including lease agreements, payment schedules, and any application processes.
Prospective residents, especially those considering long-term stays, should proactively request and review a comprehensive list of the park's rules and regulations to ensure they align with their expectations for community living.
Specific promotional offers for Bridgeton RV & Mobile Home Village are not widely available in general public information. However, typical promotional strategies for such parks often include:
- Long-Term Stay Discounts: Reduced rates for extended RV stays or for signing longer mobile home lot leases.
- Seasonal Rates: Varied pricing based on demand during different times of the year.
- Referral Programs: Incentives for current residents who refer new tenants.
- Utility Inclusions: Clear communication about which utilities are included in the lot rent versus those that are the resident's responsibility.
Given the mixed reviews, direct communication with the park management is crucial. Prospective residents should inquire about the current state of the park, how management addresses concerns raised in reviews (such as maintenance, noise, and animal control), and what efforts are being made to improve the community environment. This direct engagement will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information for making an informed decision about Bridgeton RV & Mobile Home Village, whether for an RV stay or a mobile home residency.

May 03, 2024 · Eric PyerMy experience there was the girlfriend Christine threatening me most days, and now others because they are associated with me. She likes drama. She even drags her boyfriend in it. I don't recommend this place unless its extremely temporary. I didn't have to do or say anything for me to be a problem. She told a 74 year old lady that she wasn't allowed to ask any neighbors for help if she needs it, based on the fact that she didn't like her. Now she threatened her for eviction because I was sleeping there. I cleaned their mirror and sliced my finger tip almost completely off in the place they rented to me, the awning was raggedy, and not much help. The hookups weren't up to code, I was living in a fire hazard, and don't even get me started on the sewage. My system was supposed to be temporary, but it was by no means up to code, which is why it kept getting backed up. I mentioned a leak under the sink that was never fixed in October. I even had bugs coming out of the toilet I had to fix. Baby spiders anyone?
Jan 27, 2022 · Heather StimsonOwners are out-of-state, and property managers pretty much do as they please, with very questionable business practices and bad attitudes towards anyone they don't personally like. Property managers told an elderly lady (70+ years old) to not speak to any neighbors, or ask anyone in the park for any kind of assistance. This is the south, we don't treat our elders like that around here, PERIOD.No actual paperwork was provided for rental property, tried to evict tenant without proper notice and serving of papers. Electrical and sewer hookup were not up to code. Awning on rental was an eye sore and nowhere near safe.I would avoid Noah and Christine, and this park like the plague.
Jan 27, 2022 · Todd Maples⛺️☀️We loved this neighborhood! I can’t call it a camp ground, because Noam & Everyone helped you, made you feel welcomed and their neighbor! We worked nights and lived here for a month. We hated to leave! Definitely stop by if you are in the area! 😊💕
