Clayton's RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Clayton's RV Park, located at 92 Clayton Court Rd, Washington, PA 15301, USA. For local users searching within the "RV parks near me" category, Clayton's RV Park offers a unique option characterized by its simplicity and quiet atmosphere. Based on customer reviews, it's important to note that while listed as an RV park, it functions primarily as a mobile home park with the capacity to accommodate recreational vehicles. This distinction provides a particular context for understanding the environment and available services.
One reviewer who stayed for a month provides a nuanced perspective, giving a 3-star rating but clarifying that this is "not a bad review." They emphasize that Clayton's RV Park is "truly not bad," but also "not a 5-star type of place," indicating a more basic offering. This reviewer points out the key characteristic that "this is not really an RV Park, this is a mobile home park that you could park your RV at." This is a crucial piece of information for those specifically seeking dedicated RV park amenities. However, they also highlight a significant positive: "We were the only RV there, which was lovely," suggesting a potentially private and less crowded experience for RVers.
The same reviewer further characterizes Clayton's RV Park as suitable for those who desire "simple, quiet, & are ok with no amenities." This clearly sets expectations for potential visitors who might be looking for extensive facilities or recreational activities typically found in more developed RV resorts. For RVers who prioritize peace and quiet over a wide range of amenities, Clayton's RV Park could be an appealing choice within the "RV parks near me" listings.
Another reviewer describes the location as "very beautiful, quite and secluded," further reinforcing the image of a peaceful and private setting. This individual also praises the owner as "a wonderful person," suggesting positive and friendly management, which can significantly enhance the overall guest experience. This sentiment aligns with the first reviewer's comment that "the lady who runs it is nice."
Expanding on the atmosphere, the second reviewer states, "If you want a campground like atmosphere, this is the place." This is an interesting comparison, suggesting a more natural and perhaps less structured environment than a typical RV park with tightly packed sites and numerous facilities. The term "campground like atmosphere" might imply more space between sites (though the first review's comment about being the only RV there could also contribute to this perception), a more natural setting, and perhaps a focus on the outdoors and tranquility.
Considering Clayton's RV Park within the "RV parks near me" category, it appears to cater to a specific niche of RV travelers. These are individuals who value peace, quiet, and a more secluded environment over extensive amenities and a bustling RV park atmosphere. The fact that it primarily operates as a mobile home park might mean that the infrastructure and services are geared more towards long-term residents, but the positive experiences of the RVers suggest that it can still provide a pleasant stay for those with the right expectations.
Potential RV visitors should be prepared for a more basic setup, possibly with fewer dedicated RV amenities compared to a traditional RV park. It would be prudent to inquire about the specific services available for RVs, such as hookups for electricity, water, and sewer. Given that it's primarily a mobile home park, these might be available but could be configured differently or have different capacities than those found in parks designed solely for RVs. Asking about the size and type of RV sites available would also be important to ensure a comfortable fit.
The positive remarks about the owner/manager being nice and wonderful are significant. Friendly and helpful management can greatly contribute to a positive stay, even if the physical amenities are limited. It suggests a welcoming environment and a willingness to assist guests. This personal touch can be a major draw for many travelers.
In conclusion, Clayton's RV Park in Washington, PA, offers a simple, quiet, and potentially secluded experience for RVers. While it operates primarily as a mobile home park, it can accommodate RVs and appears to be particularly appealing to those who prioritize peace and a less crowded environment over extensive amenities. The positive feedback regarding the friendly owner/manager further enhances its appeal. For local users searching within the "RV parks near me" category and valuing tranquility and a more natural setting, Clayton's RV Park is worth considering. However, it is essential to have realistic expectations regarding the amenities and to directly inquire about the services available for RVs to ensure it meets individual needs. The description as having a "campground like atmosphere" suggests a more laid-back and perhaps less developed setting, which can be a significant draw for those seeking a break from more commercialized RV park experiences.

Clayton's RV Park Reviews
3 stars BUT this is not a bad review. I stayed 1 month & it is truly not bad, it's just not a 5 star type of place & I am ok with that. This is not really an RV Park, this is a mobile home park that you could park your RV at. The lady who runs it is nice. We were the only RV there, which was lovely. If you want simple, quiet, & are ok with no amenities.

Aug 03, 2019 · Rachel VedderI have read the reviews here and I gotta say that the only thing I see is a woman who is trying to keep what she has nice. We have been here almost two weeks and we love it. Its quiet and beautiful. Diane has done alot of work to the place to make it better and more stable for larger campers. She stops by once in awhile to see if we need anything and if everything is going ok. We didn't know we would need a 50 amp plug in extension and she happily loaned us one till we could order one of our own. She does ask that you clean up after yourself and any pets you may have as any park owner would. She has had people leave here and leave trash all over and let their animals make a complete mess. And as far as helping people out they she has burned too many times to let people stay until they get paid. Too many have pulled out and not paid her a dime. So I see the shady ones who leave the bad reviews. We have enjoyed it here immensely. Diane had been nothing but hospitable and kind. She is strict with her rules but definitely has a reason to be. I give this park 5 stars and would give more if I could. Its absolutley beautiful here and definitely worth the drive to our work site. I will say that if you end up leaving before the month is through there is no refunds. This is an edit so I am editing my review for 3 stars instead of 5.
Jul 12, 2019 · Lisa BlevinsGreat park. Big yards. Quiet. I saw the sour puss lady that gave a one star review and let me tell you I'm glad they left. They had a viscous dog that attacked everything and everyone the day they got here. The owners politely asked them to keep the little monster on a leash. As for phone service anyone who spends any real time pipelining here knows all service is spotty. I'm surprised they got any refund. Most parks will not refund any money on monthly sites. I guess ya better know what you're getting into before you commit? My stay here is and has been great. Owners are nice. Site is peaceful. Internet company offers month to month service. Honestly I'm glad those people with the mean dog left. It's just too bad they had to badmouth a park who did them a solid and refunded any amount. Spots in this area are hard to get. This one is the best I've had.
Jun 09, 2016 · chet plumeThe park itself is nice, except for the driveway in and out. The owner keeps it rough to keep traffic slow. It will beat up your truck and bounce your camper at 5mph. The owner is less than friendly. Your rent is a little high, and there is no such thing as a refund. If you pay today and have to leave three days from now, you get nothing back.
