Cliftwood 55+ RV and Home Community Introduce
For local users seeking "RV parks near me" with a focus on a more mature and long-term community, Cliftwood 55+ RV and Home Community located at 7101 W Anthony Rd, Ocala, FL 34479, USA, presents an option tailored for individuals aged 55 and over. This community offers a blend of RV sites and mobile home living, fostering a residential environment for active adults. You can reach them at (352) 352-2559 or their mobile number +1 352-352-2559 for inquiries about availability and community details.
As with any residential community, understanding the experiences of current residents is crucial for prospective members. The following introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Cliftwood 55+ RV and Home Community based on the limited customer reviews available online. These reviews offer insights into various aspects of the community, including potential issues and positive attributes.
Environment and Community Spirit
One long-term resident of 22 years offers a perspective that highlights the strong sense of community within Cliftwood 55+ RV and Home Community. They acknowledge that, like any park, Cliftwood has faced its share of transitions with residents, owners, and managers. However, they emphasize the proactive efforts of the residents to maintain their homes, enjoy social activities, and support one another, particularly those who are away from their primary families. This suggests a positive and engaged community atmosphere where residents take pride in their living environment and value neighborly connections.
The resident also commends Stacey, the manager, for her hard work and dedication in addressing residents' questions and concerns. This indicates a level of active management presence and an effort to maintain positive communication within the community. The overall sentiment expressed by this long-term resident is one of working together for a peaceful and enjoyable park.
Potential Issues: Electrical Meter Concerns and Wi-Fi
In contrast to the positive community spirit, another reviewer raises significant concerns regarding the accuracy of electrical meters within the park. This reviewer states that their mother, who also resides in an RV in the community, has experienced unexpectedly high electricity bills. This issue reportedly affects approximately one-third of the residents in the park, suggesting a potentially widespread problem with the electrical infrastructure or billing system.
The specific issue described is that some residents' meters appear to be incorrectly measuring electricity usage, leading to them being billed for the consumption of neighboring lots. In the reviewer's mother's case, she was allegedly paying for the electricity used by her own RV, the RV next to hers, and the trailer on the other side. This resulted in double payments for two lots, with the affected residents and their neighbors all paying separately as well. Such a situation would undoubtedly cause significant financial distress and frustration for those impacted.
The same reviewer also mentions a discrepancy regarding promised amenities. Residents were reportedly told they would have access to free Wi-Fi. However, this service was not functioning at the time of the review, and the management's response was that they were "working on it." The lack of a promised amenity and the ongoing delay in its provision can be a source of dissatisfaction for residents who rely on internet access.
Services and Management Response
The information regarding services is somewhat mixed. The long-term resident praises the current manager, Stacey, for her efforts in communication and addressing resident inquiries. This suggests a responsive and engaged management style. However, the electrical meter issue indicates a potential systemic problem that requires effective and timely resolution from the park management.
The lack of functional Wi-Fi, despite being promised, also points to a service issue that needs to be addressed to meet resident expectations. The management's communication about working on the problem is a positive step, but a resolution is necessary to restore trust and satisfaction among residents who were expecting this amenity.
Features and Amenities
Beyond the mention of promised but currently unavailable free Wi-Fi, the provided reviews do not offer extensive details about the features and amenities of Cliftwood 55+ RV and Home Community. Typically, a 55+ community might offer amenities such as a clubhouse, recreational facilities (e.g., a pool, shuffleboard courts), organized activities, and potentially laundry facilities. The absence of information about these aspects in the reviews does not necessarily mean they do not exist, but it highlights the need for prospective residents to inquire specifically about the available amenities.
The fact that the community accommodates both RVs and mobile homes suggests that it offers a range of site types and potentially varying levels of hookups and infrastructure depending on the type of dwelling.
Promotional Information
Based on the available reviews, it is challenging to extract explicit promotional information. The positive aspect highlighted by the long-term resident is the strong community spirit and the efforts of residents to create a peaceful and enjoyable environment. The praise for the manager's responsiveness could also be seen as a positive attribute. However, these are balanced by the significant concerns raised about the electrical meters and the lack of promised Wi-Fi.
For potential residents, the "55+" designation itself is a key piece of information, indicating that the community is designed for active adults seeking a peer group and potentially age-related activities or a quieter lifestyle. The combination of RV and home sites offers flexibility for different housing preferences within the senior demographic.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of any promotional offerings or the overall value proposition of Cliftwood 55+ RV and Home Community, prospective residents should directly contact the management and inquire about the community's features, amenities, activities, and any specific promotions for new residents.
Weighing the Positive and Negative
The reviews of Cliftwood 55+ RV and Home Community present a mixed picture. On one hand, there is a strong sense of community and a long-term resident who speaks positively about the neighborly atmosphere and the manager's efforts. On the other hand, there are serious allegations of widespread electrical meter issues leading to overbilling and the failure to provide promised Wi-Fi.
For local users considering this community, it is essential to weigh these factors carefully. The social environment and management responsiveness are important aspects of community living. However, significant issues like incorrect billing and the lack of promised amenities can negatively impact residents' quality of life and finances.
Recommendations for Potential Residents
Prospective residents interested in Cliftwood 55+ RV and Home Community should take the following steps:
- Contact Management Directly: Inquire about the availability of RV and home sites, amenities offered, community activities, and any specific policies or rules.
- Inquire About the Electrical Meter Issue: Specifically ask about the reported problems with electrical meters and what steps the management is taking to resolve them. Request information about how electricity usage is measured and billed.
- Ask About Wi-Fi: Get an update on the status of the promised free Wi-Fi and the timeline for its availability.
- Visit the Community: Conduct an in-person visit to assess the overall environment, the condition of the sites and common areas, and the general atmosphere.
- Speak with Current Residents (If Possible): Try to connect with current residents to get a broader range of perspectives on living in the community, beyond the limited online reviews.
- Review Lease Agreements Carefully: Understand all terms and conditions before committing to residency.
By taking these steps, local users can gather more comprehensive and up-to-date information to make an informed decision about whether Cliftwood 55+ RV and Home Community is the right fit for their needs and lifestyle.

Cliftwood 55+ RV and Home Community Reviews
I haven't had many issues with park, but my mother lives in a RV too right next to me and her electric has been outrageous. Apparently 1/3 of the people in the park are having issues. Apparently the electrical meters are all messed up. So my mother was paying for 3 trailers electric. Mine hers and the trailer on the other side of her. Plus I was paying my electric and so was her neighbor. So they got paid twice for 2 lots. This is happening to several of the meters on other lotsPlus we were told we get free WI-FI. Well we're not and they keep saying they're working on it.
May 12, 2024 · Karen ApplegateI have lived here for 22 years & yes I have seen residents, owners & managers come & go as there is no park anywhere that doesn’t have problems but we residents here work real hard to keep our homes neat, have fun & enjoy being with our families away from home. Stacey our Manager has worked real hard & does her best to answer our questions. As a whole we all try to work together for a peaceful & enjoyable park.
Apr 10, 2022 · Lela McCollumI am sure this is a great place to live overall. We came in on a Sunday afternoon to a site we were told was a concrete pad standard pull through with 30 amp, water and sewer. There was no concrete pad, the electric did not work at all and there was no way to contact anyone. My husband is a home hemodialysis patient and was unable to do his treatment as we had no electricity. Thank goodness we were only here one night.
Mar 19, 2023 · Dawn BatesStacey was such a great manager the park was kept up and the communications with the residents on a daily basis was great the compassion she showed to each of us was beyond reproach and she was very professional at the same time congratulations on your promotion you will and are missed by all thank you for all you did for this park. I sincerely hope our next park manager will be able to continue on with the same assets as you.
Aug 18, 2022 · rebeccaStacey is the best manager I have ever had and I have lived in quite a few mobile home parks. She is very pleasant and gets things done. She works very hard and seems to never really take time off. She's incredible. Don't let her get away what an asset to the community.
