Coastal River RV Resort Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in the Steinhatchee, Florida region, Coastal River RV Resort, situated at 24123 US-19, presents itself as an option for travelers seeking a base to explore the natural beauty of the Gulf Coast. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the resort based on available customer feedback, highlighting both potential positives and areas of concern for prospective guests.
The environment of Coastal River RV Resort appears to have elicited contrasting opinions from recent visitors. One reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction, stating that "The picture absolutely does not reflect the real place" and strongly advising against staying there. This individual described issues such as "low voltage to power box, not even a breaker next to plug" and reported witnessing "people digging up UL wire under ground with black tape on the wires." Furthermore, they characterized their assigned site as a "dust bowl" and deemed the term "Resort" inappropriate for the location. This feedback paints a concerning picture regarding the condition and safety of at least some parts of the RV park's infrastructure and environment.
In stark contrast, another guest reported a positive experience, noting that the management "went out of the way to ensure we had the best campsite for our 31' RV" and that they "were able to level easily." This suggests that some sites within the resort may be well-suited for larger RVs and offer relatively level ground. This reviewer also described the "campground" as "clean and quiet," offering a more favorable perspective on the overall ambiance. However, their stay was during a period of rain, limiting their exploration of the grounds, and they did not use the bathroom facilities.
Regarding services and features, the information available provides some details. The positive review explicitly mentions "full hook up, incl. sewer," although it's noted that it's uncertain if all sites offer sewer connections. Full hookups are a significant amenity for RV travelers, providing water, electricity, and sewer connections at the campsite. The presence of a "small building with at least one washing machine and dryer" indicates the availability of laundry facilities, which can be particularly valuable for longer stays. The positive reviewer also appreciated the manager, Bill, who "came by and asked if everything was to our liking," suggesting a degree of attentiveness from the management.
However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the electrical infrastructure, citing low voltage and potentially unsafe wiring practices. These are critical issues for RV users who rely on stable and safe power connections for their appliances and comfort. The lack of a breaker at the power plug, as reported, could also pose safety risks. The description of a site as a "dust bowl" suggests that some areas may lack adequate ground cover, potentially leading to dusty and uncomfortable conditions, especially during dry periods.
The interaction with management also received contrasting feedback. The guest who had a negative experience reported informing the manager of their decision not to stay an additional night but did not receive a refund offer. This suggests a potentially inflexible or unsatisfactory customer service experience in addressing concerns. On the other hand, the positive reviewer mentioned the manager's proactive check-in, indicating a willingness to ensure guest satisfaction, at least in some instances.
Given the conflicting reviews, it is crucial for potential guests to seek further information and potentially exercise caution when considering Coastal River RV Resort. The significant discrepancies in the reported experiences suggest variability in site quality, infrastructure, or management responsiveness.

Located in Steinhatchee, Florida, Coastal River RV Resort offers access to a region known for its natural coastal beauty and opportunities for fishing and scalloping. The town itself is a small, laid-back community that attracts visitors seeking outdoor recreation. While the location might be appealing for those interested in exploring the Steinhatchee River and the Gulf of Mexico, the condition and services of the RV resort itself appear to be a critical factor to consider.
In conclusion, the feedback for Coastal River RV Resort is mixed, with significant concerns raised by one reviewer regarding the infrastructure and overall quality of the resort, while another reported a satisfactory experience with their specific site and management interaction. Potential guests should carefully weigh these contrasting perspectives and prioritize direct communication with the resort management to obtain current and detailed information about the sites, services, and any recent changes. Given the strong negative feedback regarding safety and site conditions, it would be prudent to seek detailed assurances and potentially request photos of the specific site you might be assigned before making a reservation at this "RV park Steinhatchee FL." Coastal River RV Resort Reviews
The picture absolutely does not reflect the real place. I don’t normally leave reviews but you don’t want to stay here. Low voltage to power box, not even a breaker next to plug. I saw people digging up UL wire under ground with black tape on the wires. The sight was some kind of white ground power that was a dust bowl. The word Resort should not be used to describe this place. I told the manager I was not staying another night. He told me I understand but never offered to refund
Mar 04, 2025 · Randy KanterThey went out of the way to ensure we had the best campsite for our 31' RV. We were able to level easily (we do have an automatic jack system). We were there for only two nights, for the Fiddlers Crab Fest in Steinhatchee, and it rained the whole time, so we weren't able to walk around the grounds. We didn't use the bathrooms so can't review them, but noticed a small building with at least one washing machine and dryer. The campground is clean and quiet. The manager, Bill, came by and asked if everything was to our liking and we told him yes. We did have fill hook up, incl. sewer, but not sure if all their sites have sewer. We would definitely stay there again.

Jan 02, 2025 · DeborahVery beautiful and peaceful place. Everyone is friendly. Clean bathrooms and an onsite laundry. Minutes away from downtown Steinhatchee and shopping centers depending on what you want are within 20-45mins of you. They also offer a military discount.
