Dallas Wylie RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for “RV parks near me” in the Wylie, Texas area, particularly one that offers a peaceful and secure setting with convenient access to Lavon Lake and the Dallas metropolitan area, Dallas Wylie RV Park, located at 1805 E Stone Rd, Wylie, TX 75098, USA, presents an option worth considering. You can reach them at (972) 772-1372 or +1 972-772-1372 for inquiries and reservations. Based on recent customer reviews, this newer park offers a blend of positive aspects, such as a quiet and safe environment with friendly residents and security features, alongside some limitations regarding on-site amenities.
One reviewer describes Dallas Wylie RV Park as a "Great little arc park quiet safe clean." The use of "arc park" is likely a typographical error and intended to be "RV park." This initial assessment highlights several key benefits: a quiet atmosphere, a sense of safety, and a clean environment. The reviewer further notes that "The people that stay are super friendly," suggesting a welcoming and positive community among the residents. A significant feature that stands out is the presence of "cameras on every spot," which provides an added layer of security and peace of mind for guests. Based on these positive attributes, the reviewer "highly recommend" Dallas Wylie RV Park.
Another reviewer also describes the park as a "Nice peaceful park" and highlights its advantageous location, being "Very close to the lake" (presumably Lavon Lake, a popular recreational area in the vicinity) and within a "Half hour drive to Dallas," offering a balance between a serene setting and access to urban amenities. This reviewer mentions that, being a new park, Dallas Wylie RV Park offered "a nice move-in special of bogo month free" (buy one month, get one month free), which could be a significant financial incentive for those planning an extended stay. However, this reviewer also points out a notable drawback: "No facilities or amenities. For the same monthly price, there are other parks which have laundry, restroom, shower facilities." This indicates that while the park may offer a pleasant environment and a good location, it currently lacks essential on-site amenities that are commonly found in other RV parks.
The second reviewer also mentions a couple of other potential downsides. They note that "The drive is a bit rough through the backroads," which could be a factor to consider for those with larger RVs or those who prefer well-maintained access roads. Additionally, they express concern about a "30% cancelation fee before ever checking in," deeming it "excessive." This suggests a potentially strict cancellation policy that prospective guests should be aware of before booking. Despite these drawbacks, the reviewer states that they "Would have rated 5 stars if the fee was more reasonable," indicating that the park has several positive attributes that are somewhat overshadowed by the lack of amenities and the cancellation policy.
Based on these reviews, we can compile the following information about the environment, services, and features of Dallas Wylie RV Park:
- Quiet and Peaceful Environment: Both reviewers describe the park as quiet and peaceful, suggesting a tranquil setting for residents.
- Safe and Secure: The presence of security cameras on every spot provides a significant sense of safety and security for guests and their belongings.
- Clean Grounds: One reviewer explicitly mentions the park being clean, indicating good maintenance of the overall environment.
- Friendly Residents: The community within the park is described as super friendly, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Proximity to Lavon Lake: The park's location offers convenient access to Lavon Lake, a popular destination for outdoor recreation.
- Reasonable Distance to Dallas: Being a half-hour drive from Dallas, the park provides access to the urban amenities and employment opportunities of the city.
- Potential Move-In Specials: As a newer park, Dallas Wylie RV Park has offered attractive move-in specials, such as a buy-one-get-one-free month, although the current availability of such specials is unknown.
- Lack of On-Site Amenities: A significant drawback is the current absence of on-site facilities such as laundry, restrooms, and showers, which are commonly expected at RV parks.
- Potentially Rough Access Roads: The drive to the park via backroads is described as a bit rough, which could be a concern for some RVers.
- Strict Cancellation Policy: A reported 30% cancellation fee before check-in is considered excessive by one reviewer, suggesting a potentially inflexible booking policy.
Given that Dallas Wylie RV Park is described as a newer park, it is possible that the lack of on-site amenities is a temporary situation and that facilities may be added in the future. However, as of the time of these reviews, guests should be prepared for a more self-contained RV living experience without communal restrooms, showers, or laundry.
The reviews do not provide any specific details about the types of RV sites available (e.g., pull-through, back-in), the availability and type of hookups (water, electricity, sewer), or the layout of the park. Prospective guests should inquire about these details directly when contacting the park.
To obtain the most current information on pricing, availability, and whether any move-in specials or other promotions are currently being offered, it is essential to contact Dallas Wylie RV Park directly via phone. They will be able to provide details on their rates and any incentives for new or long-term guests.
In conclusion, Dallas Wylie RV Park in Wylie, TX, offers a quiet, safe, and clean environment with friendly residents and the added security of cameras on every spot. Its proximity to Lavon Lake and reasonable driving distance to Dallas are also appealing. However, potential guests should be aware that the park currently lacks on-site amenities such as laundry, restrooms, and showers, which may be a significant consideration depending on their needs and the self-sufficiency of their RV setup. The reportedly rough access roads and potentially strict cancellation policy are also factors to take into account. If you value a peaceful and secure setting near recreational areas and are comfortable without traditional RV park amenities, Dallas Wylie RV Park may be a suitable option. Contacting them directly at (972) 772-1372 or +1 972-772-1372 is recommended to get the latest information and determine if it meets your specific requirements.

Apr 29, 2025 · Angela WillamsWe originally chose Dallas Wylie RV Park because of its location. It’s quick access to Dallas’s hub of small cities. Stayed 3 weeks in a pleasant private fenced in site. Our (35FT Grand Design Influence) rig fit in the site with room to spare. Enjoy the extra privacy, the green grass & level gravel pad. My pup enjoy being off leash and I liked fresh air & privacy to hang my clothes without disturbing other RV’s😊. Simple RV Park without amenities, however you’re in the middle of everything you need within minutes and the price is fair for the convenience. We’ll be back.
Mar 12, 2025 · Lisa Pitre-BishopGreat atmosphere smacked in between two lakes so lots of stiff to do with not very far to travel . Has big spaces enough to let your pets run around on leashes and fenced in areas to where you can let them roam without. Love staying here and can't wait to see this place grow.
