Glen Knoll Manufactured Home Community Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" with potential long-term living options such as mobile homes in Wylie, Texas, Glen Knoll Manufactured Home Community, located at 64 Glen Knoll Dr, Wylie, TX 75098, USA, is a community that has received significant negative feedback from its residents, as indicated by the available online reviews. It is crucial for potential local users to carefully consider these experiences when evaluating housing options. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based solely on the provided reviews, ensuring that all expressed concerns are included.
One of the primary issues highlighted by a former resident involves the management's handling of financial matters and tenant relations. This reviewer, who moved into Glen Knoll in November, described a consistently unwelcoming atmosphere. Within the first two months of their tenancy, they alleged that the new management attempted to evict them on three separate occasions due to money orders getting lost on the management's side. Despite this being an error on the part of the management, the residents were reportedly blamed and asked to pay again. This indicates potential issues with the management's organizational processes and their approach to resolving errors, placing undue stress and financial risk on the tenants.
Furthermore, this reviewer reported being subjected to frequent, unexpected small fees for minor issues, often without any prior warning. They described a practice where management would leave a note on the porch and leave, subsequently charging the residents. As an example, they recounted an incident involving recycling collection. While trash was collected on the usual Tuesday, recycling collection occurred later in the day. The residents kept their recycle bin out (allegedly not in the street), and a park representative reportedly took a picture of it at 7 in the morning. The bin was put away around noon. Despite the relatively short time the bin was out and its location, the residents were fined, with a picture attached to the fine notice. The reviewer also noted that the time the photo was taken was whited out on the notice, raising questions about transparency in the fining process.
The second review echoed a similarly negative sentiment, unequivocally labeling Glen Knoll as "The worst community park ever." This strong condemnation suggests a deeply unsatisfactory living experience for this individual as well. A major complaint in this review was the perceived high rent, with the reviewer stating, "Rent is too high! My neighbors complain as well." This indicates a potential issue with the value proposition of living at Glen Knoll, with residents feeling that the cost of living does not align with the quality of the community or its services.
Adding to the concerns about management, this second reviewer also alleged that the management, particularly the "new lady manager," would "try to fine you for everything." This corroborates the first reviewer's experience with unexpected and seemingly arbitrary fines, suggesting a management style focused on generating additional revenue through tenant fees, potentially creating an adversarial relationship between residents and management.
This reviewer, who identified as new to the park and actively trying to leave, explicitly warned others against making the "same mistake" of moving to Glen Knoll. This strong advice from a recent resident underscores the severity of the issues they perceived within the community.
Another significant concern raised in the second review was the presence of numerous "stray cats running loose all over the park." While some individuals may not be bothered by stray animals, a large population of unsupervised cats can lead to various issues, including sanitation concerns, noise, and potential conflicts with residents who have pets or are not comfortable around stray animals. The fact that this was specifically mentioned as a negative aspect highlights its impact on the living environment.
Despite the overwhelmingly negative feedback, the second reviewer did mention two positive features: "they do have a pool and a play ground." These amenities could be attractive to families with children or individuals who enjoy recreational activities. However, the reviewer immediately followed this by stating, "but everything else, forget about it," indicating that these limited positives are significantly outweighed by the numerous negative aspects of living in the community.
Finally, the second reviewer cast doubt on any positive ratings or feedback for Glen Knoll, suggesting that any 4 or 5-star ratings with positive comments are likely from "the same people running the park just to get their ratings up." They also pointed out that the management only seems to respond to positive feedback, implying a lack of engagement with or acknowledgement of resident complaints. This serious accusation, if true, would indicate a lack of genuine effort to address the concerns of the residents and a potential attempt to artificially inflate the park's reputation online.
Based solely on these two detailed and highly critical reviews, it is impossible to provide a positive description of the environment, services, or features of Glen Knoll Manufactured Home Community. The recurring themes of problematic management practices, unexpected and potentially unfair fees, high rent, and a significant stray cat issue paint a concerning picture for potential residents. While the presence of a pool and playground is mentioned as a positive, these appear to be overshadowed by the numerous negative aspects reported by residents.
Given the nature of the feedback, no positive promotional information can be objectively presented. Instead, potential local users searching for "RV parks near me" or considering mobile home living in Wylie, TX, are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and thoroughly investigate Glen Knoll Manufactured Home Community based on the significant concerns raised by its residents. Contacting current residents (if possible) and directly addressing the issues mentioned in these reviews with the management would be prudent steps before making any decisions about moving to this community. The information available online strongly suggests a potentially negative living experience at Glen Knoll Manufactured Home Community.

Glen Knoll Manufactured Home Community Reviews
Me and my roommates moved here back in November, and it feels like ever since we got here, we have not been welcomed. Within the first 2 months the new management tried to evict us 3 times because the money orders got lost on THEIR SIDE, and they tried to blame us and charge us again. Now, we get charged smaller fees all the time for minor things with no warning at all. they just leave a note on your porch and run away, charging you. for example, this week trash came on Tuesday like usual, but the recycling didn’t come until later in the day. we ended up keeping our recycle bin out (not even in the street) and they woke up at 7 in the morning to take a picture of it. we put the bin away around 12 when we got up and thought nothing of it. the next day they sent us a fine for leaving it out, with picture attached (they even whited out the time the photo was taken!!)
Apr 20, 2023 · Milo HunterThe worst community park ever. Rent is too high! My neighbors complain as well. They'll try to fine you for everything. Especially with the new lady manager. I'm new to the park and trying to get out. Saving you guys from making the same mistake. So many stray cats running loose all over the park. The only thing I like is that they do have a pool and a play ground but everything else, forget about it.Trust me when I say that any 4 or 5 ratings with positive feedback are the same people running the park just to get their ratings up. Notice how they only reply to positive feedback.
May 23, 2019 · Julio VI moved here a month ago and love it here. Lots of grass. Feels like the country.😍It's been a couple of weeks since I posted . My husband and I love it here. I think the people who give bad reviews don't realize all the work Management is doing. So clean up your yard. Fix some of your own stuff. And help us make it a park we can all be proud of.
Aug 07, 2019 · Nancy BenedictNot safe. Not even a year here yet and already planning to move, my car was vandalized and someone came to our door while my niece was at home by herself when someone came asking for the head of household threatening to turn off the electricity and NOT from our power company. I feel so unsafe and have a lot to lose if someone breaks into our house, I think someone was scoping our place out. It’s only been 9 months and already feel unsafe.
Dec 19, 2020 · Human Sloth GroupI've lived here for 19 years. I've been through 3 owners. Only 1 bad manager. We have a good one right now. If you follow the rules, it's an ok place to live. Some of the residents aren't the best but you have that every where. It's a safe place and people mind there own business.
