I called from Dallas spoke with the office manager named Meredith and she told me she would expedite my app since I was making a drive to get approve and fill out the app. When I got to the office I filled the app out and turned in application fee. The next day I called and asked how was the app going the officer manager advised me she was going to get to it when she could. So I went back to the office come to find out my app was in the top filing cabinet not being worked on basically put on the back burner after she advised me she would expedite my app. I politely asked for my app fee back the office manager advised me it was non refundable. I explained to her everything she said to me over the phone and she looked me and face and said she never spoke to me period. So I told her I would go talk the police department I needed my app fee refunded because she hadn’t done anything with my app. After I said I was going to the police she gave my app fee back in cash. I advise anybody don’t rent from these people and the park looked trashed out anyway! - Shan B

Deerfield Village Mobile Home Community Introduce

Deerfield Village Mobile Home Community, located at 6500 W New Boston Rd Lot 14A in Texarkana, Texas, is primarily identified as a mobile home park. However, given that the platform category is "RV parks near me," it is possible that the community also accommodates RVs for either short-term or long-term stays. For local users exploring their options in Texarkana, it is crucial to consider the limited but significant feedback available from potential or past interactions with the management and the observed condition of the park.

The available customer reviews offer starkly contrasting experiences, but the more detailed account raises serious concerns about the management practices and the overall environment of Deerfield Village Mobile Home Community. One individual, who traveled from Dallas after speaking with the office manager named Meredith, describes a frustrating and ultimately negative encounter. This potential resident was assured that their application would be expedited but later discovered it was not being processed promptly. The subsequent interaction regarding the non-refundable application fee, despite the lack of service, and the alleged denial of the initial conversation by the office manager, paints a troubling picture of the park's administrative conduct.

Furthermore, this reviewer's overall impression of the park's physical environment was negative, stating that "the park looked trashed out anyway!" This is a significant observation for anyone considering residing in or staying at Deerfield Village, whether in a mobile home or an RV. The condition of the grounds, common areas, and overall upkeep of a community can greatly impact the quality of life and the overall experience of its residents and guests. A "trashed out" appearance could suggest a lack of maintenance, potential safety concerns, and an unwelcoming atmosphere.

In contrast to this negative experience, another reviewer offered a brief positive comment, stating, "Amber Adam is such a blessing. I enjoyed visiting with her." This suggests that at least one staff member is perceived positively and provides good customer interaction. However, this isolated positive remark does not negate the serious concerns raised by the other, more detailed review regarding the office management and the park's condition.

Given that Deerfield Village is identified as a mobile home community, its primary focus is likely on providing long-term residential sites for mobile homes. However, many such communities also allocate spaces for RVs, either on a temporary or permanent basis. If RVs are accommodated, the services and features offered might be more basic compared to dedicated RV parks that primarily cater to recreational travelers. Typically, both mobile home and RV communities provide essential utilities:

  • Utility Hookups: This includes electricity (with varying amperage), water connections, and sewage disposal. The reliability and capacity of these hookups are crucial for both mobile homes and RVs.
  • Roadways and Accessibility: Well-maintained roads within the community to allow for the movement of vehicles and the placement of mobile homes and RVs.
  • Waste Management: Provisions for trash collection and disposal are essential for any residential community. The negative review mentions the park's appearance, which might suggest issues with waste management or general upkeep.

Beyond these basics, the availability of other amenities commonly found in RV parks is uncertain based on the limited information. These amenities often include:

  • Restroom and Shower Facilities: For RV guests, especially those in smaller units without full facilities, communal restrooms and showers are important. Their presence and cleanliness at Deerfield Village are unknown.
  • Laundry Facilities: Coin-operated or card-operated laundry rooms are a significant convenience for longer-term residents and travelers. Their availability here is not mentioned.
  • Wi-Fi Access: Internet connectivity has become a standard expectation for many. Whether Deerfield Village provides Wi-Fi for its residents or guests is not indicated.
  • Recreational Areas: Some communities offer amenities like playgrounds, picnic areas, or clubhouses. There is no information about such facilities at Deerfield Village.
  • Pet-Friendly Policies: Many RV parks and mobile home communities allow pets, but specific rules and any designated pet areas vary. This information is not available for Deerfield Village.

The negative review's description of the park as "trashed out" raises concerns about the overall maintenance and aesthetic environment of Deerfield Village. A poorly maintained community can be unappealing and potentially raise safety or health issues. Prospective residents or guests should consider this observation seriously and, if possible, visit the property to assess its condition firsthand.

Given the serious allegations of unprofessional conduct by the office manager in the detailed negative review, potential residents or guests might approach interactions with the management with caution and ensure all agreements and communications are documented clearly. The experience of being misled and then having the initial conversation denied is a significant red flag regarding the park's administrative integrity.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Deerfield Village Mobile Home Community. To inquire about the possibility of accommodating RVs, the availability of sites, pricing (including any application fees or security deposits), the specific services and features offered to RV guests, and the park's policies and regulations, it is essential to contact them directly at (903) 716-2000 or +1 903-716-2000. When calling, it would be prudent to ask about the current condition of the park and to clarify the policies regarding application fees and refunds.

In conclusion, Deerfield Village Mobile Home Community in Texarkana, Texas, presents a mixed picture based on the limited customer reviews. While one brief comment praises a staff member, the more detailed review raises significant concerns about the office management's professionalism and the park's overall condition, described as "trashed out." For local users searching for "RV parks near me," it is crucial to exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering Deerfield Village. Direct contact with the management to inquire about RV accommodations, amenities, policies, and the current state of the park is strongly recommended. The negative feedback regarding management practices and park environment should be carefully weighed against any potential benefits of the location or other factors. A personal visit to assess the property's condition might be advisable if considering a stay here.
