Oakwood MHC Nash Introduce
Oakwood MHC Nash, located at 700 E New Boston Rd in Nash, Texas, is identified as a mobile home community. While the platform category is "RV parks near me," suggesting a potential for accommodating RVs, the overwhelmingly negative feedback from the available customer reviews paints a concerning picture regarding the environment, management, and overall quality of life within this community. Local users searching for RV parks in the Nash area should carefully consider these serious allegations before considering Oakwood MHC Nash for any type of stay.
The environment within Oakwood MHC Nash, based on the provided reviews, appears to have deteriorated significantly over time. One long-term resident notes that while it was "nice when we first moved in, now its becoming the ghetto." This stark contrast suggests a decline in the community's atmosphere and possibly its physical upkeep. Specific issues contributing to this perception include complaints about "loud music playing at all hours," which is reported to be disruptive to residents, including children whose grades are allegedly suffering due to lack of sleep. Furthermore, a "maintenance guy blaring music from his car" demonstrates a lack of consideration for the peace and quiet of the community.
The management of Oakwood MHC Nash comes under severe criticism in the reviews. Multiple accounts highlight issues with a new manager who is reportedly "trying to raise the rent on people who still have current leases," which would be a concerning and potentially illegal practice. Another reviewer labels the management as "terrible" and recounts a series of negative interactions, including being unfairly fined for using an empty pool to protect children from fire ants, and a dismissive response to a serious maintenance issue (a burst pipe). This reviewer felt "targeted for everything" and ultimately left the community due to numerous problems with the landlord, who was described as "not very kind."
Maintenance within Oakwood MHC Nash is also a significant area of concern. One reviewer explicitly states, "Don't expect to get anything fixed either," indicating a lack of responsiveness to maintenance requests. The specific example provided by a former resident of a porch needing repair due to weather rot is particularly alarming. Instead of proper remediation with fresh wood, the maintenance at the time allegedly attached new wood to termite-infested wood, highlighting a substandard and potentially negligent approach to necessary repairs. This lack of effective maintenance can lead to further deterioration of properties and a decline in the overall living conditions.
The reviews also suggest a potentially unfair and inconsistent application of community rules. The former resident who felt targeted recounts being told they "couldn't set up Halloween decorations or anything fun for the kids," while "everyone else got to set up for holidays." This inconsistency in enforcing rules can create a sense of unfairness and resentment among residents, contributing to a negative community atmosphere.
Given that Oakwood MHC Nash is primarily a mobile home community, its infrastructure and services are likely geared towards long-term residential living in mobile homes. However, if RVs are also accommodated, the basic utilities typically provided would include:
- Utility Hookups: Electricity (amperage unspecified), water connections, and sewage disposal. The reliability and capacity of these services are not discussed in the negative reviews, but the overall dissatisfaction suggests potential issues in various aspects of community management.
- Roadways and Accessibility: Roads within the community to allow for the movement of vehicles and the placement of mobile homes and RVs. The condition of these roadways is not mentioned in the reviews.
- Waste Management: Provisions for trash collection and disposal would be expected in a residential community. The general decline in the park's appearance, as noted by one reviewer, might suggest issues with waste management or overall cleanliness.
The availability of amenities commonly found in RV parks, such as restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi access, or recreational areas, is not mentioned in the overwhelmingly negative reviews. It is possible that these amenities are either non-existent or are not a focus given the primary nature of the community as a mobile home park. If RVs are permitted, the lack of these typical RV park amenities could be a significant drawback for travelers.
The consistent and severe criticism across multiple reviews, touching on management incompetence, disruptive noise levels, lack of maintenance, and a deteriorating community environment, strongly suggests that Oakwood MHC Nash may not be a desirable option for anyone seeking a peaceful and well-managed living situation, whether in a mobile home or an RV. The phrase "Seriously, don't move in here" from one reviewer serves as a stark warning.
Currently, no promotional information is available for Oakwood MHC Nash. Given the overwhelmingly negative feedback, it is unlikely that the park would be actively promoting itself positively without addressing the serious concerns raised by its residents and former residents. Anyone considering this community, even for a temporary RV stay, should proceed with extreme caution and, if possible, seek alternative options with more positive reviews and a reputation for better management and living conditions.
If, despite the strong warnings in the reviews, local users still wish to inquire about the possibility of RV stays or to seek clarification on the issues raised, they can contact Oakwood MHC Nash at (903) 490-5605 or +1 903-490-5605. However, given the severity and consistency of the negative feedback, it would be prudent to approach any information received from the management with skepticism and to prioritize finding an RV park with a more positive and reliable reputation in the Nash, Texas area.
In conclusion, the available information paints a very negative picture of Oakwood MHC Nash in Nash, Texas. The community is described as deteriorating, plagued by disruptive noise, suffering from neglectful maintenance, and burdened by terrible management. The experiences shared by residents and former residents should serve as a significant warning to anyone considering this location, whether for mobile home living or as an RV park option. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" are strongly advised to look for alternative accommodations with more favorable reviews and a demonstrated commitment to resident comfort and community well-being. Oakwood MHC Nash, based on the provided feedback, appears to be a community to avoid.

Mar 07, 2022 · Poisyn EbonhartIf I could give it no stars I would. Terrible management. They tried to fine us for a pool that didn't have water in it, we used it for the kids to lay their blankets in to not get bit by fire ants. We had a pipe burst in the bathroom but got told it was the spicket. But it still leaked water everywhere. Felt like we were targeted for everything when we lived there. We ended up leaving due to a lot of problems between us and the landlord. She wasn't very kind to us no matter what we did. We would sit outside and she would tell us we couldn't set up Halloween decorations or anything fun for the kids. But everyone else got to set up for holidays. We also had asked for our porch to get redone as it was weather rot and the maintenance at the time didn't do fresh wood, they attached new wood to termite infested wood. It was just a horrible experience
