Desert Mobile Home Park Introduce
Welcome to Desert Mobile Home Park, located at 1500 N Lamb Blvd in Las Vegas, Nevada. For those searching for 'RV parks near me' or 'mobile home parks near me' in the Las Vegas area, it's important to consider all available information when evaluating potential communities. The following introduction provides an objective overview of Desert Mobile Home Park based on recent customer reviews found online.
Several concerns have been raised regarding the management and accessibility of the main office at Desert Mobile Home Park. One potential resident reported a frustrating experience with the office hours, noting that it does not open until the late afternoon (initially stated as 3 PM, later clarified with an earlier attempted visit around 1 PM). This individual described waiting for an extended period past the posted opening time on two separate occasions without receiving assistance and ultimately having to leave a voicemail to get a response. Such limited office hours and difficulties in reaching management could pose challenges for prospective residents seeking information or current residents needing assistance. This is a crucial factor for those who value easily accessible on-site management when considering 'mobile home living Las Vegas' or looking for 'long-term RV parks Las Vegas'.
Cost and value are also significant points of concern highlighted in the reviews. The lot rent was reported as $720 per month, which does not include essential utilities such as water, sewer, or trash. This additional cost for basic services makes the overall expense potentially higher than initially perceived, impacting the affordability of living in Desert Mobile Home Park compared to other options for 'affordable RV parks Las Vegas' or 'mobile home parks Las Vegas'. Furthermore, despite being mentioned as a 55+ community, the park reportedly requires tenants to have an income three times the rent. This financial requirement, coupled with the perceived lack of amenities such as security gates or on-site security, raises questions about the overall value proposition of the community for its residents.
Another significant drawback mentioned by a potential resident is the limited parking situation, with most units reportedly lacking driveways. This could create inconvenience for residents and their visitors, potentially leading to challenges in finding adequate parking within the park. For individuals with multiple vehicles or frequent visitors, this lack of designated parking per unit is a crucial factor to consider when looking at 'RV parks near me' or 'mobile home parks near me' with ease of access and parking as priorities.
Long-term residents have also voiced concerns about the community environment and management over time. One resident of nearly ten years expressed dissatisfaction, citing rude neighbors and instances of theft, specifically regarding undelivered packages. This paints a concerning picture of the community atmosphere and security within the park. The same long-term resident also noted that since the property was acquired by a new owner ("California"), the lot rent has increased annually without any apparent improvements to the park itself, echoing the earlier sentiment about the lack of value for the cost. This perspective from a long-term resident provides valuable insight into the historical trends and overall living experience at Desert Mobile Home Park.
However, amidst the negative feedback, there is a glimmer of hope regarding the current on-site management. The long-term resident specifically praised "Jennifer," stating that she "seems to be the only manager that we've had that seems to really care and she's trying to fix things and change things." This positive acknowledgment of the current manager suggests that there may be ongoing efforts to improve the community and address some of the long-standing issues. The resident expressed hope that the new owners and the residents would support Jennifer in her endeavors to make positive changes. This indicates a potential turning point for Desert Mobile Home Park, although the extent and impact of these changes remain to be seen.
Given the information available, Desert Mobile Home Park presents a community with several challenges, including limited office accessibility, potentially high costs relative to the lack of amenities and security, parking limitations for many units, and past issues with community behavior and management. However, the positive feedback regarding the current manager, Jennifer, suggests a potential for improvement and a willingness to address existing problems. For individuals considering 'mobile home living Las Vegas' or looking for 'affordable RV parks Las Vegas' in this location, it is crucial to weigh these factors carefully.
Prospective residents are strongly encouraged to contact Desert Mobile Home Park directly at (702) 879-4190 to inquire about current lot availability, detailed pricing including all utilities, specific amenities offered (if any), parking arrangements, security measures, and the management's plans for addressing the concerns raised in the reviews. Visiting the park in person would also be essential to assess the current environment, the condition of the units, and to speak with current residents (if possible) to gain a more well-rounded perspective. This due diligence will help potential residents determine if the potential for improvement under the current manager outweighs the existing challenges and whether Desert Mobile Home Park aligns with their individual needs and expectations for a mobile home or RV living community in Las Vegas.

Desert Mobile Home Park Reviews
I had a frustrating experience with Desert Mobile Home Park. The main office doesn’t open until 3 PM, which is unusually late. When I returned at the posted time, I waited until 3:35 PM without any assistance and had to leave a voicemail before getting a response. The lot rent is $720, which doesn’t include water, sewer, or trash—making it less affordable than it initially seems. Despite being a 55+ community, they require tenants to make three times the rent, which feels excessive for a community with no security, no gates, and no amenities. Additionally, most units don’t even have driveways, leaving limited options for parking.Overall, this park doesn’t offer much value for the cost and seems poorly managedUpdate: Thank you for your response, but I’d like to clarify a few points. While your office hours may be posted, it’s still inconvenient for potential residents when the office doesn’t open until the afternoon. I waited well past your posted opening time of 1 PM, I waited until 1:40 PM lefted and returned at 3:00 PM waited until 3:35 PM, still no body in the office to assist with applications and had to leave a voicemail before hearing back.I did speak with someone eventually once I returned home, but the delay and lack of accessibility left a poor impression, especially for a community charging $720 in lot rent without amenities or basic features like gated security or driveways for most units.I appreciate your well wishes, but the concern here isn’t about budget—it’s about the value and service provided for the cost. I hope my feedback helps improve communication and accessibility for others in the future.
Jan 22, 2025 · Joshua LuceroAfter almost 10 years of being here, I don't like it but I can't afford to move.People are rude and they ignore you! And they're thieves, half, a dozen times or more. I've had deliveries and they haven't been delivered to me. They've been delivered to another trailer. Another place, but do you think who lives in those other trailers has ever once brought me my stuff and you might be thinking oh well, she can get a refund. No, I've ended up having to pay that and the delivery fee. Shame on you guys just shame on you!!!!! And you all know that since California has bought this place, they've raised the lot rent every year and nothing.nothing Has changed since Dominic had it. The only thing I can say good about it is Jennifer. She seems to be the only manager that we've had. That seems to really care and she's trying to fix things and change things.I just hope california And the residents let her!!!!!!!(we will see) Okay i'm done ranting!!!!
Mar 04, 2025 · KAE K PATTERSONThis mobile repair company is great. They diagnosed the issue, ordered the parts and then installed the parts and cleaned up after themselves. They also honored the extended warranty that I have. I will use them again for repairs.
Mar 19, 2017 · Dave SmithDon't have an emergency and expect these guys to help. My motor coach awning went out on its own and was on the neighbors house. My wife was home alone as I am out of town working. She tried to get the awning to retract and it would not. She called our dealership who gave her the number to Desert Mobile to come help her. After leaving a message and they finally called back and the earliest appointment was next week. As she grew more and more upset and anxious over the situation the person on the line hung up on her after she was pleading with them to help or at least offer another company to help. Wow the worst customer service ever......
