Desert Skies Introduce
Located at 19802 N 32nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85050, USA, Desert Skies is a 55+ gated community offering a unique living environment for active adults. For local users exploring housing options, including those who might be searching within the "RV parks near me" category for potential long-term or temporary living arrangements, Desert Skies presents itself as a primarily manufactured home community with potential appeal to those seeking a secure, amenity-rich, and age-restricted environment. While not explicitly advertised as an RV park, its features and community atmosphere might be of interest to individuals considering a move from or alongside the RV lifestyle.
One positive review describes Desert Skies as a "quiet and peaceful community" that is also gated, providing an added sense of security for its residents. The reviewer highlighted several amenities, including a "clean" pool and hot tub where people were "very friendly" and enjoyed socializing. The presence of a "nice, clean, and air-conditioned" workout room is another significant feature catering to an active lifestyle. This resident also expressed feeling "very safe" within the community and noted that the homes and properties were generally well-maintained, with some potentially needing minor renovations. A notable financial benefit mentioned is that water is included in the lot rent.
Furthermore, this reviewer pointed out the availability of homes for sale within Desert Skies, indicating an active real estate market within the community. They mentioned a range of price points, including some "very cheap" options around $45,000 to $49,000, a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home priced at $97,000, and a brand-new, never-lived-in home listed at $180,000 with financing options available. The presence of multiple double-wide homes for sale suggests a variety of sizes and styles to choose from. This active sales market could be attractive to those looking to purchase a home within a 55+ community.
A unique feature mentioned is that the office allows residents to use the "Clubhouse" for free, providing a valuable space for social gatherings, events, and community activities without additional cost. To become a homeowner in Desert Skies, prospective buyers need to qualify for the park, which includes a background check and meeting an income requirement of approximately three times the lot rent (suggesting a single-wide lot rent around $800 per month based on the example provided). This income requirement ensures the financial stability of residents within the community.
However, a second review presents a starkly contrasting experience, expressing significant dissatisfaction with the management, specifically naming Carlos and Denise. The reviewer, a former resident who sold their home after 16 months, described the management as having "no regard for the residences of this park." They recounted issues with undue stress placed on both themselves and the new buyers during the sale of their home. A concerning detail is the alleged lack of returned phone calls from management, despite the reviewer logging these attempts. Conversely, the reviewer noted that management was quick to contact residents regarding issues like weeds or signs, highlighting an inconsistency in their communication priorities.
This negative review strongly advises individuals with parents over 55 to "highly consider another park" for their loved ones, based on the reviewer's negative personal experience and their concern for the current residents of Desert Skies. The reviewer, who stated they dislike negativity, felt compelled to share their firsthand observations of what they perceived as unkind treatment of the 55+ community by the management.
For local users exploring the "RV parks near me" category, Desert Skies, while primarily a manufactured home community, might offer some RV sites or allow RVs within certain circumstances. The gated nature of the community and the emphasis on a quiet and peaceful environment, along with the amenities like the pool, hot tub, and workout room, could be appealing to RVers seeking a more structured and secure setting than traditional RV parks. However, the serious concerns raised about the management's treatment of residents should be carefully considered by anyone contemplating a long-term stay, whether in a manufactured home or an RV.
Prospective residents or visitors should weigh the positive aspects of a gated community with amenities and available homes for sale against the significant negative feedback regarding management. It is crucial to conduct thorough due diligence by contacting the management directly at (888) 485-1076 or mobile phone +1 888-485-1076 to inquire about current policies, management practices, and to address the discrepancies between the positive and negative reviews. Visiting the location at 19802 N 32nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85050, USA, and, if possible, speaking with current residents could provide a more balanced understanding of the living experience at Desert Skies.
In conclusion, Desert Skies presents itself as a 55+ gated community in Phoenix, Arizona, offering a quiet and peaceful environment with amenities such as a pool, hot tub, and workout room. The availability of homes for sale at various price points, including some with financing options, could be attractive to those looking to settle in a senior community. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the management's treatment of residents, with allegations of poor communication and unkind behavior. For local users exploring "RV parks near me" or considering long-term residency, it is essential to carefully consider both the positive community aspects and the negative management feedback before making a decision about Desert Skies.

Desert Skies Reviews
Desert skies is quiet and peaceful community, it's also gated! . The pool was clean and hot tub and people were very friendly at the pool they like talking with each other.. The.workout room is nice ,clean and air conditioning.. I feel very safe here.. And the homes are kept up and the properties.. Some could use a little renovation but other than that it's pretty nice.. Oh yes the lot rent has water Included In it. From what i see there's a good amount in here for sale. Sale.!!!! some are financed and some are very cheap.I saw a couple for like 45/ $49.000.Also there's one that is 3 bed two bath $97.000 .And there is a brand new that has never been lived in ,the cost is $180000 with financing available and there's a number of double wides available come check it out you will like It here. There is one special thing about this place...The office allow's you to use the "Clubhouse" for free.! SoIf you're an owner here you just need to be able to qualify for the park. It's a 55plus community. They do. background checks and you have to make like 3 x income For the lot rent... So like if you make around $2400 a month? That should get you in the door.... For a single wide.. Hopefully.
Aug 14, 2023 · Teri PressnellFirst, I don't write bad reviews unless circumstances calls for it. The management, both Carlos & Denise, have no regard for the residences of this park. I sold my home in December, after such undue stress that was put on the new buyers and myself. I have logged all my phone calls to management, and not one return call. The other issue, if there is an issue with weeds, or signs, etc. they don't hesitate to call you. I don't get how you can treat the 55 and over community with such disgrace. I made my rent payments for 16 months, never late, corrected anything the disapproved of, tried to support management when negative talk was being spoken, and still, treated so unkind. If you have parents over 55, I would highly consider another park for your loved ones. My heart hurts for the residences of Desert Skies. As I said, I don't like negativity, but in this case, I witnessed it first hand. Carlos & Denise, you should be so ashamed of your actions!
