Dusty Oaks RV Park Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Seguin, Texas area, Dusty Oaks RV Park, located at 441 Tschoepe Rd, Seguin, TX 78155, USA, presents itself as a potentially secluded option. Based on the limited online reviews, the park offers a location "off the beaten path," which may appeal to those seeking a quieter and more rural setting. However, it's important to consider all aspects of the available feedback, which also raises some concerns regarding friendliness, cleanliness, and noise due to its proximity to railroad tracks.
One of the few positive aspects highlighted in the reviews is the park's location. Being "off the beaten path" suggests a more private and potentially less crowded environment compared to RV parks situated directly along major highways or within city limits. This could be appealing to RVers looking for a more rustic or tranquil experience, away from the noise and traffic associated with more central locations. The surrounding environment may offer a greater sense of connection with nature and a more relaxed pace.
However, this secluded location comes with a notable drawback: its proximity to railroad tracks. One reviewer specifically mentioned that the park is "next to railroad tracks in a location where the trains need to blow their whistles to warn folks." This is a significant consideration for potential guests, as frequent train whistles, especially during the night, can be disruptive to sleep and overall peace and quiet. While the reviewer noted that the trains "didn't really bother us," they also acknowledged that this might have been due to tiredness or eventual acclimatization to the noise. Individuals sensitive to noise should carefully consider this factor before choosing Dusty Oaks RV Park.
In contrast to the somewhat positive comment about the location, another review raises more serious concerns about the park's management and cleanliness. This reviewer stated that the park was "Not very friendly" and highlighted a significant issue with the presence of cats, noting that "cats run all over .you step in cat crap it's everywhere." This paints a concerning picture regarding the park's hygiene and the potential lack of control over animal populations within the premises. The presence of animal waste throughout the park could create an unpleasant and unsanitary environment for guests. Furthermore, the comment that it's "not a good place for small children" likely stems from these cleanliness issues and potentially safety concerns related to unsupervised animals.
Given these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to form a comprehensive picture of the environment at Dusty Oaks RV Park. While it may offer a degree of seclusion and a location away from busy areas, the potential downsides of noise from nearby railroad tracks and the reported issues with cleanliness and unfriendly management are significant factors that local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully weigh.
Information regarding the specific services and features offered at Dusty Oaks RV Park is extremely limited based on the provided reviews. Typically, RV parks offer essential amenities such as water hookups, electrical hookups (with varying amperage options), and sewer hookups at each site. Given that these are not mentioned, potential guests should verify their availability directly with the park management. It is also common for RV parks to provide restroom and shower facilities, laundry rooms, and trash disposal. However, the negative review concerning cleanliness raises doubts about the standard and upkeep of any such communal facilities at Dusty Oaks RV Park.
Features that might enhance an RV park experience, such as recreational areas, Wi-Fi access, or pet-friendly policies (beyond the apparent presence of roaming cats), are not mentioned in the reviews. The lack of positive feedback regarding amenities suggests that Dusty Oaks RV Park might offer only the very basic necessities for RV parking, and even those might be compromised by the cleanliness issues reported.
In terms of promotional information, there is none explicitly provided in the reviews. The limited and somewhat negative feedback does not offer any compelling reasons for local users to choose Dusty Oaks RV Park over other options in the "RV parks near me" category. The fact that one reviewer did not give it a full five stars solely due to the train noise, while the other had much more serious complaints, indicates a mixed and potentially problematic experience for visitors.
In conclusion, Dusty Oaks RV Park near Seguin, Texas, offers a location that is "off the beaten path," which might appeal to those seeking a secluded camping experience. However, potential local users searching for "RV parks near me" must carefully consider the significant drawbacks highlighted in the customer reviews. The reported lack of friendliness from management, the presence of cats and their waste throughout the park, and the proximity to railroad tracks with potentially disruptive train whistles are serious concerns that should not be overlooked. While one reviewer seemed to tolerate the train noise, the cleanliness issues and the unwelcoming atmosphere reported by another are significant red flags, especially for families with small children. Due to the limited and concerning nature of the available information, it is strongly recommended that local users contact Dusty Oaks RV Park directly at (830) 372-0203 or +1 830-372-0203 to inquire about the current management, pet policies, cleanliness standards, and the frequency and intensity of train noise before making any decisions. It would also be prudent to seek more recent reviews from other sources to gain a more comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the park's conditions and guest experience.

Dec 09, 2024 · Monica BooneNice place off the beaten path. Didn't get 5 stars because it's next to railroad tracks in a location where the trains need to blow their whistles to warn folks. But the trains didn't really bother us, I guess we were tired enough or we got used to the whistles.
Nov 20, 2019 · Rick QuintanaThis is only our second rv trip, and we stayed only one night. We choose it because it was the first place of a dozen calls to rv facilities that had an opening. What was good; Price on par with other camps we have stayed in. Easy to find and to get back on 10. Very rural with barn cats, chickens and roaster to wake you up. There was electricity and sewage hook up. No complaint about water temperature for shower. The Staff were very pleasant helpful. Not so good; shower/bathroom facility in disrepair, flakes from ceiling, walls ripped up, bugs on window seal. The sink and shower were clean. Curtain not so clean and there appeared to be black mold around the shower. No laundry facility and no internet. The park is right next to active railway track and street crossing. Trains ran though the night and early morning and train whistles made for a poor night sleep and scared our pet.
Feb 04, 2017 · Cindy PetersonIm not even going to rate this place its run down tarps on half the trailers also the management plays favouritism makes her own rules up as she goes carol shroth is her name she also discriminates against mental health patients and allows 3 time felons and thieves to live there. Meth head's and pill heads as well my wife and i met a few great people in there but not for anyone they are planning on leaving as well. Not a place for good people wanting a good time. I guess i had to rate it cause it wouldnt let me post if i didnt. Also if you want everyone in your buisness go ahead if you want privacy dont even bother.
Nov 22, 2017 · Joshua ValdezThis place is awful. They charge what parks with pools and laundry rooms charge. You never see the owner, he doesn't take care of the place. It's overrun with feral cats and abandoned campers.
