Evergreen RV Park Introduce
Searching for "RV parks near me" in the Oxnard area? Evergreen RV Park, located at 2135 N Oxnard Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93036, USA, presents itself as a potentially convenient option for RV travelers. You can reach them by phone at (805) 485-1936 or +1 805-485-1936 for inquiries. Based on the available customer reviews, the park offers a mix of positive attributes and some areas where potential guests should exercise caution.
On the positive side, one reviewer describes Evergreen RV Park as "really nice" and highlights its easy accessibility to and from the freeway. This could be a significant advantage for those who are passing through the area or planning to explore the wider region with ease of transportation. The same reviewer also praises the cleanliness of the park, specifically mentioning that the park itself, restrooms, and laundry room are all well-maintained. For travelers who prioritize hygiene and clean facilities, this is a notable benefit.
Furthermore, Evergreen RV Park offers a "nice little dog park" which is also reported to be very clean. This amenity is a significant plus for RVers who travel with their canine companions, providing a dedicated and sanitary space for their pets to exercise and socialize. The reviewer also commends the management, specifically thanking Susan and expressing their intention to return, along with a positive acknowledgment from their dog, Tilly. This suggests that at least some guests have experienced excellent customer service and a welcoming atmosphere.
However, it is crucial to consider the negative feedback present in other reviews. One reviewer stated that their "communication and customer service was horrible" and explicitly advised others to read comments before booking, implying that their negative experience was not isolated. This raises a red flag regarding the consistency and quality of customer interactions at Evergreen RV Park.
The most concerning review details a significant issue regarding the park's policy on the age of RVs. According to this account, Evergreen RV Park has a policy that may not accept RVs older than 15 years, or even 10 years depending on where the information is found on their website, unless specifically approved by management. The reviewer experienced a frustrating situation where, despite sending pictures of their "very clean and in good condition" older RV and seemingly receiving verbal approval from the manager over the phone, they were ultimately denied their reservation upon arrival due to the RV's age.
This experience highlights several critical points for potential guests. Firstly, the discrepancy in the stated age limit (15 years versus 10 years) indicates a lack of clarity or consistency in the park's policy. Secondly, the alleged denial of a prior phone conversation by the manager raises serious concerns about communication and reliability. Despite having a confirmed and paid reservation, the reviewer was turned away and told they would be reimbursed, leaving them in a difficult situation upon arrival. This incident suggests a potential for inflexible enforcement of the RV age policy, even for well-maintained units, and a lack of transparency or consistent communication regarding this policy.
The reviewer's statement that they have traveled to "many, many campgrounds" with their older RV and have never been refused elsewhere provides context, suggesting that Evergreen RV Park's policy might be stricter than many other campgrounds. The reviewer also notes that the park does not appear to be particularly luxurious, making the strict enforcement of an age policy seem somewhat incongruous. This experience could be a significant deterrent for RV owners with older, yet functional and well-kept, vehicles.
In conclusion, Evergreen RV Park in Oxnard offers the advantages of easy freeway access, clean facilities (including restrooms, laundry, and a dog park), and the potential for positive interactions with management, as highlighted by one reviewer. However, potential guests must be aware of significant concerns regarding communication and a potentially strict and inconsistently applied policy regarding the age of RVs. It is strongly recommended that anyone considering a stay at Evergreen RV Park, especially those with RVs older than 10-15 years, directly contact the management to clarify their current RV age policy and obtain written confirmation of acceptance before making a booking. Additionally, it would be prudent to be prepared for potential communication challenges based on the negative feedback received. While the park may offer a convenient location and clean amenities, the inconsistent communication and strict RV age policy could lead to significant issues for some travelers.

Apr 18, 2025 · Mary YoungCommunication and customer service was horrible. If I had read the other comments before, I wouldn’t have booked. We actually couldn’t even stay there. We booked a little more than 3 weeks in advance. There was a notice that RVs older than 15 years (or 10, depending where you look on the website), were not accepted unless approved by management. We sent pictures of ours (which is very clean and in good condition). No answer to my email, I called a few days later. The manager said the RV was fine, but she had no availability. I looked online a little later and found an available spot, so I guessed they had a cancellation, so I went ahead and booked (and paid). When I arrived, the manager first told me she had no reservation for today. Then she looked and found out. She asked for the year of the RV, and said they wouldn’t welcome us because it’s older than 10 years. She denied speaking to me over the phone. She told me she would reimburse me and that they would not honour the reservation. It was her word against mine, what can I say !For the record, we have been in many, many campgrounds with our RV and have never been refused anywhere. This place is nothing luxurious and yet they can afford to turn around customers like this, so I’m guessing we are not that welcome 🤷🏻♀️
Dec 18, 2024 · Myriam MorinA horrible experience. I put in an application about 2 weeks ago. Never heard back. Stopped by the office at 2 pm a couple days later during office hours. No "I'll be back sign on the door." Called and office manager was at lunch. She said she would call back after 3 as she had questions about my application. Crickets. Called next day. No returned call. Called on Friday ... Susan said she had the paperwork, and the email I sent answering some of the questions she might have had. She said she was busy and would call me back shortly. Crickets. Called again on Monday and left a message with the answering service. Crickets. I gave up. I would not do business with this outfit if the rent was free. They need to find a new office manager as her customer service was beyond pathetic.
Dec 12, 2024 · Rich SpragueDO NOT, I repeat do not stay here! We had a prepaid reservation made 6 weeks in advance. We arrived 20 minutes before check in, and the office was locked. We had hoped to check in a little early, because we had an appointment in Santa Paula at 1:30. Apparently, they closed for a 4 day weekend for Thanksgiving. There was an emergency phone number on the window, so I called that number. She told me my check in time was at 12:00 (she thought?), and to call her back at the time (20 minutes?). She said she would email me the map with my site number. Well, we went to find the site, and someone was clearly there in a trailer, and not going anywhere. Slides were out, and they were fully hooked up, with no car in site. I started calling back at 11:55 an no answer. I continued to call until 12:15 and she wouldn't pick up. Clearly she was ghosting me. I was starting to panic, because we had the appointment. I called the Ventura Ranch KOA, and they were able to get us in! Horrible customer service! If only she was honest with me from the beginning, telling me there was a mistake and no room for me. Instead she ignored me and refused to call me back.
