Fish Pond RV Park Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Ragley, Louisiana area, Fish Pond RV Park, located at 15672 US-171, Ragley, LA 70657, presents itself as a welcoming option with a strong sense of community and unique features. Based on recent customer reviews, this park offers a blend of positive attributes, including a helpful owner and a clean environment, alongside some location-specific considerations that potential guests should be aware of.
One of the most consistently praised aspects of Fish Pond RV Park is its owner, Daniel. Guests describe him as an "amazing man," "very kind and helpful," and "one of nicest guys you meet." This personal touch in management can significantly enhance the overall experience of staying at an RV park, fostering a more welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Knowing that the owner is approachable and willing to assist can provide peace of mind for both short-term and long-term visitors.
A notable and somewhat unique feature of Fish Pond RV Park is its "best soft water system." Soft water can be a significant comfort, providing benefits for showering, laundry, and overall water quality within your RV. This amenity sets Fish Pond RV Park apart and adds to the comfort of a longer stay.
The presence of "nice fishing ponds" is another significant draw, particularly for families or individuals who enjoy fishing. One reviewer specifically mentioned taking kids to the ponds to catch fish, highlighting this as a family-friendly amenity. Having on-site recreational activities like fishing ponds can greatly enhance the stay, providing entertainment and relaxation without needing to leave the park.
The cleanliness of the campground is also positively mentioned, with one guest describing it as a "very clean campground." Maintaining a clean environment is crucial for the comfort and health of all visitors, and this positive feedback suggests that Fish Pond RV Park prioritizes this aspect of its operation.
However, the location of your RV spot within the park appears to influence the overall experience. According to one long-term guest, "the front spots are larger for more parking." This could be a significant advantage for those with larger rigs or those who travel with extra vehicles or equipment. However, this same reviewer cautions that "if you park near the Dollar General, expect lots of noise." This suggests that the proximity to a nearby business might lead to increased traffic and noise levels in the front section of the park.
Conversely, the reviewer notes that "the back RV spots stay wet," indicating a potential issue with drainage or ground conditions in that area of the park. While this might be a drawback in terms of ground conditions, the same reviewer also points out that the back area is "very quiet." This presents a trade-off: potential wetness versus a more peaceful environment. Guests who prioritize quiet might find the back spots appealing despite the ground conditions, while those needing more parking space and not as sensitive to noise might prefer the front.
Despite these location-specific considerations, there is a strong sense of community within Fish Pond RV Park. The long-term guest mentioned that "everyone seems to look out for each other," fostering a secure and friendly environment. This sense of community can be particularly valuable for those staying for extended periods, creating a more home-like atmosphere.
The positive experiences shared by long-term guests, who express their desire to stay "as long as our jobs permits," suggest that Fish Pond RV Park provides a comfortable and suitable environment for extended stays. The combination of a helpful owner, clean facilities, and a sense of community contributes to a positive living experience for those who choose to stay for several months.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Ragley, Fish Pond RV Park offers a compelling option with its friendly owner, clean environment, soft water system, and fishing ponds. However, potential guests should consider their preferences regarding noise levels and ground conditions when choosing a site. If you value a quiet environment and don't mind potentially wetter ground, the back spots might be preferable. If you need more parking and are willing to tolerate potential noise from the nearby Dollar General, the front spots might be more suitable.

Fish Pond RV Park Reviews
We have been here for several months, we love it. The owner is a amazing man, very kind and helpful. And has the best soft water system. The front spots are larger for more parking. But if you park near the Dollar General, expect lots of noise. The back RV spots stay wet. But it very quiet. Everyone seems to look out for each other. Look forward to staying as long as our jobs permits.
