Flavel RV and Mobile Home Park, LP Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in the Portland, Oregon area, you might come across Flavel RV and Mobile Home Park, LP, located at 8410 SE Flavel St, Portland, OR 97266, USA. They can be contacted at (503) 771-0492 or via mobile phone at +1 503-771-0492. As a platform focused on "RV parks near me" that provides information on various options, it's important to offer a detailed and objective introduction to Flavel RV and Mobile Home Park, LP based on available information, including customer feedback.
Flavel RV and Mobile Home Park, LP appears to cater to both RVs and mobile homes, suggesting it might offer options for both short-term and long-term stays. When considering an RV park, potential residents typically look for factors such as the environment, available services and amenities, unique features, and any ongoing promotions. To provide an objective overview, we must rely on the information available, which in this case includes a limited number of customer reviews.
One of the provided customer reviews raises significant concerns regarding the park's practices. The reviewer alleges a "scam" involving application fees for rentals. According to this review, the park charges an application fee for a credit check but purportedly does not conduct the check, instead retaining the fee. The reviewer suggests that the high number of vacant spots at the park might be attributed to this practice, implying that the park may be generating more income from these application fees than from actual rent. This is a serious accusation that potential residents should be aware of and consider carefully.
Furthermore, the same reviewer describes the physical appearance of the park negatively, referring to it as a "garage dump" that "looks like a 3rd country" and feels "very dangerous." Such strong negative descriptions regarding the environment and safety are critical pieces of feedback for anyone considering staying at or living in this park. These comments suggest potential issues with the upkeep of the property, the overall atmosphere, and possibly security within the park.
In contrast, the second provided review offers a brief and positive sentiment, stating, "Glad everyone here has a safe place to call home." This single positive comment stands in stark contrast to the detailed negative review, making it difficult to form a balanced perspective based solely on these two pieces of feedback. The brevity of the positive comment lacks specific details about the park's environment, services, or features that might help potential residents understand the positive aspects of staying there.
Given the limited and conflicting nature of the available reviews, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive and fully objective introduction to Flavel RV and Mobile Home Park, LP. However, it is crucial to highlight the serious allegations made in the negative review regarding potentially deceptive application fee practices and concerns about the park's physical condition and safety. These are significant red flags that prospective residents searching for "RV parks near me" should not ignore.
When evaluating RV parks, especially for longer stays, it is essential to consider several factors. These typically include the availability and quality of hookups (water, electricity, sewer), the condition of roads and sites, the cleanliness of restrooms and showers (if applicable), laundry facilities, Wi-Fi access, recreational amenities (such as playgrounds, swimming pools, or common areas), and the overall management and community environment. The negative review for Flavel RV and Mobile Home Park, LP raises doubts about several of these aspects, particularly the upkeep and safety of the environment, as well as the ethical practices of the management.
For those specifically looking for "RV parks near me" for short-term camping or travel purposes, the negative description of the park's appearance and safety could be a significant deterrent. Travelers often prioritize well-maintained and secure locations for their temporary stays. The alleged application fee scam, while perhaps more directly relevant to long-term residents, could also indicate a lack of professionalism or trustworthiness in the park's management, which might concern even short-term visitors.
Individuals searching for long-term RV or mobile home living options in Portland would also need to carefully consider the issues raised in the negative review. The potential financial risk associated with the application fee, coupled with concerns about the living environment and safety, suggests that further investigation and potentially seeking alternative options would be prudent.
It is important to note that online reviews can be subjective and may not always represent the full picture. However, a detailed negative review alleging unethical practices and poor conditions, especially when contrasted with a brief and general positive comment, warrants serious attention. Potential residents should attempt to gather more information from various sources if they are still considering Flavel RV and Mobile Home Park, LP.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding, prospective residents might consider driving by the location to assess its physical appearance from the outside (while ensuring personal safety). If possible and if they feel comfortable doing so, they could also try to speak with current residents to get their firsthand experiences of living in the park. Additionally, directly contacting the management to inquire about their policies, fees, and address the concerns raised in the reviews would be a necessary step in due diligence.
However, based solely on the provided information, particularly the detailed negative review highlighting a potential scam, poor environment, and safety concerns, Flavel RV and Mobile Home Park, LP appears to be a location that warrants significant caution. Those searching for "RV parks near me" in Portland, OR, should be aware of this feedback and consider it carefully in their decision-making process. Exploring other RV parks and mobile home communities in the area with more positive and detailed reviews might lead to a more satisfactory and secure living experience.
In conclusion, while Flavel RV and Mobile Home Park, LP is located in Portland, OR, and may appear in searches for "RV parks near me," the available customer feedback includes serious allegations regarding potentially fraudulent application fee practices and significant concerns about the park's environment and safety. Prospective residents should exercise extreme caution, conduct thorough further investigation, and strongly consider alternative RV park options in the Portland area before making any decisions regarding this property.

Flavel RV and Mobile Home Park, LP Reviews
Be careful with this place, they have a scam going. They will charge you a application fee ( credit check ) to rent there but never do the credit check and just keep your money. There is always a lot open for this reason, they are making more money from the fake application fee then they are making off rent. Don't waste your money and time trying to rent from this garage dump. The place looks like a 3rd country and seems very dangerous.

Feb 26, 2025 · joan rutherfordSucks ! Not even worthy of one star. Stinks like sewage. Rent gos up sheds falling apart and they will not fix . Had to connect to neighbors electricity because ours stopped working. People are intrusive. You have to pay for each vehicle you have extra even if it's in your own spot. Can't wait to move.
Mar 29, 2022 · Patti Lee ChristensenThey charge quite a lot, for it to look as it does and not have any amenities. They are unfriendly towards visiting cars (owners/mgr).
