Ford Chapel Rv Park Introduce
For those in the Lufkin, Texas area or traveling through and searching for "RV parks near me," Ford Chapel RV Park, located at 4220 Farm-To-Market 841, offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly management and a range of amenities. You can reach them at (936) 632-7096 or their mobile number +1 936-632-7096 to inquire about site availability and make reservations.
Based on the feedback from recent visitors, Ford Chapel RV Park stands out for its positive management and community feel. One long-term guest, who stayed for almost a year while attending college, expressed their satisfaction, stating, "Really nice people, and management is very friendly here, we have been staying here for almost a year now while I was attending college. I'm so glad we chose this RV park." This highlights the welcoming environment and the potential for a comfortable long-term stay.
The same long-term resident also praised the park's amenities, noting that "Wifi strength is great," which is crucial for staying connected, whether for work, study, or leisure. They also mentioned that the "Laundry is always working 💪," indicating reliable and functional laundry facilities for guests. Furthermore, Ford Chapel RV Park offers "free showers," a significant perk that can enhance the comfort and convenience of your stay, especially for those looking to conserve water in their RV or prefer more spacious showering facilities.
Beyond the essential utilities, Ford Chapel RV Park boasts "great amenities as well such as a fire pit that is often started by the management open for anyone to join." This fosters a sense of community and provides opportunities for socializing with other guests in a relaxed setting. The management's initiative in starting the fire pit suggests a proactive approach to creating a welcoming and engaging environment for everyone staying at the park.
Another significant positive aspect highlighted in the reviews is the park's pet policy. The long-term resident specifically mentioned, "They even let me stay with an American bully fenced in because they make individual judgments rather than banning all big dogs from the RV park, unlike some other RV parks who refuse services for choice of pet." This demonstrates a flexible and understanding approach to pet owners, which is a major consideration for many RV travelers. The willingness to assess pets individually rather than implementing blanket bans on certain breeds or sizes showcases a thoughtful and inclusive policy.
In contrast to the overwhelmingly positive experience of the long-term resident, another visitor who stayed for a couple of nights offered a more mixed review. They described Ford Chapel RV Park as a "nice quiet place to take a break for a couple of days with FHU (Full Hook-Up)." This confirms the availability of essential services for a comfortable short-term stopover. The reviewer also noted that it is "Mostly long term campers," which could contribute to the quiet atmosphere but might also indicate a less transient feel compared to parks primarily catering to short-term stays.
This short-term visitor also mentioned the presence of "a laundry area with shower room," corroborating the long-term resident's feedback on these amenities. They also described the manager as "Nice," further reinforcing the positive comments about the management's friendliness.
However, the short-term visitor gave the park an overall rating of 3 stars, citing the layout of the sites as the primary reason for the lower score. They described the spots as "more like a parking lot very close together and no picnic table or sitting area." This suggests that while the park offers essential hook-ups and a quiet environment, the physical layout of the sites might lack spaciousness and individual outdoor amenities that some RVers prefer, especially for longer stays or for enjoying outdoor meals and relaxation at their site.
Despite this drawback, the short-term visitor concluded that it was a "nice quick stop," indicating that for those needing a functional and quiet place for a night or two with full hook-ups, Ford Chapel RV Park is a viable option. The proximity of the sites might be less of a concern for very short stays where the focus is primarily on resting and utilizing the park's broader amenities like the laundry and showers.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Lufkin, Ford Chapel RV Park presents a compelling option, particularly for those who value friendly management, essential amenities like reliable Wi-Fi, a working laundry, and free showers, and a pet-friendly policy that considers individual circumstances. The fire pit adds a social dimension to the park, and the quiet atmosphere can be a significant draw for those seeking a peaceful stay.
However, potential guests should be aware that the RV sites might be close together and lack individual picnic tables or dedicated sitting areas. This might be a more significant consideration for those planning longer stays or those who prioritize outdoor space at their site. For short overnight stops or for those who intend to utilize the park's communal amenities more than their individual site, this might be less of an issue.
In conclusion, Ford Chapel RV Park in Lufkin, TX, offers a welcoming and amenity-rich environment with particularly friendly management and a flexible pet policy. Its reliable Wi-Fi, functional laundry, free showers, and communal fire pit are significant advantages. While the RV sites are noted to be close together and lacking individual outdoor amenities, the park provides a quiet and convenient option for both short-term and potentially long-term stays. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should consider Ford Chapel RV Park for its friendly atmosphere and valuable amenities, keeping in mind the site layout based on their individual needs and preferences. Contacting them directly at (936) 632-7096 or +1 936-632-7096 is recommended to inquire about site availability and any specific concerns.

Dec 20, 2024 · William LawesThis is a nice quiet place to take a break for a couple of days with FHU. Mostly long term campers. Has a laundry area with shower room. Nice manager. The only reason I gave it a 3 is, the spots are more like a parking lot very close together and no picnic table or sitting area. But nice quick stop we stayed 2 nights.
Oct 31, 2020 · Carla DickeyGreat place to stay, the manager (Tim) is awesome, super helpful, he helped setup the camper. everyone is very friendly, stays clean, has brand new washers and dryers plus has a bathroom and shower that is usable by anyone. Also my son like Tim’s motorcycle.
Feb 27, 2021 · joey maynardThis RV Park got a new makeover and new management not long ago and hasn't been the same since! Way more slots and space for your RV. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. It's very close to town, but sits on several acres of land tucked away from all the noise. Definitely would recommend for long term stay or a quick visit stopping through!
Mar 31, 2018 · Olivia MontgomeryI have stayed here while my house got remodeled and the park is clean, friendly, and quiet. The staff is great. Tim keeps the park up looking great. I went through a few different parks before I got to this one, and this one is the best.
