Inverness Mobile Home Park Introduce
Are you searching for "mobile home parks near me" in the Lufkin, Texas area, particularly if you are over 55? Inverness Mobile Home Park, located at 3300 Lotus Ln, Lufkin, TX 75904, presents itself as a 55+ community. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed overview of the park, drawing exclusively from the provided resident reviews to offer an objective perspective on its environment, services, and features.
Inverness Mobile Home Park can be contacted via phone at (936) 899-5249 or mobile phone at +1 936-899-5249. The available resident feedback offers insights into the living experience at this park, highlighting both positive aspects and areas of concern for potential residents.
One resident, who has lived at Inverness for nearly three years, describes it as a "Great place to live if your over 55." They specifically praise the park as "Nice, quiet and well maintained" and note its "Super location." This long-term resident's positive experience suggests that Inverness Mobile Home Park can be a desirable community for seniors seeking a peaceful and well-kept living environment in a convenient location.
Another resident, who has lived at Inverness for eleven months, provides a more nuanced perspective. Initially, they express that "For the most part I really like living here" and mention that "People are friendly." This aligns with the previous review in suggesting a positive community atmosphere. However, this resident also raises several important issues. A few months after moving in, new owners took over, and the rent increased by $40 without new signed leases, leaving residents feeling "at their mercy" regarding future rent adjustments. The park operates on a system where "We all have to maintain our own lawns," which, while not an issue for this resident, is noted as an added expense for those who cannot manage it themselves. A significant concern raised is the lack of an on-site manager and the persistent issue of unfixed street lights on their side of the park, with the management consistently providing "always an excuse" for the lack of repair. It is worth noting that in an added comment, this resident later mentioned that the street light outside their home was finally fixed, indicating some responsiveness to maintenance issues, albeit delayed.
A particularly distressing experience shared by this resident involves an incident with a neighbor's pit bull, which resulted in the death of their small dog. This incident led to a request for the pit bull to be muzzled when outside, which was reportedly followed inconsistently. The resident expresses ongoing fear due to the presence of this dog, especially when their grandchildren visit, and mentions that there are supposedly no "guard dogs" allowed in the park, yet there are two pit bulls present. This raises potential concerns about pet policies and their enforcement within the community.
Despite these significant concerns, this resident also acknowledges positive aspects of the park, including the "newly paved roads" and how "clean the property is." These points corroborate the "well maintained" comment from the other reviewer regarding the overall upkeep of the park's infrastructure and grounds. The resident also points out that "Most of the tenants are on fixed incomes and can not afford any more rent increases," highlighting the potential financial vulnerability of the community to rent hikes.
Based on these reviews, Inverness Mobile Home Park presents a mixed profile for those searching for "mobile home parks near me," particularly within the 55+ age group in Lufkin, TX. Potential benefits include a generally quiet and clean environment, newly paved roads, and a convenient location. However, potential drawbacks include the absence of an on-site manager, potential for rent increases under new ownership without formal lease agreements, the responsibility of individual lawn maintenance, and concerns regarding the enforcement of pet policies, specifically concerning potentially aggressive dog breeds.
Given the information available, promotional information for Inverness Mobile Home Park should objectively highlight its strengths while acknowledging the potential concerns raised by residents:
- A Peaceful 55+ Community: Emphasizing the quiet and age-restricted environment for seniors seeking tranquility.
- Well-Maintained Grounds and Infrastructure: Highlighting the cleanliness of the property and the recent paving of roads.
- Super Location in Lufkin: Pointing out the convenience of the park's location for accessing local amenities and services.
- Friendly Neighbors: Based on resident comments about a positive community atmosphere.
However, it is also crucial for potential residents to be aware of the potential drawbacks mentioned in the reviews:
- No On-Site Manager: Potential delays or complexities in addressing immediate issues.
- Potential for Rent Increases: Under new ownership without long-term lease security.
- Individual Lawn Maintenance: An added responsibility and potential expense for residents.
- Concerns Regarding Pet Policy Enforcement: Specifically related to the presence and behavior of certain dog breeds.
For local users searching for "mobile home parks near me" in Lufkin, TX, especially those over 55, Inverness Mobile Home Park warrants consideration due to its quiet nature, cleanliness, and convenient location. However, it is essential to weigh these positives against the potential negatives raised by residents, such as the lack of an on-site manager, the possibility of rent increases, the need for individual lawn care, and concerns about pet policy enforcement. Prospective residents should inquire directly with the management about these issues to ascertain the current policies and procedures in place.
In conclusion, Inverness Mobile Home Park offers a 55+ living environment in Lufkin, TX, with residents noting its quiet atmosphere, cleanliness, and good location. While these are significant advantages for many seniors, potential residents should also be aware of the reported lack of an on-site manager, the possibility of rent instability, the requirement for personal lawn maintenance, and concerns regarding pet policies. A thorough inquiry with the park management is advisable for anyone considering making Inverness their home.

Inverness Mobile Home Park Reviews
Great place to live if your over 55. Nice, quiet and well maintained park. Super location. Been here almost 3 years and have not regretted our move.
Jun 16, 2022 · Ray and SandraI have been here now for 11 months. For the most part I really like living here. People are friendly. A few months after moving here new owners and rent went up $40 and no new signed leases which means at their mercy. We all have to maintain our own lawns, which I don't mind but there is a lot that can not and it is another added expense for them. We have no on site manager and for some reason they will not fix the street lights on our side. Always an excuse. I used to have a very small dog but one night I was taking out the trash after dark and she got out. Next thing I knew she tore off after a dog coming down the road. That dog is a pit bull and he severed my dogs spinal cord and I had to put her to sleep. I still miss her. Nothing I could do since my dog was not on her leash and went after him. I asked that a muzzle be put on that dog when out and that was fine for awhile but now they do it if feel like it but mostly not. I watch my grandkids every other weekend and we were walking and he came out with the dog. It looked at us and barked. Pits are my biggest fear and I am sad I have to be afraid because of this dog. There is not supposed to be guard dogs and there are 2 pits in the park. I have not seen other one but can hear him when walk by their house. Aside from that I like the newly paved roads and how clean the property is. Most of the tenants are on fixed incomes and can not afford any more rent increases. We are pretty high up there already. Thank you.Added: They finally fixed the street light outside my home. It is nice and bright and I feel more secure. Thanks

Feb 27, 2023 · Marilyn SagerSince Flinston properties took over they raised our rent twice in less than a year, their reasoning they have improvements they planned on doing, and the amenities. No improvements have been made, and there are no amenities. They have ignored request to fix our street safety light for over a year, and it is still not fixed. There are tree limbs that are dead but no maintenance has been performed. There is no on site manager. I have emailed the appropriate person about the street light and I never received an answer. So if you want to pay high rent in a park that does nothing, move here!
Sep 11, 2022 · Peggy IveyGreat staff and management running the place. Clean yards and maintenance going on. They also have several projects in the works to add on and grow the place, including a dog park in picnic area. They also have a community building where they have free breakfasts and dinners throughout the month, as well as events, movie Nights, and things like that. One of the managers, Larry, is a real friendly guy and happy to help out the folks living there
