Forest Park Tenants Co-Op Introduce
For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' who might be interested in a long-term residential option within a unique community structure, Forest Park Tenants Co-Op, located at 62 Scenic Dr, Jaffrey, NH 03452, USA, offers a tenant-owned mobile home park in southern New Hampshire. They can be contacted at (603) 532-1143 or +1 603-532-1143 for inquiries. Unlike traditional mobile home parks with external ownership, a co-op model means the community is owned and managed by the residents themselves, which can lead to a different dynamic and set of priorities. The online reviews provide a glimpse into the living experience at Forest Park Tenants Co-Op, highlighting both its positive aspects and some potential areas of concern.
One reviewer describes the community as having a generally positive atmosphere, noting that "everyone else is pretty nice" and that it's a "good neighborhood." This suggests a friendly and welcoming environment among the majority of the residents, which is a significant draw for anyone looking to establish a sense of community. However, this positive sentiment is tempered by a specific observation regarding the management structure. The reviewer mentions that there are "a couple control trip passive aggressive elderly women in charge," implying that the tenant-led management might have some internal dynamics that could be perceived negatively by some residents. The reviewer also expresses a desire for community amenities, suggesting it "would be nice to see a playground for the kids or something other than nonsense power trip rules to hold a false sense of importance from some of these outdated main board members." This indicates a potential disconnect between some residents' desires for community development and the priorities or management style of certain individuals within the co-op's leadership.
Another reviewer, who visits the park frequently as one of their parents lives there, offers a perspective as both a visitor and someone with close ties to a resident. They describe the park as "always fairly quiet," noting that typical neighborhood sounds like passing cars and occasional neighborly activities are present but remain at a "background noise" level, "never very loud." This reinforces the idea of a peaceful living environment. As a visitor, the reviewer perceives the park as "managed pretty well," although they mention that "its roads can get tough in the winter" and advise getting snow tires. This suggests that while the overall management might be effective, infrastructure challenges related to seasonal weather could exist. They also report being told that "the rent is reasonable" and that for a "decent tenant," the lease is "fair and easy to follow." This provides positive insights into the financial and contractual aspects of living in the co-op. However, they also mention hearing that "utilities can get pricy" and advise prospective residents to "shop around if that's an option," indicating that utility costs might be a significant factor to consider.
Overall, the reviews suggest that Forest Park Tenants Co-Op offers a relatively quiet and friendly neighborhood. The tenant-owned structure appears to result in reasonable rent and a fair lease for responsible tenants. However, potential residents should be aware of the possibility of internal management dynamics that some residents might find challenging, as well as potential issues with winter road conditions and potentially high utility costs. The lack of certain community amenities, like a playground, might also be a consideration for families with children.
For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' who might be intrigued by the idea of a tenant-owned community offering long-term residency, Forest Park Tenants Co-Op presents a unique model. The co-op structure means that residents have a direct say in the management and operation of the community, which can be a significant advantage for those who value control and participation in their living environment. However, as highlighted in the reviews, this structure can also lead to internal complexities and differing opinions among resident-owners.
The quiet environment and friendly general atmosphere reported by both reviewers are significant positives. A peaceful neighborhood contributes to a higher quality of life, and a welcoming community can foster a strong sense of belonging. These aspects, combined with the reasonable rent and fair lease mentioned, could make Forest Park Tenants Co-Op an attractive option for those seeking a stable and community-oriented living situation.
However, prospective residents should carefully consider the potential downsides. The concerns about the management style of some board members, the winter road conditions, and the potentially high utility costs are important factors to weigh. If community amenities like playgrounds are a priority, the current lack thereof might also be a drawback for some.
For individuals exploring 'RV parks near me' with an open mind towards different types of long-term residential communities, a tenant-owned co-op like Forest Park could offer a unique blend of affordability, community involvement, and a say in how the park is run. However, it's crucial to be prepared for the potential for internal governance issues that can arise in such structures.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Forest Park Tenants Co-Op, interested local users should contact the park management directly using the provided phone numbers. Inquiring about the specifics of the co-op structure, the current lot fees and any associated costs, the process of becoming a member, the rules and regulations of the community, the management structure and decision-making processes, the utility costs, the winter road maintenance procedures, and any future plans for community development or amenities would be essential steps. A visit to the park would also allow potential residents to experience the quiet environment firsthand and, if possible, speak with current residents to get a broader range of perspectives on living in the co-op.
In conclusion, Forest Park Tenants Co-Op in Jaffrey, NH, offers a tenant-owned mobile home community with a generally quiet and friendly atmosphere. The rent is reported to be reasonable, and the lease fair. However, prospective residents should be aware of potential internal management dynamics, possible winter road challenges, and potentially high utility costs. The co-op model offers a unique opportunity for resident involvement but also comes with its own set of considerations. For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' who are open to a different kind of long-term community, Forest Park Tenants Co-Op is worth investigating further, with a thorough understanding of its co-operative nature and the experiences shared by current and former residents.

Aug 15, 2022 · snave ekajOne of my parents lives here so I visit often. It is always fairly quiet. You'll hear cars driving by and occasionally neighbors if they're having a barbeque or when windows are open but it's more like background noise, never very loud. As a visitor it looks like this park is managed pretty well though its roads can get tough in the winter (just get snow tires). I have been told that the rent is reasonable and if you're a decent tenant the lease is fair and easy to follow. I've also heard that utilities can get pricy but that's a heads up to shop around if that's an option. Definitely worth looking into if you're looking for a warm, friendly mobile home park.
Sep 13, 2017 · Jenni DemontGreat community. Affordable living. Lots of infrastructure improvements in the past few years. New water/sewer and paving. Has really turned around in a great way.
