Forestview Senior 55 Community Introduce
Forestview Senior 55 Community is a mobile home park located at 778 Elma McCleary Rd # 1, McCleary, WA 98557, USA. They can be contacted at (360) 495-4900 or +1 360-495-4900. For those searching for 'RV parks near me' that cater to seniors in the McCleary, WA area, Forestview presents itself as a 55+ community with a reported 66 units. While one review highlights its convenient location, another raises serious concerns about the management.
One reviewer describes Forestview Senior 55 Community as "Quiet, except for the occasional train," indicating a generally peaceful environment with the noted exception of periodic train noise, which is common in many areas. This reviewer also points out the community's "Good location," elaborating on its proximity to essential amenities in McCleary. These include "grocery stores, fuel stations, banks, churches, restaurants, police, fire stations, clinics, and hospitals," all within a short drive. The accessibility to these services is a significant advantage for residents, ensuring convenience for daily needs and emergencies. Furthermore, the community is noted to be "Not far from the highway (SR8)," providing ease of access for travel. Its location also offers a balance between proximity to local amenities and regional attractions, being "Only an hour from the ocean (west) or 30 minutes (east) to Olympia." This strategic location allows residents to enjoy both coastal excursions and the resources of the state capital.
However, a second, much more extensive review presents a starkly contrasting perspective, focusing entirely on negative experiences with the management. This reviewer recounts an incident where the management allegedly "called the cops on us, saying we were trespassing when we were at my moms house helping her." The reviewer states that the police clarified that they were family and not trespassing, a fact they claim the manager already knew. This incident suggests a confrontational and potentially unreasonable approach from the management towards residents and their visitors.
The review further details an interaction regarding a water leak at the reviewer's mother's home within the community. According to the account, the individual who came to address the leak was "mad right off the bat" and began blaming the reviewer's mother before assessing the situation. When the leak was explained, this person, identified as the manager, allegedly became "so angry saying it’s not his problem we need to fix it and was cussing at us." The reviewer states that this interaction was audio-recorded and played for the police, who reportedly informed the manager that he was in the wrong and that the family had done nothing wrong. The sheriff allegedly advised the family to contact the owners about the management's behavior, indicating that this was "not the first time dealing with the management here."
Following the sheriff's intervention, the reviewer claims that "all the sudden management decided they were sorry and they would fix it." Despite this apparent resolution, the reviewer expresses profound shock and disapproval of the manager's unprofessional conduct, particularly in a senior community. They state, "Just very unprofessional and shocking he is management of a senior community or any community. I’ve never encountered anything like this before. Especially for a manager." The reviewer strongly advises against living at Forestview under such management, expressing disbelief that anyone would tolerate such treatment. They voice sympathy for their parents living in the community and feeling "bullied" by the management, including the act of calling the police unnecessarily. The reviewer concludes by describing the manager's people skills as "the worst I’ve ever dealt with," portraying him as acting immaturely and resenting having to do his job. The overall tone of this review is one of extreme disappointment and concern for the well-being of the residents due to the alleged behavior of the management.
Considering these two reviews, Forestview Senior 55 Community appears to be a community with a geographically advantageous location, offering peace and quiet (aside from train noise) and proximity to essential services in McCleary, as well as convenient access to regional attractions like the Pacific Ocean and Olympia. These are significant positive environmental and locational features that could appeal to seniors looking for convenience and accessibility.
However, the serious allegations made in the second review regarding the management cannot be ignored. The reported incidents of calling the police on family members assisting a resident and the unprofessional and hostile behavior exhibited during a maintenance issue raise significant concerns about the treatment of residents and the overall living environment. If these allegations are accurate and representative of the management's general approach, it could severely detract from the positive aspects of the community's location.
For those searching for 'senior RV parks near me' or 55+ communities in the McCleary area, Forestview Senior 55 Community presents a mixed picture. The location offers undeniable benefits in terms of quiet surroundings and access to amenities. However, the extremely negative review detailing unprofessional and confrontational management behavior is a serious red flag. Potential residents or their families should carefully consider these allegations and attempt to gather further information or perspectives on the management before making any decisions. It would be prudent to inquire directly with current residents, if possible, or seek additional reviews from other sources to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the community's atmosphere and management practices.
Given the stark contrast between the positive description of the location and the severe criticism of the management, it is impossible to offer any positive promotional information about Forestview Senior 55 Community without acknowledging the significant concerns raised. The convenience of the location is a definite feature, but the potential for negative interactions with management could outweigh this benefit for many prospective residents. Therefore, anyone considering Forestview should proceed with caution, conduct thorough due diligence, and prioritize understanding the current management situation before making a commitment.

Oct 13, 2023 · Joe GusseManagement was the worst, they called the cops on us, saying we were trespassing when we were at my moms house helping her. The cops let the manager know that we are not trespassing we are family which they already knew. The man that came down to check the water leak was mad right off the bat. Started blaming things on my mom before he even came down to see what happened. Then when we explained it was leaking he was so angry saying it’s not his problem we need to fix it and was cussing at us. We recorded it all on audio and played it for the cops. That is when the cops let the man/manager know he was in the wrong and that we didn’t do anything wrong. The sheriff told us to get ahold of the owners and let them know about the management here and let them know what happened here, he also let us know this is not the first time dealing with the management here. After the sheriff talked to management then all the sudden management decided they were sorry and they would fix it. Just very unprofessional and shocking he is management of a senior community or any community. I’ve never encountered anything like this before. Especially for a manager. Just completely shocked he is management and I would never ever recommend anyone living here with management that treats people like that when they are paying to live here. Management like that I’m surprised anyone would live here. I feel bad for my parents having to live here and deal with management treating and bullying them like that calling the cops on them when they don’t want to do their job. I’m shocked there are no words for what I witnessed from the manager here today. Sad to see this is how they run this place. The worst people skills I’ve ever dealt with and he is a grown man in is 60’s acting like a child and obviously him having to do his job is a huge problem for him. Just unbelievable! Feel bad for the residence who have to deal with that jerk! And that’s putting it nicely
Sep 09, 2023 · SunCalled them to try and get some basic info about the community as am looking for somewhere to live. They were very rude and unwilling to answer pretty basic questions. Have called many 55+ parks and none have treated me this way. Maybe somebody was having a bad day, but still not an excuse.
Aug 26, 2024 · N SmithSun W review, please refrain from reviews if you cannot tell the entire truth and stories, the manager is Dawn and her husband is maintenance, he was not the only one being belligerent, as all parties were involved and the initial problem was caused by people turning on a water valve that was not attached to your home and was not leaking UNTIL YOU TURNED IT ON! The officer involved was incorrect when saying he had been out there many times for ridiculous matters, he may have responded to previous management. The officer arrested no one because both parties were acting immature except the actual manager and I believe she apologized and the issue was squashed. You continue to carry this matter on and it’s false. Please refrain from bad reviews unless you have an actual truth, your parents have been apologized to and are fine with management.
Oct 02, 2023 · Forest ViewN Smith , please refrain from placing false reviews, you were asking for information that is not available to be given out, also our water source is closely monitored by the heath department and not your concern.
