Great Escapes RV Resorts North Texas Introduce
Are you looking for premier "RV parks near me" in the North Texas region? Consider Great Escapes RV Resorts North Texas, located at 2730 FM 2210, Perrin, TX 76486, USA. You can reach them at (940) 798-4615 or their mobile number +1 940-798-4615. This resort appears to offer a range of facilities and services, catering to both individual travelers and larger groups seeking a memorable experience in the Texas countryside.
Based on the available customer reviews, Great Escapes RV Resorts North Texas has served as a venue for significant events, such as marriage retreats. One review highlights a successful 2nd Marriage Retreat held at the resort, with 23 couples in attendance. The feedback indicates that the attendees "all loved the facilities and the special touch in our rooms." This suggests that the resort may offer not only RV sites but also potentially cabin or lodging options suitable for group accommodations. The reviewer specifically thanked the resort for "making this weekend amazing," pointing towards a positive and well-organized experience for large gatherings.
Another recurring guest, who has visited Great Escapes multiple times over the past two years, shares a more nuanced perspective. They mention having had "the best Halloween experience last year," indicating that the resort previously offered engaging seasonal activities. This suggests that Great Escapes RV Resorts may focus on creating a fun and festive atmosphere during certain times of the year, potentially making it an attractive destination for families and those seeking themed events.
However, the same reviewer expressed disappointment with the Halloween activities during their most recent visit. Specifically, they found the haunted house "disappointing compared to last year (especially for $10 that took 2 minutes to go through)" and the kids' activity also underwhelming. This suggests a potential inconsistency in the quality or execution of planned events. Additionally, they mentioned spending "hours decorating our camp site for the judges to not even walk through," indicating a possible lapse in the organization or judging of campsite decoration contests, if such an activity was offered. The reviewer also noted that "The activities didn’t compare to previous stays at all," implying a potential decline in the overall program of events during their recent visit.
Despite these criticisms regarding specific activities, the reviewer did acknowledge some positive aspects of their stay. They mentioned having a "great time trick or treating" and that "everyone decorating was super fun!" This suggests that the community spirit among the guests remains strong, and that some aspects of the holiday celebrations were still enjoyable. Furthermore, they specifically praised "Liz at the front desk" as "always the sweetest and so helpful!" This positive feedback about a staff member reinforces the idea that the resort employs friendly and accommodating personnel, which can significantly enhance the guest experience.
The reviewer also brought up a concern regarding their RV site, stating that "Our spot was also so tight we could barely have our slide out and had no room on the other side either." This suggests that while the facility may be great overall, the size and layout of individual RV sites might vary, and some could be less spacious than others. It's advisable for potential guests to inquire about site dimensions and preferences when making reservations, especially if they have larger RVs or require more space for slide-outs and outdoor setup.
The fact that this guest has been returning to Great Escapes for the past two years, multiple times a year, despite their recent disappointments, indicates that the resort likely offers other compelling features or a generally positive experience that keeps visitors coming back. This could include the overall environment, other amenities not explicitly mentioned in these reviews, or a sense of community that long-term guests appreciate.
Based on the information provided, Great Escapes RV Resorts North Texas appears to be a facility capable of hosting large group events and potentially offering a range of activities and amenities for RV travelers. The positive feedback regarding the facilities for retreats and the helpfulness of the front desk staff are notable strengths. However, potential guests should be aware that the quality and execution of specific planned activities might vary, and that RV site sizes could differ. It would be prudent to inquire about site dimensions and the current schedule of activities when booking a stay.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of the environment, services, and features of Great Escapes RV Resorts North Texas, prospective visitors should consider contacting them directly using the provided phone numbers. Inquiring about specific amenities such as laundry facilities, restroom and shower quality, Wi-Fi availability, recreational areas (e.g., pools, playgrounds), and any other services relevant to their needs is recommended. Additionally, asking about the different types of RV sites available and their dimensions would be beneficial in ensuring a comfortable fit for your RV.
As no specific promotional information was included in the reviews, it would be worthwhile to ask the resort staff about any current specials, discounts for longer stays, or seasonal promotions that might be available. Checking their website or social media pages, if they have any, could also provide insights into ongoing offers or upcoming events.
In conclusion, Great Escapes RV Resorts North Texas presents itself as a potentially excellent option for those seeking "RV parks near me" in the Perrin, TX area. Its ability to accommodate large groups and the positive remarks about certain aspects of the facilities and staff suggest a welcoming environment. However, it's important for potential guests to be aware of the mixed feedback regarding the consistency of planned activities and the potential variability in RV site sizes. Direct communication with the resort is recommended to obtain detailed information and ensure it meets your specific needs and expectations for a great escape.

Great Escapes RV Resorts North Texas Reviews
This is a great facility, perfect for our needs. We held our 2nd Marriage Retreat at GE. We had 23 couples attend our retreat and they all loved the facilities and the special touch in our rooms. Thank you for making this weekend amazing
Mar 04, 2025 · Loretta GreggWe have been coming to a Great Escapes for the last two years multiple times a year. We had the best Halloween experience last year! This year, the haunted house was disappointing compared to last year (especially for $10 that took 2 minutes to go through) and the kids one was also disappointing. We spent hours decorating our camp site for the judges to not even walk through. The activities didn’t compare to previous stays at all. Miss Judy is VERY missed here. We did have a great time trick or treating and everyone decorating was super fun! Liz at the front desk is always the sweetest and so helpful! Our spot was also so tight we could barely have our slide out and had no room on the other side either. We have always loved coming to this park.
Oct 13, 2024 · Kaylea PryorWe have been coming here for the last 5 years and it’s always a great time! The water part is perfect size for my kids. And the location is nice since it’s out in the country at night you can see a lot of stars!
Nov 22, 2024 · Raul DebenedictisWe went on our last trip weekend after labor day. Water service was out for some of Saturday and nearly all day Sunday. No showers Saturday night. The facility is on well water, which explains our very first trip there with no water pressure. We paid extra to get the site we wanted and they had to change because of electrical issues. No big deal. The water though. No bathrooms or showers. The two employees were nice as they could be and had to deal with mad people and the problems going on.The lights at the golf course hadn't worked in our last three trips, the pools were dirty and the events were not as advertised. Smores on Saturday! Our kids paid 5 bucks each and got a big marshmallow, a fun size Hershey and 1 full graham cracker in a sandwich bag. No making them, no songs. I mean, come on.To the lady and man taking care of us when the park management wasn't, Kudos! You tried and did all you could do.I even sent an email to their website address. Not even the courtesy of a reply. We have told many people about this place. Now we have to retract it all.The water is the kicker.( Untreated )well water??? For your customers to drink without knowing? No backup plumbing for toilets or showers? Unsanitary is the point. No one cared except the man trying to control damage.
Oct 23, 2024 · David KellyWe loved the location and all the amenities ! We checked in after office hours the room was nice and big . When we inspected the sheets there were hairs and grass burs under one of the comforters . My husband went to get an extra blanket from the cabinet and discovered a toenail clipping on itLuckily we had extra sheets in our car . The toaster oven still had fat remnants from previous use and the grill was rusted on the bottom and my husband was worried embers would come out and start a fire. Overall it was a good experience but room cleanliness was our biggest issue !
