This place is comfortable. When i lived hear in 2010, i moved in right after i had my baby and i was 18. I had severe complications like respiratory failure, heart failure, life support and i almost lost my baby. I couldn't be left alone after being on life support in the hospital for a week, let alone live alone by myself with my newborn baby and all of my new life altering diagnoses that are going to potentially be the cause of my death and at a very young age. My boyfriend who is my childs biological father was very much in the picture and also was my caregiver due to my decline in health. He was my assigned caregiver; my Cardiology Team & Pulmonology Team, my entire care team had written all the paperwork up stating this and because we knew the rules of the apartment complex my mom was appointed by my care team to be my caregiver when my boyfriend had to leave. So basically they would switch off, in that case we followed all rules. But then the manager gave me a warning that if i didn't stop having them over to help me i would be evicted. I had no choice though an i showed her the paperwork and she said that didn't excuse it, if i wanted to stay and no eviction then my boyfriend and me would need to get married and that's what we did. When our marriage license came we took that to her with all other paperwork explaining my situation. Within 2 weeks i was being evicted.Never late on rent or any bills. But i still got kicked out. I was told by many people to call legal aid people but my heart was so bad and the stress was so insane that i let it go. I regret that decision. But besides that apartment itself is nice - Nichole Mathis

Greenbriar Village Mobile Home Park Introduce

For local users in the Gladwin, Michigan area searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a mobile home park for long-term residency, Greenbriar Village Mobile Home Park, located at 1305 N Spring St, Gladwin, MI 48624, USA, requires careful scrutiny based on the deeply concerning experiences shared by former residents and employees. They can be contacted at (989) 709-5120 or +1 989-709-5120 for inquiries, but prospective residents should be aware of the serious allegations raised in online reviews.

One particularly distressing review recounts a former resident's experience in 2010. This individual, a new mother facing severe health complications including respiratory failure and heart failure, moved into Greenbriar Village shortly after a life-threatening hospital stay. Due to her fragile health and the need for constant care, her boyfriend (the child's father) was her primary caregiver, a fact documented by her entire medical team. To comply with the apartment complex's rules, the resident's mother was designated as an alternate caregiver for times when the boyfriend was unavailable. Despite adhering to these arrangements and providing all necessary medical documentation, the manager allegedly threatened eviction if the caregivers continued to provide essential support. The only way to avoid eviction, according to the manager, was for the resident and her boyfriend to marry, which they did.

Despite complying with this demand and presenting their marriage license along with the medical paperwork, the resident states that she was evicted within two weeks. She emphasizes that she was never late on rent or any other bills. The immense stress caused by this situation, coupled with her severe health issues, prevented her from pursuing legal aid at the time, a decision she now regrets. While acknowledging that the "apartment itself is nice," this positive aspect is overshadowed by the alleged inhumane treatment and unjust eviction.

A second review, from a former employee who worked at Greenbriar Village six years prior and was rehired in January of the current year, paints an equally disturbing picture of the park's management and ethical practices. The former employee alleges that during their initial employment, their materials were stolen and refused to be returned. Upon being rehired, they claim to have rebuilt five homes from top to bottom, emphasizing the "High quality work" which they admit "takes too long."

The core of this review details alarming allegations regarding the management's approach to property maintenance and resident safety. The former employee states that the management wanted to "cover mold with paint and leave homes unsafe for renters." This is a severe accusation, as mold can pose significant health risks to residents, and attempting to conceal it rather than remediate it demonstrates a blatant disregard for tenant well-being. This alleged practice would create potentially hazardous living conditions within the park.

Following these concerns about safety and quality, the former employee reports being "laid off" on the very day they inquired about their job security for the winter. This layoff occurred after they had made significant life changes, including acquiring a vehicle with payments to commute an hour to the job, and after allegedly receiving assurances from the management that their employment was secure for the winter, leading them to forgo seeking other work. The sudden reversal of this promise left the employee in a precarious financial situation, facing car payments, rent, and supporting two children on a single income.

Furthermore, the former employee corroborates the negative perception of the management's treatment of renters, stating that "Rent goes up every few months on homes that are tare downs." This suggests a pattern of increasing costs for residents despite potentially deteriorating living conditions, aligning with the earlier review's implication of prioritizing profit over tenant well-being. The reviewer concludes with a strong warning to "stay away from this park or any they own," asserting that "They don't respect the renters or the workers" and that "Greed over people is their modow (motto)."

Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," the information gleaned from these reviews does not indicate whether Greenbriar Village Mobile Home Park accommodates RVs. Mobile home parks primarily focus on long-term or permanent residency in manufactured homes. Given the serious allegations of unethical management practices and unsafe living conditions, individuals seeking RV parking options in the Gladwin area would be strongly advised to consider alternative locations.

Regarding the environment of Greenbriar Village Mobile Home Park, the first reviewer mentions that the "apartment itself is nice," but this is a very limited perspective from a specific unit over a decade ago and is heavily overshadowed by the negative management interactions. The second review suggests a potentially deteriorating environment with mold issues being covered up rather than properly addressed. This raises significant concerns about the overall living conditions and the management's commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for residents.

Information about services and features at Greenbriar Village is sparse and primarily negative. The alleged lack of proper maintenance, the potential presence of mold, and the reported disrespect towards residents and employees do not paint a picture of a well-serviced or feature-rich community. Prospective residents would need to independently verify what services are offered and the quality of their provision, but the existing reviews strongly suggest potential issues.

No promotional information is provided in the reviews. Given the serious nature of the allegations, it is unlikely that any promotional efforts would outweigh the significant concerns raised by former residents and employees regarding the management's ethical practices and the safety of the living conditions.

In conclusion, the available reviews for Greenbriar Village Mobile Home Park in Gladwin, Michigan, paint a deeply troubling picture. The allegations of unjust eviction, unethical treatment of residents and employees, and the reported practice of covering up mold in potentially unsafe living conditions are extremely serious. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" or considering long-term residency in a mobile home park, Greenbriar Village warrants extreme caution. The experiences shared by former residents and employees suggest a pattern of disregard for well-being and ethical conduct. Prospective residents are strongly advised to thoroughly investigate these allegations and consider alternative housing options in the Gladwin area to ensure their safety and fair treatment.
