Greenbriar Village Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Bath, Pennsylvania area, Greenbriar Village, located at 63A Greenbriar Dr N, Bath, PA 18014, is a mobile home park that requires careful consideration based on recent customer reviews. They can be contacted at (888) 489-1601 or +1 888-489-1601 for inquiries. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Greenbriar Village based on the available feedback, highlighting potential concerns for prospective residents.
The customer reviews for Greenbriar Village present serious allegations regarding the park's management and business practices. One detailed review describes a significant rent increase for a two-bedroom trailer after a year of on-time payments. The rent reportedly skyrocketed to $2000 per month, excluding utilities. The reviewer alleges that this drastic increase was an attempt to force them to purchase a property located next to a steel foundry. They further claim that despite their fiancé's father being terminally ill with cancer, the management showed no remorse, forced them to leave, and withheld their security deposit. The reviewer characterizes these actions as a "bait-and-switch" tactic, alleging that the management lures renters with an initial price only to inflate the rent upon lease renewal to pressure them into buying. Additionally, they mention an alleged attempt to pressure them into buying a shed, which the management would purportedly keep if the residents were forced to leave later. The reviewer concludes by labeling the management as "Scam Artist!" and warns against purchasing a home there, deeming it "financial suicide."
Another review echoes concerns about potentially unfair practices, specifically regarding the application process. This reviewer states they "would never bother applying here" and labels the application as a "scam." They describe applying and waiting over a week for an update, only to be informed that the application was still "under review" after the property had already been sold. The application fee was reportedly non-refundable. The reviewer mentions being told that the process usually takes 15-30 minutes by phone, indicating a significant discrepancy with their actual experience of being given "the run around." This customer intends to contact the Better Business Bureau due to this unacceptable experience.
Considering these two highly negative reviews, potential residents searching for "RV parks near me" who are considering Greenbriar Village should be extremely cautious. The allegations include predatory rent increases, pressure to buy potentially undesirable properties, the withholding of security deposits under distressing circumstances, and questionable application practices involving non-refundable fees and prolonged processing times.
It is important to note that these reviews represent individual experiences and perspectives. However, the seriousness of the allegations, particularly the claim of deceptive practices aimed at forcing residents to buy, warrants thorough investigation and careful consideration by anyone contemplating residency at Greenbriar Village.
Prospective residents should be aware that the term "RV parks near me" might lead them to consider various types of communities, including those primarily focused on long-term mobile home living. While Greenbriar Village is listed as a mobile home park, individuals who might initially be seeking short-term RV accommodations could encounter this listing. The experiences shared in the reviews strongly suggest that Greenbriar Village operates primarily as a long-term residential community with potential financial risks for renters.
Given the gravity of the accusations, it is imperative for anyone considering living at Greenbriar Village to conduct extensive due diligence. This should include attempting to speak with current residents to gain a broader understanding of the community's environment and management practices. Asking the management detailed questions about rent increase policies, the process for purchasing homes, security deposit procedures, and the application process is also crucial. Any verbal assurances should be carefully documented.
Due to the negative nature of the available feedback, it is difficult to objectively describe the positive aspects of the environment, services, or features of Greenbriar Village based solely on these reviews. The focus of the feedback is overwhelmingly on alleged negative business practices. Therefore, potential residents will need to rely on direct inquiry and personal observation to assess the physical environment of the park, any amenities offered, and the overall atmosphere.
Promotional information is absent from the provided data. In light of the serious allegations in the reviews, any promotional material should be viewed with skepticism and carefully scrutinized against the reported experiences of former applicants and residents.
The location in Bath, Pennsylvania, might offer certain local amenities and a specific environment within Northampton County. However, the negative reviews heavily outweigh any potential benefits of the location itself, as the primary concerns revolve around the management and financial practices within the park.
In conclusion, the available customer reviews for Greenbriar Village in Bath, PA, raise significant red flags for potential residents. Allegations of substantial and potentially predatory rent increases, pressure to buy property under unfavorable circumstances, questionable handling of security deposits, and problematic application processes with non-refundable fees should be taken very seriously. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" who come across Greenbriar Village should proceed with extreme caution, conduct thorough independent investigation, and carefully weigh the potential risks before considering an application or residency. Contacting consumer protection agencies or the Better Business Bureau for further information might also be advisable.

Greenbriar Village Reviews
These people hiked our up rent for a 2 bedroom trailer after living there for a year a never missing a payment . They sky rocketed it up to 2000 dollars a month before utilities , trying to force us to buy a structure right next to a steel foundry . My fiancés father was dying from cancer these people had no remorse forced us to leave and took our security deposit . They’ll bait you into renting then hike your rent up a year later upon a new lease to try to force you to buy. They also tried to con us into buying a shed so when they kick us out in a year they get to keep it . Purchasing that home would have been financial suicide. Scam Artist!
Jan 21, 2024 · Jacob HeimoWould never bother applying here the application is a scam…..applied and waited over a week for them to tell me it was still (under review) and by that point the house was sold and my application feee was non refundable…I was told the process usually takes 15-30 minutes by the lady on the phone just to get the run around. I will be contacting the better business bureau. This is not acceptable
Oct 08, 2023 · Rusty ShacklefordIt’s exactly what you’d expect from a trailer park….. also they advertise that they have a gym that they don’t have. I got charged $25 to my account for speeding through the neighborhood, not by a cop, not even by a person in real time, but I received a letter saying someone saw a car that looked like mine and it was speeding. Considering 99% of the community is over 100 years old I’d love to see that eye witness. I also wonder if that resident was carrying a speed gun 😂
Mar 21, 2022 · Andrew SerensitsI have been a resident for @ 2 yrs. I really am 100% satisfied living here. We have added a large porch and that makes the single wide better for my lab and I. I'm happy the Village allowed me to build it. Evon is organized and on top of her game. Along with the maintenance staff the park is well maintained. Roads were repaired trees trimmed snow removed in a timely fashon. Thanks to all whom work to keep it such a nice place to live.
Nov 16, 2018 · Dan SuttonLook elsewhere , homes are cheap because the were put in the park in 1986, no equity in your home. If you decide o buy get yourself a whole home inspection top to bottom. No vapor barrier under homes except the new homes that are being set up, forget about the guide line for living in here no one to inforce them. Look elsewhere . Base lot rent is 783.00 per month, goes nup every year, no amenities.
