Hale's Mobile Home Park Introduce
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" with the possibility of long-term mobile home living in Independence, Missouri, it's important to note that Hale's Mobile Home Park, located at 1621 N Liberty St, Independence, MO 64050, is now under new ownership and has been rebranded as Truman Estates. This mobile home park is reportedly undergoing significant changes and improvements under the new management. However, recent reviews present a mixed picture, highlighting both positive developments and concerning issues that prospective residents should carefully consider.
One long-term observer with a friend residing in the park notes its established presence in Independence for approximately 50 years. This longevity suggests a stable community, although the reviewer also describes it as a "small area" where "the trailers are stacked on top of one another" and the "lots are small." This spatial arrangement might be a crucial factor for those who prioritize larger yards or more open space in their residential environment.
A more detailed review from a resident who has witnessed the transition to Truman Estates provides a timeline of changes. Initially, the new ownership was praised for "cleaning up the trailer park" and making it "start to look better again" by "fixing up staff and so forth." There were also promising announcements about future amenities, including a playground for children. The new ownership was initially credited with having employees with "good attitude's so far." Furthermore, the reviewer noted efforts to remove "some of the bad trailers" and undertake essential infrastructure work such as "tree work and plumbing work underground." The anticipated addition of a playground was also seen as a significant positive development, indicating a potential focus on creating a more family-friendly environment.
However, the same reviewer later posted a critical update, expressing significant concerns about the direction of the new management. This update claims that the "new owners are not taking care of the people very good" and are allegedly "kicking the people out of their homes." Such accusations, if accurate, raise serious questions about the stability and security of residency at Truman Estates. The reviewer further states that the property is not being kept clean, with complaints about unmowed grass ("the grass meowed"). Concerns were also raised about the maintenance personnel, who are described as not performing their duties and instead "give the people who live a hard time."
Disturbingly, the updated review alleges mistreatment of handicapped residents, claiming that the new owners are "giving them a hard time and are trying to get them to move out of their homes." These are serious allegations that potential residents should be aware of and seek clarification on. Additionally, the reviewer reports issues with consistent trash pickup ("problems with having trash pickup every week to?"), which can significantly impact the quality of life within a community. The core issue appears to be a lack of communication and responsiveness from the new owners, who are accused of not listening to the residents and simply "giving them a hard time."
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, Truman Estates (formerly Hale's Mobile Home Park) is currently a community undergoing significant transformation with both potential and considerable challenges. The initial phase of new ownership seemed promising, with efforts to improve the park's appearance and infrastructure, along with plans for new amenities like a playground. This might appeal to those looking for a community with ongoing development and a potentially brighter future.
However, the subsequent and more critical update raises serious red flags regarding the treatment of residents, the upkeep of the property, and the reliability of essential services like trash pickup. The allegations of unfair eviction practices and mistreatment of vulnerable residents are particularly concerning and should prompt potential residents to exercise extreme caution and seek thorough clarification and assurances before considering Truman Estates as their home.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" with an eye towards mobile home living, Truman Estates does mention looking for people to "move in their to rent trailers," although the possibility of purchasing homes is uncertain according to the review. This suggests that rental options might be available, providing a way to experience the community firsthand before making a long-term commitment. However, given the reported issues, a short-term rental might be advisable initially to assess the current living conditions and management practices.
Due to the conflicting and concerning nature of the recent feedback, it is strongly recommended that anyone considering Truman Estates contact the management directly for detailed information on current rental or purchase options, park rules and regulations, maintenance schedules, trash pickup procedures, and any plans for future improvements or changes in management policies. Visiting the property in person to observe the current conditions and, if possible, speaking with current residents directly (beyond the reviews available online) would provide invaluable insights into the day-to-day living experience at Truman Estates. Potential residents should also inquire specifically about the allegations raised in the negative review to understand the management's perspective and any steps being taken to address these concerns.
In conclusion, Truman Estates (formerly Hale's Mobile Home Park) in Independence, Missouri, presents a complex picture. While there were initial signs of positive change under new ownership, recent feedback indicates significant issues related to resident treatment, property maintenance, and essential services. For those seeking "RV parks near me" with potential mobile home opportunities, Truman Estates warrants careful investigation and a cautious approach. Thorough due diligence, including direct communication with management and a site visit, is crucial to make an informed decision about whether this community aligns with individual housing needs and expectations.

Hale's Mobile Home Park Reviews
They are no longer Hale's Mobile Home. They are now Truman Estate's. They have been cleaning up the trailer park. They are now working progress right now. And it's starting to look better again and fixing up staff and so forth. They will in near future have a playground for kids to. I can't wait to see what it will look like in a year's time. The new ownership has employees with good attitude's so far. Update on this trailer park they are looking for people to move in their to rent trailers and I'm not sure about buying them to. Anyways they have gotten rid of some of the bad trailers and do tree work and plumbing work underground. They will be putting in soon a playground too. It has improved a lot since they took over. Update new owners are not taking care of the people very good they are kicking the people out of their homes their. They don't keep the place clean like the grass meowed. The person that's supposed to do maintenance their doesn't do nothing their but give the people who live a hard time their. People who are handicapped they give them a hard time and are trying to get them to move out of their homes. They also have problems with having trash pickup every week to? The new owners don't listen to the people that live there. They just give them a hard time.
