If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Kansas City, Missouri area, La Casita Mobile Home and RV Park, located at 3210 Crystal Ave, Kansas City, MO 64129, USA, is one option to consider. You can reach them by phone at (816) 921-2600 or via their mobile number +1 816-921-2600. It's important to note that La Casita operates as both a mobile home park and an RV park, catering to both long-term residential needs and potentially shorter-term RV stays.
When evaluating potential RV parks or mobile home communities, feedback from current and past residents can offer valuable insights. Public reviews for La Casita Mobile Home and RV Park present a mixed perspective, highlighting both positive and negative aspects of the living experience. It's crucial to consider these viewpoints to form a comprehensive understanding.
One recent review expresses significant concern regarding a change in trash disposal services. According to the resident, curbside trash pickup was replaced with three large dumpsters located as far as four blocks away for some residents. This change was reportedly implemented due to safety concerns raised by the trash company. The reviewer voiced worries about the inconvenience and potential safety hazards this poses to residents, particularly the elderly, who may have difficulty walking long distances to dispose of their trash, especially during adverse weather conditions. The review also mentions a perceived lack of concern from a maintenance staff member regarding these issues.
Furthermore, this resident reports personally experiencing a flat tire from driving near the new dumpster area, and indicates that several neighbors have shared similar frustrations. This suggests a potential environmental or logistical issue associated with the new trash disposal system that may impact residents' vehicles and overall convenience. The reviewer expresses surprise that no formal petition has been initiated and that the trash company has not been held accountable for the perceived neglect of community safety, advocating for a more reliable trash service.
In contrast, another piece of feedback offers a more positive, albeit limited, perspective. This reviewer mentions having friends who live at La Casita and describes them as "great." However, this review also touches upon the topic of lot rent, expressing a lack of complete understanding but suggesting a feeling that it is "a little lame" to pay a recurring monthly fee for lot hookups even when owning the trailer outright. The reviewer draws a parallel to paying off a trailer, suggesting a desire for a more finite payment structure for the lot. Despite this concern about lot rent, the reviewer concludes by stating that the park is a "nice place as far as I know."
Based on this limited information, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the environment, services, and features of La Casita Mobile Home and RV Park. The reviews offer glimpses into specific aspects, but lack detail regarding overall park amenities, community features, rules and regulations, and the general upkeep of the property. Potential residents will need to seek further information to gain a complete picture.
Considering the category "RV parks near me," prospective RVers looking for short-term or potentially longer-term stays at La Casita should inquire specifically about the availability of RV sites, the amenities offered to RV guests (such as hookups for water, electricity, and sewer), restroom and shower facilities, laundry services, and any recreational areas. It would also be prudent to ask about the trash disposal situation and how it might affect RV guests.
For individuals considering La Casita as a mobile home park for long-term residential living, it is essential to gather detailed information about lot rental fees, lease agreements, community rules, maintenance responsibilities, and any available amenities for residents. The recent concerns raised about trash service and the perspective on lot rent should be part of this inquiry to understand the potential implications for long-term residents.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided text. Therefore, interested parties should directly contact La Casita Mobile Home and RV Park using the provided phone numbers to inquire about any current specials, availability, and pricing for both RV sites and mobile home lots.
In conclusion, La Casita Mobile Home and RV Park in Kansas City, MO, serves as both a residential mobile home community and potentially an RV park. While one review highlights positive experiences of friends living there, it also raises a concern about lot rent structure. Another review expresses significant dissatisfaction with a recent change in trash disposal services, citing inconvenience, potential safety hazards, and vehicle damage. Prospective residents, whether for short-term RV stays or long-term mobile home living, are strongly advised to contact the management directly to obtain comprehensive information about the park's environment, services, features, and any current promotions. It is particularly important to inquire about the trash disposal procedures and the costs and terms associated with lot rental to make an informed decision.

La Casita Mobile Home and RV Park Reviews
Recently, our curbside trash service was replaced with three large dumpsters, as far as four blocks away for residents; following concerns from the trash company regarding the safety of their drivers. When I inquired about losing our curbside service and expressed concern for the safety of our community. I was told by a maintenance guy, 'If you don't like it, you can move out.'While I have generally enjoyed living in this community, this change raises serious concerns about the well-being of the tenants. The safety and convenience of residents, particularly the elderly, should be a top priority. Expecting individuals to walk long distances in potentially hazardous conditions, especially during winter months, poses unnecessary risks of injury.Additionally, I have personally experienced a flat tire from driving near the new dumpster area, and several of my neighbors have voiced similar frustrations. It’s surprising that no formal petition has been initiated, or that the trash company has not been held accountable for neglecting the safety of the community. A more reliable trash service that can meet the needs of the residents should be hired to restore the dependable service we previously had for decades.
Oct 01, 2024 · Justice BernalMy friends live here and they are great. You know I do and don't understand lot rent but it's a little lame you can straight on your trailer and still have to pay every single month for some hookups on a lot. Just like paying for a trailer I think it should be a finite thing to where you can pay it off. Anyway it's a nice place as far as I know
Jan 18, 2025 · heather hopperI would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking into buying or renting to own their home (Mobile Home or Tiny Home) It is a peaceful low key environment pet friendly Erica the Property Manager will do her best to get you in.
Sep 29, 2024 · Tyreishia BrucePretty bad experience. We were pitched leasing to own to have ownership which we thought was a great idea, and she said the unit we’d be in would be cleaned, (it was nasty when we first saw it.) and it would be a few simple fixes, the leak under the sink and painting the walls and replacing floors if wanted. It didn’t look crazy. We then went on to pay over $275 completely replacing the sink and pipes underneath, patching holes in the roof, the master tub and faucet was broken and had tons of water damage underneath so we paid to take it out, replaced the subfloor in the master it had water damage as well, the Air didn’t work with multiple layers of issues in the HVAC, the stove outlet caught on fire, the main bathroom sconces don’t work and the plumbing under the tub is very messed up in multiple ways, we replaced a broken window pane, the electric doesn’t work in one of the rooms and has an exposed wall, there is issues and a weird smell from the water heater(very yikes.) essentially. Not a few fixes. We ran out of money trying to make it work. Just for Erica to sell it to someone else without telling us and we received nothing, even though I’d been showing it and trying to sell it since we moved out. We’ve been calling for over a week after finding out every day to try to get the deposit back and the corporate lacks customer service support. Coincidentally, the handyman lived in the park and did some of the projects for us.We were taken advantage of, so I don’t recommend.
Oct 30, 2024 · Xandrie WestWorse place to Live. Plumbing sucks I have had standing waste outside of my window for 6 months.
