Tonkawa Casino RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Tonkawa Casino RV Park, a straightforward and practical option for RV travelers seeking a comfortable overnight stop or a short stay in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Situated conveniently at 16601 W South Ave, Tonkawa, OK 74653, USA, and easily reachable by phone at (580) 628-2020 or mobile at +1 580-628-2020, our RV park caters to those looking for essential amenities and a clean environment.
As you search for "RV parks near me," Tonkawa Casino RV Park stands out as a no-frills yet reliable choice. Our location offers the ease of access you need while on the road. While not boasting extensive resort-style features, we prioritize cleanliness and functionality to ensure a pleasant experience during your visit.
Environment:
The RV park is located in an open field, characteristic of the Oklahoma Plains. This means you can expect expansive views of the surrounding landscape. However, being an open area, it's worth noting that there is limited natural wind protection. The park itself is described by visitors as clean, providing a tidy and well-maintained setting for your RV.
Services and Features:
Tonkawa Casino RV Park offers full hookups at each of its 18 sites, including 50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections. This ensures you have all the necessary utilities for a comfortable stay. The sites feature solid concrete, level pull-through spots, a significant advantage for ease of parking and setup, especially for larger RVs. Each site is also equipped with a picnic table, offering a space for outdoor dining or relaxation.
One important point to consider is the layout of the pull-through sites. Some guests have noted that the sites can be narrow, and the placement of iron protection poles around the electricity and water hookups might require careful maneuvering, particularly if your RV has multiple slide-outs. The distance between these poles has been reported to be around 10 feet, which could impact the optimal positioning of your RV to fully extend slides.
Another aspect to be aware of is the nighttime environment. The RV park is described as absolutely dark at night, with no security lighting. Travelers who prioritize well-lit surroundings during the night should take this into consideration. Additionally, finding the entrance can be challenging, especially after dark, as the entrance sign reportedly lacks illumination and is located further west, near the truck fueling area.
While the website mentioned access to the hotel pool, some visitors have found it to be quite a distance away, making it less convenient to walk to. Furthermore, the campground is situated facing the back of the casino and hotel, with no direct access points from the rear, potentially adding to the travel time to hotel amenities.
Promotional Information:
Currently, Tonkawa Casino RV Park offers a straightforward pricing structure, with a recent report indicating a rate of $30 plus tax per night for a full hookup site. It's important to note that the RV park operates on a first-come, first-served basis and does not accept reservations. Payment is conveniently handled at the gas station register located in front of the campground.
While the park may not have elaborate amenities or a resort-like atmosphere, its key strengths lie in its cleanliness, level concrete pull-through sites, and full hookup availability at a decent price. It serves as a practical and reliable option for overnight stays, particularly for those traveling along the prairie highway.
Summary of Considerations:
- Pros: Clean RV park, solid concrete level pull-through spots, full hookups (50 amps), picnic tables, decent pricing, convenient for overnight stays.
- Cons: Narrow pull-through sites, limited space for multiple slide-outs, absolutely dark at night with no security lighting, hard-to-find and unlit entrance sign, distant and inconvenient access to the hotel pool, proximity to a casino that allows smoking (potentially affecting air quality in common areas).
Despite some of these drawbacks, many visitors find Tonkawa Casino RV Park to be a suitable and convenient stop during their travels. The emphasis on cleanliness and the functionality of the sites are often highlighted as positive aspects.
If you are looking for a basic, clean, and functional RV park in the Tonkawa area for an overnight stay or a short visit, Tonkawa Casino RV Park is worth considering. Its level pull-through sites and full hookups provide the essentials you need for a comfortable rest before continuing your journey. Remember that it operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's advisable to arrive early, especially during peak travel times. For payment, please proceed to the gas station register in front of the campground.

Tonkawa Casino RV Park Reviews
Very clean RV Park. Nothing fancy. Just perfect for overnights while traveling. Solid concrete *level* pull-through spots. Why 3 stars:1. Pull throughs are very narrow. I have 6 slides and with their iron protection poles around electricity & water, being 10' apart, I had to park on edge opposite of them to clear.2. Absolutely dark at night. No security lighting whatsoever.3. Hard to find entrance. Again, the entrance sign has no lights. (very far West entrance by truck fueling.)Those are pretty important items. Immutable situation is you're on an open field with no wind protection. It's Oklahoma Plains... Meh... No biggie.I appreciate the picnic table, but as you can see, it's in the way for stairs and slides.I would not hesitate to stay again and again. Nice spot on long prairie highway.
Nov 03, 2024 · Pop's Mother Road Flatbed ReportWe stayed here for two nights. The campground is small with just 18 sites. It was clean and pretty quiet although we could hear highway traffic. It offers full hookup with 50 amps for a decent price ($30 + tax). We didn’t like how close together the sites were and the website says campers have access to the hotel pool but it was really far away to walk to. In fact, the campground is facing the back of the casino and hotel and there were no access points in the back. Also, the casino allows smoking so it’s really not a healthy environment to hang out in. Overall, this seems to be a good layover stop. Note: We were told they do not take reservations - it’s first come, first served. Pay at the gas station register in front of campground. (May 2024)
May 05, 2024 · KristinClean RV Park. All concrete pads and all sites are pull thru. Pretty quiet. The pads need to be a little longer, but we were able to park our 40' 5th wheel there just fine. All sites are fairly level. No trees for shade, but the price was right. Check in at the convenience store. Nice little store with very friendly employees.
May 07, 2025 · Don OThe RV park was nice and clean. Within walking distance to the casino. This was the first place we’ve ever been told first come first serve and thought it was weird. There were a few sites available when we arrived so no problem getting one. Aside from no reservations we would stay again but like to know we have a spot when traveling with young kids and are in town for a softball tournament.
May 27, 2024 · Erica GrahamNice rv sites but don’t intend on using the dryers in the laundry facility, they do not work, I wasted money on 2 cycles on different dryers and they were as wet as they came out of the washer… even tried different drying settings. Told the cashier in the store and he just said ‘I know’ (that they don’t work).
