Cloud Crossing Campground Reviews
Shady campground on the bayou with about 10 sites. Each site had table, fire pit and metal stand with two hooks - very handy! Sites were large and not too close to others. ⚠️ Alligator Warning, per Forest Service. We didn't see any but were careful to keep our dog close by and away from the river. We stayed in 35' RV, plus tow car. We would stay again.
Apr 14, 2021 · Lynn CripeA diamond in the rough! Nestled along the Saline Bayou, this campground has plenty of sites and access to spring water. Quiet and beautiful the scenery is awe inspiring. Be aware however the roads into and out of the area are rough. Take care if you have a large rig!
Dec 02, 2018 · Michael WaltersGreat little campground in the Kisatchie National Forest. It’s free, has potable water spigots, and it was very clean! There’s also a large covered pavilion near the entrance with picnic tables. The place was practically empty mid-week in April.
Apr 09, 2021 · Scott SharagaBeautiful scenery, clean camping/ parking spots, good place for family get togethers. Nice pavilion for day cookouts. All around excellent weekend getaway.
May 27, 2023 · Diane TylerIn January this is a very pretty nice quiet campground with few campers. Sites are spacious. There are water taps, not in every site, but are nearby with good water. The vault toilet is clean. Metal fire rings. Lots of firewood. A hiking trail heads south on the other side of the bridge across beautiful Saline Bayou. We had two bars of internet most of the time. This is a rural site but easy enough to find. The only negative is that hunters discard their deer carcasses with no regard to anyone who comes later. This is a free first come first serve campground with no host.
