Hazel Park Introduce
For local users seeking information about "mobile home parks near me" in the Harker Heights, Texas area, Hazel Park, situated at 3307 Stillhouse Lake Rd, Harker Heights, TX 76548, USA, presents a residential option for those interested in mobile home living. The available reviews from residents offer a range of perspectives that prospective tenants should carefully consider when evaluating this property.
One reviewer expresses significant dissatisfaction with the management and overall condition of Hazel Park. This individual alleges that the owner, who resides on-site, exhibits favoritism towards certain residents, leading to delays in addressing maintenance requests for others. Specific concerns are raised regarding the handling of mold issues in a unit, where the reviewer claims being instructed to apply bleach and paint over mold that permeated the wood and frame of the bathroom. This suggests a potential lack of thoroughness in addressing underlying maintenance problems.
The same reviewer further claims that the owner prioritizes cost-saving measures, allegedly to fund a distillery venture in another country. This is presented as a reason for what the reviewer perceives as inadequate maintenance and a reluctance to invest in necessary repairs. The presence of units in severe disrepair, some purportedly needing complete removal, is also mentioned. Additionally, the reviewer cites a specific instance of a tenant living without carpet for an extended period, with no apparent action taken by management to rectify the situation despite being aware of it.
Concerns are also raised regarding the owner's alleged lack of engagement with local utility issues, specifically the changeover of an electric provider, where both the owner and manager purportedly claimed to want to help but took no action. Regarding rental terms, the reviewer mentions a deposit requirement of up to $400 for most applicants, unless they have excellent credit and undergo a credit check. The reviewer strongly advises against renting at Hazel Park, citing poor insulation in the mobile homes as an additional drawback.
Further অভিযোগ from the same reviewer include an accusation of "slumlord" behavior, referencing potential legal repercussions in California for similar alleged neglect of property. A particularly serious incident is described where a tenant's sister reportedly fell off a porch that the owner had promised to repair. The reviewer claims that despite repeated assurances over three months, the repair was only undertaken after the accident occurred, allegedly because the tenant was a "friend" of the owner. Finally, this reviewer advises individuals with respiratory problems or health concerns to seek housing elsewhere.
In contrast to the strongly negative experiences described above, another reviewer offers a positive perspective on Hazel Park. This resident states that it is a "very quiet small Mobile Home park" and expresses satisfaction with living there for about a year. They describe the park as "very clean" and note that "everyone is friendly and respectful." This reviewer also mentions that the owner lives on-site, "talks to everyone," and is "very nice." This feedback paints a significantly different picture of the park's environment and the owner's demeanor.
Considering these contrasting reviews, it is evident that experiences at Hazel Park can vary significantly. The positive review highlights the quiet atmosphere, cleanliness, and a friendly community, along with an approachable on-site owner. This suggests that some residents find the park a pleasant place to live.
However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the management's responsiveness to maintenance issues, allegations of favoritism, the condition of some units, and a potentially neglectful attitude towards necessary repairs and safety. The specific incidents described, such as the mold issue and the delayed porch repair resulting in an injury, are particularly troubling.
For local users considering Hazel Park as a potential "mobile home park near me," it is crucial to weigh these different accounts. The discrepancy in experiences could be due to various factors, such as the specific unit a resident occupies, individual expectations, or changes in management or park conditions over time. However, the seriousness of the allegations in the negative review warrants careful consideration and further investigation by prospective tenants.
Given the conflicting information, it is strongly recommended that local users interested in Hazel Park conduct a thorough site visit and, if possible, speak with current residents to gain a broader understanding of the park's environment, the responsiveness of management, and the overall living conditions. Direct observation and multiple perspectives will be invaluable in making an informed decision.
In terms of services and features, the reviews do not provide specific details about amenities typically found in mobile home parks, such as community areas, laundry facilities (beyond the mention of a mold issue in a bathroom, implying their presence within individual units), or specific park rules and regulations. Prospective residents should inquire about these aspects directly from the management during their visit.
Similarly, no promotional information is available in the provided reviews. Local users should ask about rental rates, lease terms, deposit requirements (as mentioned in one review), and any other fees or policies that may apply. Understanding the full financial and contractual obligations is essential before committing to renting a mobile home in Hazel Park.
In conclusion, Hazel Park in Harker Heights, TX, presents a mixed picture based on the available resident reviews. While one resident describes a quiet, clean, and friendly community with a nice on-site owner, another former resident raises serious allegations regarding neglectful management, poor maintenance practices, and safety concerns. Local users searching for "mobile home parks near me" should approach Hazel Park with caution, carefully consider both positive and negative feedback, and conduct thorough due diligence, including a site visit and direct communication with management and current residents, before making a decision.

Hazel Park Reviews
Yeah owner is in site. Well he sits over everyone to look down at the park. He has his favorite friends in the park who gets everything right away while others have to wait. He had me spay bleach on mold and paint over it even after being told that the mold is all the way through the wood and frame of the bathroom in that unit. He only cares about doing itas cheap as he possibly can to save as much money to fund his distillery in another country. ( I drank better whiskey that was in a hole in Iraq). He has units that need to just be completely removed do to the state that they were kept in. He has one unit with a tenet that hasn't had carpet in years and no attempt has been made to fix the problem. The carpet was removed while he was out of the country ( trying to make whiskey) and never reinstalled. He had no idea it happened until the beginning of this year. He honestly doesn't have a real clue about the state of the place. Both him and his manager claimed to want to help to change over the electric provider for that area. But neither of them really did anything at all. For most people he claims to want to rent to, they will have to pay a deposit of up around 400$ plus unless you have really good credit and let them run a credit check. But none the less highly do not recommend renting here. None of these trailers have any real insulation in them, or has any of it ever been replaced. If this was in California he would have been out in jail years ago and lost all of his "property for being a slumlord. One tenets sister fell off a porch that owner said he was going to get the material for to repair and replace. It took almost 2 months and the accident before he came back the the United States and got the stuff needed. He kept on telling everyone (the manager and myself when I still was at that place)that he was gonna do it because that was his friend. But still took 3 months and the guys sister to fall through the railing. If you have an kind of respiratory problem or health concerns I would look elsewhere.
