Heron's Nest RV Park & Camp Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Silt, Colorado area, Heron's Nest RV Park & Camp presents itself as a noteworthy option, offering a range of services and features designed to accommodate both short-term and long-term stays for RVers and tent campers. Situated at 32956 River Frontage Rd, Silt, CO 81652, USA, this park can be reached via phone at (970) 876-2443 or mobile at +1 970-876-2443.
When considering an RV park, the environment is often a primary concern. Heron's Nest RV Park & Camp offers a mixed bag in terms of its surroundings. One side of the park is noted for being quite loud due to its proximity to I-70. This can be a significant factor for those who prioritize a quiet environment for relaxation. However, the other side of the park boasts a quieter setting, bordering the serene Colorado River. This duality allows prospective visitors to choose a spot that aligns with their preference for noise levels, with the river side offering a more tranquil experience for those seeking peace and quiet amidst nature.
In terms of services and amenities, Heron's Nest RV Park & Camp provides essential facilities for its guests. The park offers both RV sites with hookups and tent sites without hookups. For RVers, the monthly rate with hookups is $650. This typically includes connections for electricity, water, and sewer, which are standard for a comfortable RV stay. Tent campers can avail themselves of a more budget-friendly option at $325 per month for a site with no hookups. This pricing structure caters to different types of campers and their specific needs.
One of the key services available at the park includes shower and bathroom facilities. While these are noted to be "pretty dated," they nonetheless provide necessary conveniences for campers. For laundry needs, the park has newer laundry facilities, which is a significant advantage for those on extended stays, offering modern and functional equipment for washing clothes. This amenity is particularly valuable for long-term residents who require regular access to laundry services.
Promotional information and customer feedback provide further insight into the park's features and management. From a financial perspective, one customer review highlights a smooth deposit return process, where a deposit paid via credit card was promptly returned in cash upon departure. This efficient and hassle-free approach to deposit refunds is a positive point, contributing to a satisfactory guest experience.
Management and staff interactions are frequently mentioned in reviews. The owner, Simone, and the manager, Danny, are consistently described as "very nice guys and easy to work with." Positive interactions with management can greatly enhance a guest's stay, fostering a welcoming and cooperative atmosphere. This ease of communication and helpfulness from the staff contributes to a positive overall impression for many campers.
However, it is important to present a balanced view, as customer experiences can vary. While some reviews are overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the affordability, the convenience of services, and the pleasant interactions with staff, others express significant concerns. One review, in particular, paints a starkly different picture, describing a "terrible place to live." This review cites issues such as constant loud music from neighbors' speakers, concerns about security including a "weird person walking around my trailer at night and slashing people's tires," and instances of stolen belongings. The reviewer also mentions that their girlfriend was "terrified of the neighbors" and, critically, alleges that the owner is "terrible and racist," advising against staying at the park "at all costs."
This stark contrast in reviews suggests that experiences at Heron's Nest RV Park & Camp can be highly subjective and dependent on individual circumstances and sensitivities. Prospective campers should weigh these varying accounts carefully. The positive reviews emphasize the value, the accommodating nature of the management, and the convenient location for those who appreciate proximity to I-70 for travel and the Colorado River for recreation. The negative review, however, raises serious concerns about safety, noise disturbance, and potentially discriminatory behavior from management. It is advisable for individuals considering a stay, especially a long-term one, to perhaps visit the park beforehand if possible, or to contact the management directly to address any specific concerns regarding safety, noise, or community environment.
In summary, Heron's Nest RV Park & Camp, listed under "RV parks near me," offers a range of services and facilities, including RV hookups and tent sites, with competitive monthly rates. It provides essential amenities like showers, bathrooms (albeit dated), and newer laundry facilities. The park's environment is characterized by its dual nature: noisy due to I-70 on one side and quiet and scenic along the Colorado River on the other. While many guests have lauded the helpfulness of the owner and manager and appreciated the straightforward deposit return policy, there are significant concerns raised by other reviews regarding safety, noise, and allegations of racism. Potential visitors are encouraged to consider all aspects of the feedback to determine if Heron's Nest RV Park & Camp aligns with their specific needs and expectations for an RV or camping experience in Silt, CO.

All the upsides far out weigh the down side!***** payed deposit on CC, went in to the office about a week after I left collect my deposit and it was just given to me in cash on the spot. Perfect 5-star review for me, it fit my needs exactly!
Jan 28, 2020 · Leland Baker (C)Dirty, good luck getting any maintenance or help, the owner is a grade a ### who treats people very badly and is always evicting people for no reason. The bathrooms are filthy and full of bugs. If the County would look into it, there are many things that have been done that are not quite legal. The manager is, however, a real good guy. Some nice people live here. They should have someone on hand to help the elderly, alone, and single women.
Sep 13, 2020 · Zoe LindauerDefinitely could be a great place, but has many monthly guests that have been here a long time. Seems like a stereotypical "trailer park" that you see in the movies with lots of things outside of people's trailers.Management is great and friendly. Washers seem newer but could use an update for the dryers.Bathrooms are terrible. I went in once and swore to never go in. Can't speak for the women's room, but I bet it's similar.Great views of the river and mountain side.
Jun 25, 2016 · Dustin DavisThis place has nice people who are regulars. The facilities look like they have not been updated since it was built 25+ yrs ago. The place is also full of a lot of junk from long term renters. It doesn't feel like a safe place though I have had nor dangerous experiences there.
