Herring RV and Mobile Village Introduce
For local users searching for "RV Parks Near Me" in the Goldsboro, North Carolina area, Herring RV and Mobile Village, situated at 107 Angie Dr C, Goldsboro, NC 27530, USA, presents itself as a potentially welcoming option. You can contact them at (919) 689-2669 or their mobile number +1 919-689-2669 to inquire about availability and their specific offerings. It's important to note that while the name includes "RV," the presence of "Mobile Village" suggests a community that may cater to both short-term RV stays and long-term mobile home residents.
One positive review describes Herring RV and Mobile Village as "such a nice place!" The reviewer specifically commends the "office people" for being "so friendly and helpful," highlighting a positive aspect of the customer service experience. The campground is also praised for its "large" sites, suggesting ample space for RVs of various sizes, and the "bathrooms were clean," indicating attention to hygiene and maintenance of facilities. Overall, this reviewer experienced it as a "nice, quiet family campground" and expressed a desire to have stayed longer, suggesting a pleasant and peaceful environment suitable for families.
However, another review brings attention to a specific policy regarding the age of campers allowed in the park. This reviewer notes that "they won't let any campers that are over 10 years old." While the reviewer states they "understand completely" the reasoning behind such a rule, they also point out a potential inconsistency in its application. They observed that "there are some R vs out there that are nasty and a whole lot older and falling apart" already within the park. The reviewer concludes that if such rules are to be enforced, they should be applied consistently across the entire park to ensure the desired standard is met.
Considering these two reviews, Herring RV and Mobile Village appears to offer a friendly and quiet environment with spacious sites and clean facilities, which are significant positives for those seeking a comfortable camping experience. The helpfulness of the office staff further enhances the appeal. The "family campground" description suggests a welcoming atmosphere for those traveling with children.
However, the policy regarding the age of campers is a crucial factor for potential visitors to be aware of. If your RV is more than 10 years old, you may not be permitted to stay at Herring RV and Mobile Village. It is essential to confirm this policy directly with the management before making any reservations. The inconsistency in the application of this rule, as noted by one reviewer, might be a point of concern for some visitors who expect consistent standards throughout the park.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of Herring RV and Mobile Village and its current services and features, it is recommended to contact them directly. Inquiring about specific amenities and policies will help local users determine if this park meets their needs. Potential questions to ask include:
- RV site details: What are the sizes and types of RV sites available (e.g., pull-through, back-in)? What utility hookups are offered (e.g., electricity, water, sewer)?
- Age policy for RVs: What is the exact policy regarding the age of RVs allowed in the park? Are there any exceptions or inspection processes for older RVs?
- Amenities and facilities: Beyond clean bathrooms, what other amenities are available? This could include laundry facilities, Wi-Fi access, recreational areas, picnic tables, fire pits, etc.
- Family-friendly features: Are there specific amenities or activities geared towards families, such as playgrounds or open spaces?
- Long-term stays: As the name includes "Mobile Village," inquire about the availability and terms for long-term RV stays or mobile home residency.
- Pet policy: Are pets allowed? If so, are there any restrictions or designated areas?
- Rates and reservations: What are the current rates for daily, weekly, or monthly RV stays? What is the reservation process? Are there any special offers or discounts?
- Park environment: Can you provide more details about the "quiet" atmosphere? Are there specific quiet hours enforced? What is the general layout and feel of the park?
- Mobile home community: If the park includes a mobile home village, are there any interactions or shared facilities between the RV and mobile home sections?
For local users specifically searching for "RV Parks Near Me" for short-term stays, Herring RV and Mobile Village appears to offer a pleasant environment with friendly service and clean facilities. The large sites are a definite advantage for comfortable parking and setup. However, the 10-year RV age limit is a critical factor that must be verified. If your RV falls within this criterion, the positive aspects of the park, as highlighted by one reviewer, make it a potentially attractive option.
For those who might be interested in longer-term stays or exploring mobile home living options in Goldsboro, inquiring about the "Mobile Village" aspect of Herring RV and Mobile Village is essential. Understanding the community dynamics, available lot sizes, and any associated regulations would be necessary for making an informed decision.
In conclusion, Herring RV and Mobile Village in Goldsboro, NC, offers a seemingly nice and quiet setting with friendly staff, spacious sites, and clean bathrooms. However, the strict policy regarding the age of RVs is a significant consideration for potential campers. Local users should contact the park directly to confirm this policy and gather more details about the amenities and services available to ensure it meets their specific needs for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, whether for a short visit or a longer-term arrangement.

Herring RV and Mobile Village Reviews
Such a nice place! The office people are so friendly and helpful. The sites were large and the bathrooms were clean. It was a nice, quiet family campground. We wished we could have stayed longer!
Oct 29, 2024 · Anita McManusIt's nice, however they won't let any campers that are over 10 years old, Which i understand completely, however, when you're gonna place those kind of rules, you need to look around the whole park and make sure what you're asking for is in place cause there are some R vs out there that are nasty and a whole lot older and falling apart. I understand their rules, but if they're going to make rules, they should make it for the whole park
Sep 24, 2024 · Donna PresleyWe stayed at Herring RV and Mobile village for a little over a year and a half. This place is affordable and quiet, has an office, laundry on site, and shower/restroom. You can pay with card or cash (card option added while we were there). Plumbing for the campers needs to be upgraded and during the summer you definitely need fly traps, but all in all we really enjoyed being in our cozy spot away from the city. Spectrum is available here for your tv/internet needs so that was a nice plus. Our spot had a view of the woods and had shade from the tree next to our site. We had some fantastic neighbors that always offered to help where they could if we needed anything.
Aug 24, 2020 · SSI can't say enough good things about this park, it's owner and office manager. I'm dismayed that it got any 1 star reviews. Steve Herring was a great landlord and so is the office manager. I've lived out here for almost 5 years and I love it. I came from a campground where you had to take your own trash to the dumpster and weed eat around your camper and worry that you'll be charged an arm and a leg if you go over a certain amount of energy usage. When I moved here from there I was so excited when I saw I had my own trash container. They also have a full lawn service which includes weed eating around your camper! Steve had an office built with a laundry room and bath house to make life easier on us and with commercial dryers you can dry two loads at a time. He just recently had our road paved. When the office was completed he had a bbq for the whole park to celebrate and for Christmas he gives those that are alone or living on social security a huge fruit basket. The park does have mobile homes as well as rv's that for the most part are full time. We do have contractor's that come for a few weeks or months and then they move on. The park has a lot of places to walk. It's quiet and peaceful out here and feels more like a neighborhood. The campers are situated where you are not staring at someone's sewage hoses when you walk out the door and the lots are huge compared to other campgrounds. After the office, laundry and bath house were complete we were all given all of the rules and regulations in order to provide those who live here not only a clean nice park, but also to provide a safe place to live. As I see it, if you follow the rules and regulations there is no reason in the world not have a good relationship with the owner or office manager.
Feb 25, 2022 · Cheryl PolkLove this place, very reasonable price. People were very kind to me and my kids. Campground was fairly quiet, had kids playing occasionally and people just going to and from work. I felt safe here with my kids as I am a single mother. Would definitely stay here again when I come back through. Thanks!
