Hillsdale Mobile Village Introduce
Located at 2856 W Carleton Rd, Hillsdale, MI 49242, USA, Hillsdale Mobile Village is a mobile home park offering residential rentals. While not a traditional RV park catering to short-term stays, individuals searching within the 'RV parks near me' category, particularly those considering longer-term housing solutions or understanding the landscape of residential rental communities for potential extended RV stays, might find the experiences shared by residents relevant. Hillsdale Mobile Village can be contacted at (313) 444-9242 or +1 313-444-9242 for inquiries.
The environment of Hillsdale Mobile Village, based on the limited information beyond resident reviews, is that of a typical mobile home community. These communities often feature individual lots for mobile homes, roadways throughout the park, and potentially some common areas. However, the customer reviews provide insights into aspects of the environment that may be concerning. One review mentions a "mess in the yard" left by contractors that residents were told to take care of themselves. This suggests potential issues with the upkeep of individual lots or common areas following maintenance work. While the general physical environment isn't detailed, these specific instances point to potential challenges in maintaining a clean and well-kept community. For those in the 'RV parks near me' category considering a longer-term rental in a mobile home, the state of the community's environment is a factor to consider.
The services at Hillsdale Mobile Village, as perceived by its residents, appear to be a significant area of concern. Multiple reviews highlight difficulties in getting necessary repairs done. One resident reported having to "fight to get things fixed" and being told initially that rent would not be charged until pre-existing problems were resolved, only to have management seemingly backtrack on this agreement while the issues remained unaddressed. Specifically, the lack of attention to a malfunctioning furnace was mentioned over an extended period. Another resident detailed a prolonged struggle to get water running and heat fixed upon moving in, with the furnace eventually being repaired months later only to break down again. This resident also reported a lack of communication and compensation for increased utility bills due to the faulty furnace. Furthermore, they described repeated instances of water being shut off without notice, with even the manager being unaware of scheduled outages. The difficulty in contacting owners, with instructions to use an unresponsive online portal, further underscores issues with the management's responsiveness and communication. For anyone considering a long-term rental in this community, the reported challenges in obtaining essential services and timely repairs are critical factors to evaluate.
The features of Hillsdale Mobile Village that can be gleaned from the reviews are primarily negative. The lack of prompt maintenance and communication appears to be a recurring theme. The unfulfilled promises regarding repairs before the commencement of rent payment, the extended periods without essential utilities like heat and water, and the difficulty in reaching the owners through the designated communication channels all point to significant shortcomings in the management and upkeep of the property. The instance of residents being asked to clean up messes left by contractors also suggests a lack of responsibility on the part of the management regarding property maintenance. While the park's basic feature is providing residential lots for mobile homes, the negative experiences reported by residents regarding the provision of essential services and the responsiveness of management overshadow any potential positive features that might typically be associated with a mobile home community, such as a sense of community or shared amenities (none of which are mentioned in the provided reviews). For those in the 'RV parks near me' category considering a long-term stay in a rental unit, the reliability of services and the responsiveness of management are crucial features to assess.
Regarding promotional information, the provided data does not include any details about current promotions or special offers for Hillsdale Mobile Village. Given the significant negative feedback concerning maintenance and management, it is possible that the park may be offering incentives to attract new residents. However, without specific information, this is speculative. Individuals considering renting at Hillsdale Mobile Village should directly inquire about any current promotions, rental rates, lease terms, and the policies regarding maintenance and communication to get a clear understanding of what to expect. It would be prudent to thoroughly discuss the processes for requesting and receiving repairs, the expected timelines for service issues, and the primary methods of communication with management and owners.
The customer reviews for Hillsdale Mobile Village paint a concerning picture regarding the living experience. Both reviews detail significant issues with obtaining essential repairs, lack of communication from management, and instances of utility disruptions without notice. These are serious considerations for anyone contemplating residing in this community, whether in a mobile home rental or potentially as a long-term RV renter if such arrangements were available. The experiences shared highlight a pattern of unaddressed maintenance requests, broken promises, and difficulties in contacting those responsible for resolving issues. These negative testimonials serve as critical information for prospective residents to weigh carefully. For those in the 'RV parks near me' category who might be exploring long-term rental options in mobile home parks, the challenges reported at Hillsdale Mobile Village underscore the importance of thorough research and due diligence before committing to a lease.
In conclusion, based on the available customer reviews, Hillsdale Mobile Village in Hillsdale, Michigan, appears to be a mobile home park with significant challenges related to maintenance and management responsiveness. Potential residents, including those in the 'RV parks near me' category considering long-term rental options, should be aware of the reported difficulties in getting repairs done, issues with utility services, and communication problems with management. While the basic offering is residential rental lots for mobile homes, the negative experiences shared by current residents suggest a need for thorough investigation and direct communication with the management regarding their policies and procedures for addressing resident concerns before making a decision to reside at Hillsdale Mobile Village. Contacting (313) 444-9242 or +1 313-444-9242 for detailed inquiries is strongly recommended.

Hillsdale Mobile Village Reviews
Have to fight to get things fixed or told from the start when moving in that nothing will be charged until the problems that we had st the beginning was fixed paid rent the one month in good faith they would have it all done working on it now no one has looked at the furnace since then and now they want us to still pay rent yes I know the furnace isn't important right now but it was apart of the deal at the beginning and now they are backing out of the deal and expecting the payment and they don't do anything about the mess in the yard until they tell you to take care of it when it was there contractors.
Jun 30, 2024 · Ty MyersSo I've been living here for over a year and it was a fight to get my water running and heat fixed when I moved in. Finally got my furnace fixed in August and went out about a month or 2 ago. Sent someone to fix it, didn't hear anything for 4 days with a newborn in the house. Didn't offer any compensation on my sky rocketed gas bill. Now this is the second time in i think 2 weeks that they have shut the water off with absolutely no notice. And the first time the manager didn't even know that it was supposed to be shut off. Asked to get ahold of the owners told to go thru the portal which no on responds to immediately. This place is a joke and management sucks
Apr 04, 2025 · EricaAmazing workers & polite workers. The maintenance men, are quick to fix and help. Nice trailers. Manager is very respectful.
Dec 07, 2024 · Calvin KurtzI love this place! It's quiet and peaceful, anytime I have needed anything the property manager and maintenence have been on it. They are super flexible with rent you just have to tell them the date you will have it. I have had to have time to scrounge around for the rent due to not having enough hours and they work with me. Super awesome people and sweet property manager. I feel safe letting my kids play. This is a trailer park that is somewhat lenient and understands hardship. As long as you pay your rent they pretty much leave you alone. Let you live your life in peace. This is our stepping stone before we buy a house out in the country. Our tiny trailer is cute!
Feb 01, 2024 · Stacy BondsteelI don't have issues with most people here but the constant change in management is frustrating...we go from having a good manager to one that don't answer phone calls messages or concerns and back again then back again....first it was charging everyone for water they weren't using...fixing certain pipes for trailers and then saying it's not their problem for others...and just never getting any feed back or true caring conversation. Yet they keep raising the rent and adding new fee's...I've never been late and always put money on my books but I truly feel sorry for the less fortunate in the park that can't handle another surplus of fee's and rent for less and less management and help. Hope changes are made soon
