Holiday Roads RV Park Introduce
When you're on the lookout for "RV parks near me" and your search leads you to Wellston, Oklahoma, Holiday Roads RV Park, located at 9581 Dobbs Rd, Wellston, OK 74881, presents a location with contrasting recent feedback. You can contact them at (405) 471-3463 or their mobile number +1 405-471-3463 for more information and to make inquiries. It's important to consider all available information to make an informed decision about your stay.
One recent review paints a concerning picture regarding the current state of the campground and the road leading to it. This guest reported a challenging 15-mile drive down what they described as a "horrible gravel road" with potential hazards such as limbs and washouts, which could pose a risk to RVs, particularly larger ones like fifth wheels. Upon arrival, the reviewer's impression was that the campground appeared to be in poor condition, leading them to feel unsafe leaving their belongings unattended and prompting them to continue their journey elsewhere. This feedback strongly suggests that potential visitors should exercise caution and seek current visual information about the park and access road before making a commitment.
In contrast, another review offers a more positive perspective, highlighting the natural beauty of the area. This guest described the location as a "beautiful quiet area" with "gorgeous red and orange sunsets and blue skies." They also praised the hosts as "friendly" and noted that they felt welcome during their stay. Additionally, this reviewer enjoyed a walk to the creek bed, suggesting that the surrounding environment offers opportunities for nature walks and enjoying the outdoors. This feedback indicates that Holiday Roads RV Park may indeed be situated in a scenic and tranquil setting with hospitable management.
The significant discrepancy between these two recent reviews underscores the importance of seeking the most current information available. The negative review specifically mentions that the "pictures online are not a reflection of the current campground," indicating a potential disconnect between the advertised appearance and the present reality. This is a critical point for anyone considering a visit, as it suggests that relying solely on older online visuals may lead to unmet expectations.
Considering the conflicting feedback, potential visitors should prioritize direct communication with Holiday Roads RV Park. Inquiring about the current condition of the access road is crucial, especially for those traveling in larger or more sensitive RVs. It would also be prudent to ask for recent photographs of the campground to get an accurate sense of its present state and to assess whether it meets your standards for safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance.
While one reviewer found the area beautiful and quiet, and the hosts friendly, the other's experience raises concerns about accessibility and the overall condition of the park. The feeling of unsafety reported by one guest is particularly noteworthy and should be taken seriously. Factors such as the upkeep of the grounds and the general atmosphere contribute significantly to a sense of security and comfort for RV travelers.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Wellston area, Holiday Roads RV Park presents a mixed picture based on recent online reviews. The potential for a quiet and scenic stay with friendly hosts is appealing, as highlighted by one guest's positive experience. The allure of beautiful sunsets and a natural environment, including a creek bed, could be attractive to those seeking a peaceful retreat. However, the serious concerns raised by another reviewer regarding the poor condition of the access road and the campground itself cannot be ignored. The discrepancy with online pictures further complicates the decision-making process.
Therefore, if Holiday Roads RV Park is on your list of potential "RV parks near me," it is strongly recommended that you take proactive steps to gather the most up-to-date information. Contacting the park directly via phone at (405) 471-3463 or +1 405-471-3463 is essential. During your call, inquire specifically about the current condition of Dobbs Road leading to the park and request recent photos of the RV sites and overall grounds. Understanding the present state of the facilities and the access route will help you determine if Holiday Roads RV Park aligns with your needs and expectations for a safe and enjoyable RV experience.
In conclusion, Holiday Roads RV Park in Wellston, OK, appears to offer a potentially tranquil setting with friendly management. The beautiful natural surroundings, including the sunsets and creek bed, could be a significant draw for nature enthusiasts. However, recent feedback indicating a challenging access road and a campground not reflecting online images necessitates thorough due diligence. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should prioritize direct communication with the park to obtain current information before making a reservation to ensure a satisfactory and safe stay.

Holiday Roads RV Park Reviews
The pictures online are not a reflection of the current campround. I drove 15 miles down a horrible gravel road, beating my 5th wheel up with limbs and wash outs…then pull into a dump. I did not feel safe leaving my belongings unattended so I made the drive on up to Stillwater. I’m not usually one to judge based on appearance, but this is a little much for me.
