Holly Beach RV Park Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Cameron, Louisiana area, Holly Beach RV Park, located at 2249 Mallard St, Cameron, LA 70631, USA, offers a unique opportunity for a quiet and beach-focused getaway. Based on the available customer reviews, this introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the environment, services, and features of Holly Beach RV Park to help local RVers make informed decisions.
One of the most significant highlights of Holly Beach RV Park is its proximity to the beach. According to one reviewer, the park is just a "3 blocks" walk from the shore. This easy access to the Gulf Coast is a major draw for those who enjoy beach activities, shell hunting, and the tranquility of the ocean. The beach itself is described as "very clean" with "transparent" water, suggesting a pleasant environment for swimming and wading. The water is also noted to be "not deep" and "very calm," making it a "very safe place" for individuals of all ages to enjoy the water.
The beach experience at Holly Beach appears to be a key feature. One reviewer mentioned that the beach is "full of shells and sea glass," which would be particularly appealing to those who enjoy collecting these natural treasures. Additionally, the beach is described as having "very few people," indicating a secluded and peaceful atmosphere, ideal for those seeking a quiet escape from more crowded tourist destinations.
In terms of the RV park itself, one reviewer characterizes it as "no frills." This suggests that Holly Beach RV Park focuses on providing the essential hookups and amenities needed for a comfortable RV stay without an abundance of extra facilities or activities. The basic setup includes the ability to "just plug in, hook up water and sewer," indicating that the park offers the necessary utilities for self-contained RVs. This simplicity can be appealing to RVers who primarily seek a convenient basecamp for enjoying the nearby beach.
While the beach itself is praised for its cleanliness, one reviewer did note a potential negative aspect: the presence of trash. The reviewer mentioned that their husband "always carried bags to pick up trash," suggesting that litter might occasionally be an issue on the beach. This is something for potential visitors to be aware of, and it highlights the importance of responsible beach etiquette.
Another notable aspect of Holly Beach RV Park is the lack of on-site trash disposal. The reviewer mentioned, "No trash disposal at the RV park either. You drive a short distance to the area dump." This is a significant consideration for RVers, as it requires planning for waste disposal during their stay. The need to drive to an off-site dump is a less convenient arrangement compared to parks with on-site dumpsters.
Despite the lack of on-site trash disposal, the overall experience at Holly Beach RV Park seems positive. The reviewer described the park as "safe with friendly people," which contributes to a welcoming and secure environment for visitors. The final sentiment, "if you are looking for a quiet get away, this is it!" reinforces the park's suitability for those seeking peace and tranquility away from more bustling areas.
Based on the available reviews, Holly Beach RV Park offers a straightforward and affordable option for RVers primarily interested in enjoying the nearby beach. The environment is characterized by a clean and calm beach with abundant shells and sea glass, and a quiet, uncrowded atmosphere. The RV park itself provides basic hookups in a safe and friendly setting.
However, potential visitors should be aware of the "no frills" nature of the park and the lack of on-site trash disposal, which requires a short drive to an area dump. Holly Beach RV Park Reviews
The beach is very clean and the water is transparent. You can walk into the water, which is not deep and is very calm and is a very safe place.
Aug 12, 2024 · Rosa Olivares RosalesWe loved our stay here. It’s no frills; just plug in , hook up water and sewer and walk 3 blocks to the beach. The beach is full of shells and sea glass, very few people. My husband always carried bags to pick up trash. That was a negative for the beach. No trash disposal at the RV park either. You drive a short distance to the area dump. It was safe with friendly people and if you are looking for a quiet get away, this is it!
Apr 07, 2022 · Ann HerschbergerThis is not your usual rv park. You basically pull up to a concrete pad and have hookups. That's what you get. No table, no fire pit, no pool, no shade, no camp shop. Nothing. Bring everything. But what you do get is an amazing beach with no crowds and amazing shells and sunsets. It's quite, its unique. It's a place to park and hookup. Do it and enjoy the wide open beach. 1 star off for not having a trash can...😅
Feb 23, 2022 · Gerr BerrWe stayed 3 nights at the Holly Beach RV Resort and we were the only one here. The park is a large concrete slab in the middle of the Holly Beach community. It has 6-8 back-in, full hook-up sites that can fit any big rig. The beach on the Gulf of Mexico is a very short walk away. Our stay was very quiet and enjoyable. There is free camping on the beach should you want to boondock on the beach. We saw very few locals due to the time of year. All of our hooks-up worked perfectly. The sites are all 50 amp so bring a 30 to 50 amp adapter. I recommend this RV park highly and would stay here again. There is no shower or bath house or laundry. Overall we really loved this place.
Jan 24, 2020 · Robert OmsteadSerenity over amenities. This is a basic RV park with full hookups, no community batheooms or showers. But so quiet, peaceful, and just a short walk to a beautiful sandy beach with great shell collecting potential. The hosts are friendly and helpful, as are other guests. An all around perfect place for a relaxing getaway!
