Home Place RV Park Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in the Gladewater, Texas area, Home Place RV Park, situated at 138 Texas St, offers a location directly off Highway 80. You can reach them at (903) 845-3377 or +1 903-845-3377. According to one review, Home Place RV Park is described as "Clean, Nice, Quiet," and primarily caters to a mix of middle-working and retired individuals. This suggests a potentially peaceful and mature environment for those seeking a relaxed stay.
The same positive review highlights the ease of access for RVs ("Easy In n Out for RV") and the availability of a laundry room, which is a significant convenience for travelers. The park's location is also noted for its proximity to local conveniences in nearby cities, described as being within a 5, 10, or 15-minute drive, making it a potentially good base for exploring the local area or accessing necessary services.
The review also mentions specific policies: "Kids cost extra," indicating an additional charge for children, and "Pets ok," suggesting that the park is pet-friendly, although it advises calling for details regarding any specific rules or restrictions related to pets. This information is important for families with children and those traveling with animals when considering "RV parks near me."
However, another, more critical review presents a starkly different perspective, particularly for full-time residents. This review alleges a form of "segregation" between mobile home residents and RV tenants. According to this account, mobile home residents are reportedly restricted from using the playground and laundry facilities and lack access to federal mail at their homes. The reviewer claims they are not allowed to install mailboxes in front of their mobile homes, despite asserting their legal right to do so. They further state that a central mailbox system has been installed exclusively for RV tenants, implying a disparity in services based on the type of accommodation.
The reviewer expresses frustration over this alleged differential treatment, feeling like "bad kids that don't pay enough rent," especially since they believe RV tenants pay more. They also claim that mobile home residents are not supposed to use the front driveway. The review concludes with a strong accusation regarding interference with the US Postal Service and anticipates a potential eviction notice for posting the review, vowing to install their own mailbox regardless.
Given these contrasting reviews, it is crucial for potential guests and especially those considering a longer stay to be aware of these reported issues. While transient RVers might find the park clean, quiet, and conveniently located as described in the first review, individuals considering full-time residency, particularly in mobile homes, should be aware of the serious allegations raised in the second review regarding unequal access to amenities and mail services.
When searching for "RV parks near me" for a short stopover, Home Place RV Park's proximity to Highway 80 and nearby towns could be advantageous. The mention of a laundry room is a practical benefit for travelers. However, the policy of charging extra for children should be factored into the overall cost for families.
For those contemplating a longer-term stay, it is imperative to seek clarification from the park management regarding the policies mentioned in the negative review. Specifically, inquiries should be made about:
- Access to all advertised amenities, such as the playground and laundry facilities, for all types of residents (RV and mobile home).
- The handling of mail for all residents and the regulations regarding personal mailboxes.
- Any restrictions on the use of park facilities or areas based on the type of accommodation.
- The specific rules and fees related to children and pets.
It is important to note that the second review makes serious accusations, including potential interference with US Postal Service regulations. While these are allegations, they warrant careful consideration for anyone planning an extended stay at Home Place RV Park. Potential long-term residents may wish to seek independent advice or verification regarding their rights as tenants and the legality of the park's policies as described in the review.
For short-term travelers prioritizing convenience, cleanliness, and a quiet atmosphere for a brief stopover while searching "RV parks near me," Home Place RV Park's location and the positive aspects mentioned in the first review might be appealing. However, it would still be prudent to inquire about the pet policy details and the extra charge for children to avoid any unexpected costs.
In conclusion, Home Place RV Park appears to offer a potentially clean and convenient option for short-term RV stays in Gladewater, Texas, with easy highway access and proximity to local towns. However, the serious allegations raised in the second review regarding discriminatory practices against mobile home residents, particularly concerning amenity access and mail service, should give pause to anyone considering a long-term stay. It is strongly recommended that prospective long-term residents contact the park management directly to address these concerns and seek clarification on all policies before making a decision. Short-term visitors should also inquire about specific policies related to children and pets to ensure a smooth and transparent stay when considering Home Place RV Park among the "RV parks near me."

Nov 21, 2023 · GO LOCALif you passing thru great. if your here full time it's like segration again. mobile home residents can't use the playground, laundry and have no access to FEDERAL MAIL. not allowed to put up a mailbox in front of our homes( legally they can't stop it) they just installed central mailbox for RV tenets only . even though inspector general says they have to give us a box. it's like were bad kids that don't pay enough rent. RV people pay more. were not even supposed to use the front driveway. by they way it's a criminal act interfering with US POSTAL SERVICE. Watch me get eviction notice for this review. Bring it ladies . my mailbox will be up before the weekend.
