4.0
Finally a park that's not all concrete or pavers. Surrounded by grass and setting along the Lake Okeechobee Rim Canal, this lovely park has Mobile Homes and owners stay either year around or seasonal. Some people choose to come for the winter season and leave their skirted RV's on property, and some bring their RV's from home and stay the winter season which runs from October 1 through March 31st.Water, sewer, trash and lawn maintenance services are provided for all throughout the park. The grounds are beautifully kept with lovely landscaping throughout enhancing your sightings of the local wildlife. There is a boat ramp for those who wish to put in at the park, or just down the road is Scott Drive park where you can access the Kissimmee River. There are two fish cleaning houses with electric and water in each fisherman may use at no cost, a clubhouse for planned activities during the winter season, and restrooms and laundry room.5 entrances make it easy to enter and exit the park and management is on site for any issues that may need their attention. Reasonably priced and an excellent location to head to the east or west coast for activities or shopping, although the town of Okeechobee is expanding with many new restaurants, a community choir and theatre and a new Starbucks coming soon. Don't forget to visit the flea market for those great bargains while here. - Gail Speer
