Homecrest Mobile Home Community Introduce
Homecrest Mobile Home Community, located at 1900 Coral Ave, Chesapeake, VA 23324, USA, serves as a residential community primarily for manufactured homes. For inquiries, the community can be reached at (757) 543-1115 or +1 757-543-1115. It is important to note that while some individuals searching on platforms like "RV Parks Near Me" might encounter this listing, Homecrest Mobile Home Community is fundamentally designed for long-term residency in manufactured homes, rather than short-term recreational vehicle stays. This introduction aims to provide a comprehensive and objective overview based on available public information, including direct feedback from residents and visitors.
Homecrest Mobile Home Community is situated in Chesapeake, Virginia, a city recognized for its diverse communities and convenient access to the broader Hampton Roads metropolitan area. The environment within the community garners mixed reviews from visitors and past residents. One review positively highlights "excellent neighbors and environment," suggesting that for some, the community offers a pleasant and supportive living atmosphere. However, another review describes negative interactions with some residents, alluding to issues with personal property maintenance (e.g., "lawn is a disaster") and potentially unfriendly behavior from a few individuals. This indicates that the overall environment can vary from lot to lot and depends heavily on individual neighborly interactions. As a mobile home community, it typically features individual lots for manufactured homes, internal roads, and common areas. The aesthetic and general upkeep of these elements would significantly contribute to the perceived environment. The location in Chesapeake provides residents with access to a wide array of city amenities, including shopping centers, dining establishments, parks, and schools, and offers good connectivity to major roadways for commuting purposes. The nature of a mobile home park means that the individual pride of ownership and adherence to community standards by residents also play a considerable role in shaping the park's overall environment and appeal.
As a mobile home community, Homecrest Mobile Home Community primarily provides leased lots for manufactured homes. Residents who own their homes lease the land from the park management. The services typically offered by such a community include the provision and maintenance of essential infrastructure like internal roads, water and sewer hook-ups to individual lots, and possibly trash collection services. While explicit details on specific services like on-site management, emergency maintenance, or utility providers are not extensively detailed in the provided information, the core service offering revolves around providing a managed environment for manufactured home living. The quality of management services, such as responsiveness to maintenance requests for common areas or enforcement of community rules, significantly impacts resident satisfaction. The review mentioning a "lawn care service" suggests that residents are typically responsible for maintaining their individual lots, including landscaping. The nature of a long-term residential community means that the management's role is to ensure a functional and orderly living environment for its residents. Prospective residents should inquire directly about the scope of services included in the lot rent, what utilities are the responsibility of the homeowner, and the procedures for addressing any community-related issues.
The main feature of Homecrest Mobile Home Community is its provision of individual lots for manufactured homes, offering a more affordable pathway to homeownership or long-term residency compared to traditional housing in Chesapeake. The community's strength, based on one review, lies in fostering "excellent neighbors" and an overall positive "environment" for some residents, suggesting a potential for strong community bonds. While specific on-site amenities such as clubhouses, pools, or playgrounds are not detailed in the provided information, the focus is on providing a stable and managed residential setting for manufactured homes. Manufactured homes within the community would typically offer standard residential features including multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, and living areas, varying in size and layout depending on the specific model. The community's location in Chesapeake ensures that residents have access to the city's various amenities and services. However, it is important to acknowledge that the subjective experiences of residents can vary, as indicated by the contrasting reviews regarding neighborly interactions and property upkeep. The provision of a managed environment for manufactured homes in a suburban setting is the core offering of Homecrest Mobile Home Community.
For individuals searching within the "RV Parks Near Me" platform category, it is vital to understand that Homecrest Mobile Home Community is fundamentally a residential community for manufactured homes, designed for long-term living, not for transient RV stays. Therefore, if your search on "RV Parks Near Me" is for a temporary camping spot, a quick overnight stop for your RV, or a recreational vehicle hook-up, Homecrest Mobile Home Community would not be the appropriate destination. Its "promotional" appeal is directed towards those seeking to purchase or long-term rent a manufactured home and establish a permanent residence in Chesapeake, Virginia. The community aims to provide a stable and, for many, a positive living environment with "excellent neighbors." While specific promotional materials beyond basic contact information are not provided, the general appeal of such a community lies in its affordability relative to other housing options in the area, and the sense of community that can develop among long-term residents. Given the mixed nature of the reviews, particularly regarding individual resident behavior and property maintenance, prospective residents interested in long-term manufactured home living at Homecrest Mobile Home Community should contact the management directly at (757) 543-1115 or +1 757-543-1115. It is strongly advised to inquire about available lots, home sales or rentals, lease terms, and to schedule a visit to the community. Visiting in person would allow potential residents to assess the overall environment, the condition of common areas, and potentially speak with current residents to gain a more comprehensive and realistic understanding of daily life within the community before making a long-term commitment. This due diligence is crucial to ensure the community aligns with individual expectations for a residential setting.

Homecrest Mobile Home Community Reviews
People here were mean. I got yelled at trying to pass out a coupon for my dad's lawn care service. Sorry you thought I was your grandson who never visits you because your house smells like old tuna cans and your lawn is a disaster cause you won't let anyone cut it. No, I don't want to try your pumpkin and chicken liver brownies. Maybe if you were nicer, your family would stop by more often.

Jan 18, 2025 · Benito MartinezLove this community. Cant wait for pool to open. This community is safe, my kids ride their bikes from one end to the other with no worries. A lot of good families living here. Management is a bit strict on rules, but I don't have a bit of problem with that. Keep the community looking nice and clean. One of the best trailer parks in this area.
Apr 25, 2018 · Med AscoI lived here for 2 years. It was a decent park. Very strict on their rules (not always a bad thing, but still) I was most disappointed that when I bought the trailer when I asked about a fence, I was told by Alex it could be discussed. But when the time came to sign the lease, it stated no fences were permitted. (Downside if you have dogs, or if your neighbors have dogs that they let run fee) I did get upset when the tow company towed my car a few times and I had to pay the company to get my car back, even with having current tags and the parking sticker on it. The main thing that I was upset with is that after leaving the property and home in better condition than I when I purchased it, I never received my deposit back. I asked Alex about it several times and was told he was "processing it". But a few months later of being told the same thing, I was finally told "I took too long to request it and there for I forfeited my deposit".
Oct 13, 2022 · Erica ThomasManager is the opitime of rude and arrogant. They wanted me to remove a fence on my lot I didn't even put up. They did basically nothing to improve the streets while I lived there. Giant potholes and my yard would turn into a lake during storms. They never should have put a trailer there. Just the yards near the creek would flood due to the location. Power went out all the time, sometimes for days. My neighbors were the nosiest people on earth. Kept jacking up the lot rent every year. I lived there 10 years. Rent went from 375 a month to 595 and they did nothing to improve the place. They started paying for the water bill, so that was their reason for the rent hikes, but 220.00 increase for water bill is ridiculous for one person. I even had energy saver faucets. Good thing about the place is the location. Close to everything and relatively quiet. Has a fence around it which probably helps keep some people out at night. Hence less noise. There is a pool which is nice, but there is always massive amounts of kids there so you're probably swimming in urine, overall Sturbridge next door seems much better in my opinion. Sturbridge lot rent is a little higher but the park is better. No speed bumps and the RV lot makes up for that. You can see from some of the management responses here that they are nasty people in the office. I moved out over 6 years ago now so I'm guessing the lot rent is over 700.00 a month by now. I don't know if the management is the same as when I lived there 7 years ago. The second in command back then was fine, but the manager needs to be god blessed, as he loves to answer people in these comments, with contempt I'm sure. He needs all the help he can get. From the pictures I saw below they finally fixed ALL the roads instead of just around the entrance and office like when I lived there.
