Woodshire Estates Mobile Home Park Introduce
Welcome to a comprehensive overview of Woodshire Estates Mobile Home Park, a residential community situated at 3224 S Military Hwy, Chesapeake, VA 23323, USA. While the 'RV Parks Near Me' category often caters to temporary recreational vehicle stays, mobile home parks like Woodshire Estates primarily serve as long-term residential communities for manufactured homes. This introduction aims to provide local users with objective insights into the park's environment, services, perceived features, and the varied, sometimes concerning, experiences reported by its residents, based on publicly available information.
Woodshire Estates Mobile Home Park is located in Chesapeake, Virginia, a city that blends suburban areas with more rural and industrial sections. Its address on S Military Hwy places it on a significant thoroughfare, suggesting accessibility to commercial areas and main roads. The immediate environment of the park would typically consist of a grid of individual mobile home lots, with internal roads. The overall setting in Chesapeake can vary, but generally, this region is characterized by flat terrain, with a mix of residential developments, commercial zones, and some natural waterways or green belts. For individuals searching 'RV Parks Near Me' with a view towards long-term residency, the location in Chesapeake offers proximity to regional employment centers and amenities, while the park itself defines the immediate living environment.
The services provided at a mobile home park usually encompass lot rentals, utility hookups (water, sewer, electricity), and general maintenance of common areas. The customer reviews for Woodshire Estates, however, reveal significant issues and inconsistencies regarding the actual delivery and perception of these services and community management. One reviewer states that "The ppl that own it are nice and will work with you," which suggests a degree of flexibility and approachability from the ownership. This is a positive attribute for residents who may occasionally need understanding or assistance from their landlords.
However, this positive aspect is heavily contrasted by a litany of concerns raised by the same reviewer regarding daily living conditions and park management's effectiveness. The reviewer reports being "tired of the loud music and parties and drama and cops called out I guess for the drunks." This indicates a significant issue with noise control and potentially disruptive behavior within the community, impacting the peace and quiet expected in a residential area. Furthermore, "ppl drive very fast in the neighborhood and I'm afraid to get a bike for my kids cuz of the driving is crazy... especially Devonshire where the park is." This highlights a serious safety concern regarding speeding vehicles within the park, particularly for families with children. The lack of infrastructure maintenance is also noted: "the street lights have been out for years," which directly impacts safety and visibility, especially at night. "Huge pot holes in the streets" further compound infrastructure issues, potentially damaging vehicles and posing hazards.
Other environmental and nuisance issues include "roosters going off all the time" and "ppl throw trash down in the yards and don't clean it up." The reviewer specifically points out that "cleaning doesn't apply to the ppl in the back of the trailer park cuz those yards are a complete dump." This suggests inconsistent enforcement of community standards regarding cleanliness and property upkeep across different sections of the park. The desire for "curbs to keep ppl from driving all over the grass" indicates a lack of defined boundaries and potential damage to common areas.
A significant part of the review focuses on the park's pet policy and enforcement of rules. The reviewer states that management "does nothing about the dogs that roam around everywhere taking a crap in ppls yards & they don't care about leash laws or ppl keeping the dogs in a fenced in yard!" Even more concerning, "some of the dogs that roam around run up on you barking and chasing the kids acting like they are gonna bite you!!" This represents a major safety and sanitation issue, particularly for families. Compounding this, the reviewer was "write me up for having 3 cars and I had to get rid of 1 of my vehicles but every other trailer has multiple vehicles all parked in the grass but I get a ticket for it." This leads to the critical observation that "the rules do not apply to everyone in the trailer park and it shows !!! They pick and choose who they want to write up! They need to set the same rules for everyone or none !" This allegation of inconsistent and unfair rule enforcement is a serious concern for equity and resident satisfaction. Finally, the presence of "a lot of unhealthy strays cats stinky up the trailer park" points to unaddressed animal welfare issues and further sanitation problems.
A second, shorter review offers a somewhat different perspective, stating, "I like that the property owners make sure everyone keeps up with their yard and trailer. Its makes the trailer park look nice." This contradicts the first review's complaint about inconsistent yard cleanliness, suggesting that some effort is made in this regard, or that experiences vary greatly. However, this reviewer also notes that "The property managements customer service needs improvement though. Also it would be nice if they had a office that was closer and not located 30 mins away." This points to a practical issue with management accessibility and responsiveness, which can impact problem resolution and general resident support.
The features of Woodshire Estates Mobile Home Park, therefore, appear to be a mix of foundational elements and significant operational challenges. On the positive side, the ownership is described as "nice" and "will work with you," suggesting a degree of understanding. Some effort is made to encourage residents to maintain their yards, which can contribute to the park's aesthetic. However, the prevailing features highlighted by resident feedback include:
- Inconsistent Enforcement of Rules: Particularly concerning noise, speeding, vehicle parking, and pet policies.
- Safety Concerns: Including fast-driving vehicles, unlit streets, and aggressive roaming dogs.
- Infrastructure Issues: Such as non-functional streetlights and large potholes.
- Sanitation and Nuisance Problems: Ranging from uncleaned trash and roaming animals to noisy roosters and unhealthy stray cats.
- Accessibility of Management: An office located 30 minutes away and perceived lacking customer service.
For promotional information on a 'RV Parks Near Me' platform, specifically for long-term residential inquiries, it is crucial to present a balanced view. While a mobile home in Chesapeake offers a housing option, potential residents need to be fully aware of the reported challenges. The park could be presented as having amenable ownership willing to work with residents on individual issues, and that some effort is made to maintain yard aesthetics. However, transparently, it is also important to address the substantial concerns regarding community safety, noise, pet management, infrastructure maintenance, and inconsistent rule enforcement.
Prospective residents searching for 'RV Parks Near Me' with a view towards permanent living at Woodshire Estates should undertake extensive due diligence. This would ideally involve:
- Visiting the Park at Different Times: To observe traffic patterns, noise levels, and overall atmosphere.
- Speaking with Multiple Residents: To gather diverse perspectives on living conditions and management responsiveness.
- Contacting Local Authorities: Inquiring about any reported issues related to safety, animal control, or code violations within the park.
- Clarifying Park Rules and Enforcement: Directly with management (phone: (757) 875-2392 or +1 757-875-2392) to understand policies on vehicles, pets, noise, and how rules are consistently applied.
- Inspecting Potential Lots/Homes: To assess the condition of utilities, streetlights, and overall cleanliness in the specific area of interest.
The presence of unaddressed issues suggests that while an affordable housing option might be available, it may come with significant trade-offs in terms of quality of life and safety. Therefore, a comprehensive and cautious approach is recommended for anyone considering Woodshire Estates Mobile Home Park as their next long-term residence.

The ppl that own it are nice and will work with you but tired of the loud music and parties and drama and cops called out I guess for the drunks ....ppl drive very fast in the neighborhood and I'm afraid to get a bike for my kids cuz of the driving is crazy ... especially Devonshire where the park is ...the street lights have been out for years ....there's only 2 bus stops in the whole park so you have to drive to hedi to get your kids on and off the bus ,...there roosters going off all the time ...ppl throw trash down in the yards and don't clean it up....seems cleaning doesn't apply to the ppl in the back of the trailer park cuz those yards are a complete dump...would love to see curbs to keep ppl from driving all over the grass...I'm editing my review because the trailer park does nothing about the speeding !! Does nothing about the dogs that roam around everywhere taking a crap in ppls yards & they don't care about leash laws or ppl keeping the dogs in a fenced in yard! Not to mentionsome of the dogs that roam around run up on you barking and chasing the kids acting like they are gonna bite you!! They write me up for having 3 cars and I had to get rid of 1 of my vehicles but every other trailer has multiple vehicles all parked in the grass but I get a ticket for it 🙄 the rules do not apply to everyone in the trailer park and it shows !!! Jan 04, 2019 · raven mI think this place needs a small play area for kids because there is nothing to entertain toddlers. They need to change the light bulbs on the street poles because some have been off for a long time. Also I think there should be something for kids to stand to wait for the school busses because it brakes my heart how they wait in the inclement weather specially when it gets flooded.
Jan 17, 2020 · Sonia SortoWell... I live here, so.... I think it's pretty cozy, nice neighbors and all that good stuff. There's a bunch of cute, trashy kitties that just roam around, so yeah...
Jun 03, 2018 · Victoria SundVery clean and maintenance is kept up very well but the only issue that I have is that they don't have a playground for the children and there are quite a bit of children that live in that trailer park would love to see a playground set put up for the children for the mothers who do not have transportation and cannot drive their children to other parks
