Hoodoo's Patio RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Blue River, Oregon area, Hoodoo's Patio RV Park, located at 55636 McKenzie River Dr, is an option that appears. However, it is imperative to carefully consider the available online reviews, which raise serious concerns about the park's condition, facilities, and overall environment. Potential visitors should be aware of these issues before deciding to stay at Hoodoo's Patio RV Park.
One reviewer provides a detailed and critical assessment of the park, starting with the initial impression upon arrival. They describe the property as resembling a "homeless camp," noting that the RVs present appear to be very old and that the structures, specifically carports, seem outdated. Moving to the riverfront area where their sites were located, the reviewer observed a lack of cleanup. While there was a concrete slab, the actual sites were described as dirt, raising concerns about muddy conditions in rainy weather. This reviewer concluded that the location has the potential to be a nice campground but would require significant time and labor for improvement.
Another review highlights issues with the park's facilities, stating that "the laundry never works and the water is always cold." This suggests significant problems with basic amenities that are typically expected in an RV park, potentially causing considerable inconvenience for guests, especially those planning longer stays. A subsequent update from the same reviewer, three weeks later, indicates a lack of attention to these issues, as they noted that "the laundry machine coin boxes are still full," implying that the malfunctioning laundry facility had not been addressed.
Most alarmingly, a review includes serious allegations regarding the social environment of the park. This reviewer claims that "meth is plentiful as is racism." They explicitly advise against visiting if you are a woman or a person of color. These are extremely serious accusations that raise significant safety and ethical concerns for potential visitors. Such claims, if accurate, would create a hostile and unwelcoming environment for a significant portion of the population.
Given these overwhelmingly negative reviews, it is impossible to objectively describe positive aspects of the park's environment, services, or features based on the available information. The feedback consistently points to a run-down and poorly maintained facility with potentially unsafe and discriminatory social conditions. The description of the entrance as resembling a "homeless camp" suggests a lack of aesthetic appeal and potentially raises concerns about the overall upkeep and management of the property. The dirt sites by the river further indicate a lack of investment in basic infrastructure for RV guests.
The reviews directly mention the malfunctioning laundry facilities and the issue of cold water, indicating a failure to provide essential services in working order. The serious allegations of drug presence and racism within the park create a deeply concerning picture of the social environment, suggesting a potentially unsafe and unwelcoming atmosphere for many individuals.
There is no promotional information available for Hoodoo's Patio RV Park in the provided data. Given the severity of the negative feedback, it is highly unlikely that the park is currently engaged in active promotion. Any potential rates or policies would need to be obtained through direct contact, but the strong warnings from previous guests should be carefully considered before making any inquiries or reservations.
In conclusion, the online reviews for Hoodoo's Patio RV Park in Blue River, Oregon, paint a deeply troubling picture. The park is described as run-down, poorly maintained, and lacking in essential amenities such as working laundry facilities and reliable hot water. Most concerning are the serious allegations of prevalent drug use and racism within the park, with a direct warning against visiting for women and people of color. Potential individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in the Blue River area are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and thoroughly consider these significant negative reports before even considering a stay at Hoodoo's Patio RV Park. The available information suggests that this park may offer a substandard and potentially unsafe environment for visitors.

Hoodoo's Patio RV Park Reviews
The place is run down. When you first pull onto the property it looks like a homeless camp the RV's are all very old the structures ( carports look they were built in the 50's. When you get down to the river where our sites were, nothing had been cleaned up, there's a concrete slab, but the sites are all dirt, so if it rained everything would be muddy.... This could be a very nice campground, but It would take time and labor.

Oct 08, 2024 · Levi SimmonsIt is a total dump. We were told our 44 ft. Camper would fit. When we got there we found out it would not fit. I called asking if they would refund our money. Not only did I not hear back from them, but they kept our money. Very dishonest people.
Jul 07, 2024 · Donna HaugheyWe loved staying here in our travel camper on the McKenzie River. I mean we stayed right on the river. We could hear the rushing river and it was so soothing. Nice and clean restrooms and showers.Wonderful lady who runs the office. Very accommodating and kind.
Sep 20, 2022 · Karen CorriganThe front of the camp ground is long term if not permanent residents. Lots of clutter and miscellaneous items. Looks like stuff that just doesn't fit into their trailer and made its way to their covered area (near their trailers).Everyone kept to themselves, not much chatting going on with nearby "campers". The level we were on, just above the level near the River wasn't terrible. I liked it because we were a little further from the strong flowing river with our 2 little boys. It is beautiful and sounds awesome, but just to play it safe with the young ones I would recommend the spots on the level right above the river front. The spots near the water look really nice. You would be able to hear the River from your camp spot. These spots had fire pits. Our spot looked like it was there at one point, but wasn't there any longer.Very limited cell signal here.Camp ground said their wifi was down, she mentioned it would be back up the next day, but it never was during or stay. That would have made it a little better to have connection to the world (as I am working on the road). Our spot was unique, the power and water were on the same side, if you back in they would be on the passenger side and the sewer didnt have a good connection so I located a nearby stump to weigh it down. That was on the drivers side (again if you back into the space). They offer a cable box at check in, which we didnt use that came with a coax cable and HDMI. (again, wifi would have solved this instead of taking these items that look like they are in a reusable bag).Overall, the views are awesome, being that close to the water is awesome and I didnt feel unsafe, just a little unique of a spot. They did offer good sam and the lady was very nice to call and check on our good sam membership number. The common room (they call the friendship room) that looks like a living room appeared closed for now (covid) and the laundry was open, but we did not use. The bathrooms were closed (covid).
