Located at 2770 Crossroads Blvd, Grand Junction, CO 81506, USA, Horizon RV Park has quickly established itself as a welcoming and accommodating destination, even while still undergoing expansion. This introduction aims to provide a detailed and objective overview of the park, encompassing its environment, services, features, and promotional highlights, drawing directly from recent customer experiences and publicly available information.
The environment at Horizon RV Park is a significant draw, earning high praise from visitors. Even amidst ongoing construction, the landscape is noted as "well kept," adding a "nice comfortable touch." This attention to grounds maintenance, even during development, speaks to the park's commitment to creating a pleasant atmosphere. A standout feature of the environment is the "amazing views" it offers, encompassing the majestic Bookcliffs, the expansive Grand Mesa, and the iconic Colorado National Monument. These breathtaking vistas provide a stunning backdrop for any RV stay, whether for a single night or an extended period. The location itself is described as "ideal for accessing the city of Grand Junction," suggesting convenient proximity to local attractions, services, and amenities. Furthermore, the park is designed to feel "spacious and do not feel cramped at all," a crucial environmental factor for RV travelers who appreciate ample room around their rigs. This spaciousness ensures a comfortable and relaxing stay, differentiating it from more tightly packed alternatives that might appear in "RV Parks Near Me" searches.
Horizon RV Park excels in its provision of services, which are consistently highlighted as modern, clean, and well-appointed. A key service amenity is the "very nice and clean bathroom," which guests have found to be exceptionally well-maintained. Complementing this, the park offers "the most affordable park shower" a reviewer had encountered, suggesting a cost-effective and practical solution for travelers. This focus on cleanliness and affordability for essential services is a significant benefit. All sites at Horizon RV Park are described as "full hook up sights," meaning they provide water, sewer, and electrical connections, a fundamental requirement for most RVers. While a "hot water charge" is noted, one reviewer, even as a fellow park owner, considered it a "great idea," implying it's a reasonable and understandable charge in the context of park operations. The park's contact information is (970) 985-2105, and the mobile number is +1 970-985-2105, ensuring easy access for reservations and inquiries. The responsiveness and hospitality of the staff are frequently praised, with guests noting the "hospitality they have waiting for you when you arrive." This dedication to guest satisfaction contributes significantly to the overall positive service experience at Horizon RV Park.
The features of Horizon RV Park are designed to accommodate a wide range of RVs and enhance the guest experience. The sites are remarkably "convenient to pull into with room to accommodate any rig you could legally travel with." This ease of access and generous space is a crucial feature for drivers of large Class A motorhomes, 5th wheels, and other extensive setups. For example, a 40’ Class A motorhome had "no problem with leveling" on Site #1, even with an airbag leveling system, indicating well-prepared and level sites. While a dog park was "still under construction" at the time of one review, plans for one are in place, and importantly, there are "a ton of walking trails just outside the park along the canal that is a great place to walk the dogs." This existing natural amenity provides an immediate and excellent alternative for pet owners. Another unique feature is the observable family effort in building the park, which creates a sense of passion and dedication, contributing to the park's positive atmosphere. The vision and hard work of the owners in "building their dream" are evident, suggesting continuous improvements and a commitment to quality. The park is also designed to be ADA compliant, ensuring accessibility for all guests. Currently, Horizon RV Park offers 24 fully equipped spaces, with additional ones planned for completion, including pull-through spaces. The park is family-owned and operated, a detail that often translates to a more personal and attentive approach to guest service.
From a promotional standpoint, Horizon RV Park leverages its strong customer satisfaction and unique attributes. The glowing testimonials about hospitality, cleanliness, spacious sites, and stunning views serve as compelling endorsements. The phrase "My first stop when I got into Colorado and I couldn’t be happier" speaks volumes about the positive first impression the park makes. The promise of return visits, "we will be back again if you have spots available," indicates high guest loyalty and a strong desire to revisit. Even though the park was "still under construction" during some stays, the transparent and dedicated effort of the family building it was seen as "an awesome sight to see," turning a potential negative into a promotional highlight. While one reviewer found the "price per night is a bit steep," they also opined that it "won’t hinder business in the long run," suggesting that the value proposition of the park, encompassing its amenities, location, and service, justifies the cost for many. The acceptance of long-term stays, especially in climates with winter conditions, is also a subtle promotional point, catering to a specific segment of the RV community. The overall narrative presented by satisfied customers strongly positions Horizon RV Park as a premium choice among "RV Parks Near Me" in Grand Junction, appealing to those who value quality, spaciousness, and a welcoming environment, even as it continues to grow and enhance its offerings.

Horizon RV Park | Grand Junction, CO Reviews
My first stop when I got into Colorado and I couldn’t be happier with the hospitality they have waiting for you when you arrive.A very nice and clean bathroom with the most affordable park shower I have come across. The park is really convenient to pull into with room to accommodate any rig you could legally travel with.Landscape is well kept it adds a nice comfortable touch if you’re staying long enough to setup the picnic table or just for one night.
Jan 20, 2025 · Tim WootanThe location of the park is ideal for accessing the city of Grand junction, the sites are very spacious and do not feel cramped at all, every sight is a full hook up sight the amenities are well appointed and if I was the park owner I think the hot water charge is a great idea. We stayed at sight #1 and have a 40’ Class A and had no problem with leveling and we are on an air bag leveling system. The Park was still under construction for our stay but to watch the entire family literally build the park together was an awesome sight to see. The only reason I give 4 stars is I believe the price per night is a bit steep, but also in my opinion that won’t hinder business in the long run. I’m not a Park snob and do not criticize a Park for allowing long term stays, especially in climates with winter conditions when traveling slows dramatically. There was only one questionable looking rig there but anyone with RV knowledge would also know even though the Country Coach Prevost conversion bus that was there needed a little TLC that rig carries more value than any 5th wheel or bumper pull plastic wagon around. It looks like they will have the other sights open this year probably by summers end or even sooner. Currently there was no dog park as they do have plans to build, but there is a ton of walking trails just outside the park along the canal that is a great place to walk the dogs. Also the views are amazing you have the bookcliffs, the Grand Mesa, and the Colorado National Monument. They all work hard on building their dream and you could see the passion in their vision coming together. Great work, beautiful park, we will be back again if you have spots available.😉
May 03, 2025 · Jeremy ClarkBe aware, travelers:1) This park is designed mostly for long-term residents, not travelers.2) The park requires QUARTERS to use hot water in the bathroom showers. Hot water is not free/included with the $65/night fee.3) There is no dump station in the park. Each site has a capped hole to which you can connect a hose, similar to a residential septic access. The park is convenient to I-70, but located in an office park surrounded on all sides by either buildings or city streets. It allows pets, but there’s not an area for them to play. The three-star rating reflects that none of this info is disclosed on the website. We were traveling through Grand Junction with 3 dogs and while the site worked for one night, I would have chosen a more suitable recreation RV site if the website offered a more accurate description.
Feb 25, 2025 · Virginia St. JohnHorizon RV Park is in a great location right off of I-70 and has surprisingly spacious lots. I would highly recommend this park if you’re just passing through Grand Junction or planning to stay a while.
Oct 28, 2024 · Jamin WrightGreat spot with easy access for a 29ft pull behind. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. There is a gym across the road and a side by side rental place just up the road. Also, great bathrooms with showers!
