Country Meadow Mobile Home Park Introduce
Local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Grand Junction, Colorado area might come across Country Meadow Mobile Home Park, located at 2853 Mesa Ave, Grand Junction, CO 81501, USA. While the platform category suggests RV accommodations, the name indicates a mobile home park, which typically offers longer-term residency for manufactured homes. The limited online reviews provide a mixed perspective on the community and its amenities, which potential local residents should carefully consider.
One review presents a highly negative portrayal of Country Meadow Mobile Home Park, strongly advising others to "stay away." This reviewer characterizes the community as a "Horrible place if you like drug dealer, tweekers, and slumlord landlords that donsnt fix anything." These are serious allegations, suggesting potential issues with crime, substance abuse, and neglectful property management. The term "slumlord landlords that donsnt fix anything" indicates significant concerns about the maintenance of the park and the responsiveness of the landlords to residents' needs. This strongly negative feedback should be a major point of consideration for anyone contemplating residency at Country Meadow Mobile Home Park.
In contrast, another review offers a more specific, albeit still somewhat critical, perspective focusing on the park's playground facilities. This reviewer mentions using Country Meadow Mobile Home Park as a backup option when "Rocket Park is super busy," implying that there are recreational facilities within the mobile home park that are accessible to the public or at least known to those in the vicinity. The review notes the presence of "two small sets of play equipment," one for children aged 5-12 years and another for those aged 2-5 years, which the reviewer found to be the "Perfect size for my kiddo." This suggests that Country Meadow Mobile Home Park does offer some family-friendly amenities, specifically playgrounds for different age groups.
The description of the smaller playground includes "2 slides, a small rock wallfort, steering wheels and peg board clim up," indicating a variety of features designed to engage young children. However, the reviewer also points out that the equipment "Could use a up date...slides where really sun faded," suggesting that the playground may be aging and in need of maintenance or replacement. This aligns with the negative review's implication of neglectful landlords.
Further concerning observations from the playground review include the presence of "a piece of broken glass in the grass and dog poop on on of the slides." These findings raise serious safety and hygiene concerns, particularly for families with young children who would be using these play areas. The lack of cleanliness and potential hazards in the children's play areas could be a significant deterrent for prospective residents.
The reviewer also notes that there was "no one else there" at the playground during their visit, which could indicate low usage or potentially a less vibrant community atmosphere, though this is just a single observation at a specific time. It's important to consider that playground usage can vary depending on the time of day and year.
Considering these two reviews, Country Meadow Mobile Home Park presents a complex and potentially problematic picture. The highly negative review paints a grim scenario of crime, substance abuse, and poor management. While the second review acknowledges the presence of playgrounds suitable for young children, it also highlights issues with the age and maintenance of the equipment, as well as significant safety and hygiene concerns. These issues collectively suggest that the overall environment and upkeep of Country Meadow Mobile Home Park may be substandard.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" who might be considering a longer-term stay in a mobile home park, Country Meadow's potential drawbacks, as indicated by these reviews, warrant serious consideration. The allegations of criminal activity and neglectful landlords are particularly concerning and would necessitate thorough investigation before making any commitment to reside there.
The presence of playgrounds might be seen as a positive for families with young children, but the reported condition and safety hazards associated with them significantly diminish this appeal. The faded slides suggest prolonged lack of maintenance, and the presence of broken glass and dog waste indicates a lack of attention to cleanliness and safety in areas intended for children.
Given the limited and concerning nature of the available information, local users should proceed with extreme caution when considering Country Meadow Mobile Home Park. A thorough personal investigation is strongly recommended, including:
- **Visiting the property at different times:** Observing the community environment, the condition of the mobile homes and common areas, and the activity levels at various times of day and night could provide a better sense of the actual living conditions.
- **Attempting to speak with current residents:** If possible, engaging with current residents could offer invaluable firsthand accounts of their experiences living in the park, including their perceptions of safety, management responsiveness, and community atmosphere.
- **Contacting the local authorities:** Checking with the local police department or community services might provide insights into any reported issues or concerns related to the property.
- **Directly contacting the management:** While the negative review suggests potential issues with the landlords, attempting to communicate with the management to inquire about their maintenance practices, security measures, and community rules would be a necessary step, though the information received should be viewed critically in light of the negative feedback.
As no information is provided regarding services, features beyond the playgrounds, or any promotional offers, these would be key areas of inquiry if one chooses to contact the management. Understanding the lot rental fees, utility provisions, waste management, and any community amenities would be crucial for a comprehensive assessment.
In conclusion, the limited online reviews for Country Meadow Mobile Home Park in Grand Junction, Colorado, raise significant concerns about the safety, cleanliness, maintenance, and management of the property. While playgrounds are present, their reported condition and the presence of hazards are troubling. The strongly negative review alleging criminal activity and neglectful landlords should not be taken lightly. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" who might be considering this mobile home park for longer-term living are strongly advised to conduct a thorough and independent investigation to ascertain the current living conditions and whether this community meets their needs and safety expectations. Proceeding without such due diligence would be highly risky based on the available feedback.
