Wonderland Mobile Home And RV Park Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in the Northern California region, particularly around the popular Shasta Lake area, Wonderland Mobile Home And RV Park often appears on the radar. Located at 15203 Wonderland Blvd, Redding, CA 96003, USA, this park caters to both mobile home residents and RV travelers. For inquiries or reservations, you can reach them at (530) 248-3206 or via mobile at +1 530-248-3206. As with any accommodation, experiences can vary, and it's essential to consider various perspectives when making a decision.
The park's location in Redding offers a strategic advantage for those looking to explore the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of the region, especially Shasta Lake. While it may not be a bustling hub of activities directly on-site, its proximity to attractions makes it a convenient "home base" for adventurers. This positions Wonderland Mobile Home And RV Park as a practical choice for visitors whose primary goal is to venture out and discover the surrounding areas.
Regarding the environment, one recent review offers a positive perspective, noting that the RV park section was "pretty and quiet." This suggests a peaceful atmosphere conducive to relaxation after a day of exploration. The presence of trees for shade at each RV spot is a significant environmental benefit, especially during warmer months, providing comfort and a more natural feel. Furthermore, the RV spots are described as "level enough gravel," which is a practical detail that contributes to ease of setup for RVers, often negating the need for manual leveling. The sighting of a "sheep cruising in a field" also paints a picture of a more rural, tranquil setting, adding to the charm for some visitors.
However, it's important to acknowledge that the park operates as both an RV park and a mobile home park, and experiences may differ between these two sections. The positive review specifically refers to the RV Park section as "peaceful, clean and safe," indicating a generally well-maintained and secure environment for RV guests. This objective assessment of the RV area's conditions is crucial for potential visitors.
In terms of services, Wonderland Mobile Home And RV Park provides essential amenities for RVers. One highlight mentioned by a recent guest is the Wi-Fi connectivity. The review states that the "WiFi worked better than at many other highly rated campgrounds and RV parks I've visited." This is a significant advantage, especially for guests who require reliable internet for remote work, video calls, or general connectivity. In today's digital age, strong and consistent Wi-Fi is a highly sought-after amenity for RV travelers, and Wonderland appears to deliver on this front. Additionally, the park offers laundry facilities, which are described as "clean and functional," providing convenience for longer stays. The showers, while noted as "a bit dated," were found to be "definitely clean with hot water and good water pressure," meeting the fundamental requirements for comfortable personal hygiene.
The management and customer service also appear to be a key aspect of the park's offerings, particularly under what is described as "new ownership." While the office may not always be staffed in person, the system for checking in, involving calling a number on the door, seems efficient. The manager is noted as being "very friendly and helpful," which contributes positively to the overall guest experience. Prompt and courteous assistance from management can significantly enhance a stay, even if initial entry seems a little unconventional.
The features of Wonderland Mobile Home And RV Park that stand out include its affordability, as mentioned by both reviews, though with differing perspectives on its overall value. For budget-conscious travelers searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a reasonable price point, this could be a major draw. The individual RV spots come equipped with trees for shade and a picnic table, enhancing the outdoor living experience for guests. The level gravel pads are also a practical feature, simplifying the setup process for RVs. The park's quiet nature makes it suitable for those seeking a tranquil retreat, though perhaps less ideal for families with young children looking for extensive on-site recreational activities, as noted by one reviewer who stated it's "not a place for kids because there is not a lot for them to do." This objectivity helps manage expectations for different types of travelers.
Regarding promotional information, the most compelling aspect comes from the positive recent review. The friend's recommendation due to proximity to attractions and "reasonable price" serves as direct word-of-mouth promotion. The positive experience under "new ownership" is a crucial piece of information, suggesting that prior negative feedback might be outdated. This effectively promotes the park by addressing past concerns and highlighting current improvements. The emphasis on good Wi-Fi, cleanliness, and a quiet atmosphere also serves as promotional points for specific demographics of RVers. While there are no explicit discounts or special offers mentioned, the value proposition of a clean, safe, and connected base camp at an affordable rate is itself a strong promotional message.
However, it is essential to present a balanced view. One older, very negative review contrasts sharply with the recent positive experience. This review, though potentially pre-dating the "new ownership," raises concerns about "hypocrite homeowners," issues with "smoking weed on the job," attempts to "make people paid more," and discrepancies regarding animal policies ("animals up to 25 lbs" versus "fully service animals only"). While this review specifically points to a "worst place to live at" and recommends living "somewhere else," its age and the subsequent positive review under new management suggest that conditions or management practices may have changed. For potential long-term mobile home residents, these past concerns might warrant further investigation or direct inquiry with the current management to ensure clarity on policies and living conditions. For RVers, the more recent positive experience seems to provide a more accurate picture of the current RV park offerings.
In conclusion, Wonderland Mobile Home And RV Park, located at 15203 Wonderland Blvd, Redding, CA 96003, and contactable at (530) 248-3206 or +1 530-248-3206, is a viable option for those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Redding/Shasta Lake area. Its environment offers peaceful, shaded, and level RV spots, creating a comfortable setting. Key services include notably strong and reliable Wi-Fi, along with clean and functional laundry and shower facilities. Its features are highlighted by its affordability, a quiet atmosphere suitable for adults, and its strategic location as a base for exploring regional attractions. The park appears to have benefited from new ownership, addressing some prior concerns and enhancing the guest experience, particularly for RVers seeking a clean, safe, and connected stop on their journey.

Wonderland Mobile Home And RV Park Reviews
We found Wonderland RV Park through a friend who recommended it because it was close to things we wanted to do and a reasonable price. I was hesitant to stay here after reading the reviews but they were older. Also, my friend said it was under new ownership. My experience was not negative at all! I will admit we drove right past the entrance at first. The sign could be easier to see. The RV spots all had trees for shade, a picnic table and were level enough gravel that we didn't use our levelers. No one was in the office, but a resident drove by and said to go ahead an call the number on the door because the managers live on the premises. We did and were registered in no time. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The WiFi worked better than at many other highly rated campgrounds and RV parks I've visited. That was important to me as I have video calls and remote work. The showers were a bit dated but were definitely clean with hot water and good water pressure. The laundry facilities were clean and functional too. It was pretty and quiet and I even saw a sheep cruising in a field. I did not walk the Mobile Home area but the RV Park was peaceful, clean and safe. I wouldn't say it is a place for kids because there is not a lot for them to do but it's perfect for a home base from which to go exploring the Shasta Lake area.
Jul 29, 2021 · Regina AThis is the worst place to live at. Yes it is affordable but not good living. The homeowners are hypocrite and they are smoking weed on the job. They tried to make people paid more. On lease it says animals up to 25 lbs but the homeowners wants fully service animals only. This is the worst place I have even lived in. I do recommend you to live somewhere else.
Jul 26, 2022 · Felicia DietzThe property is not kept up like it should be, all the dead trees in the park have caused damage to some of the residents trailers in the camping and mobile home park. They still have not repaired a damaged roof that there trees have caused to a home owner in the park. The roof has been damaged for over two years now and still no effort on the park to fix the home owners roof. I have seen people try and rent a space in the camping section and have to leave because they can't find management. The managers are unfriendly and don't know what they are doing. The camping section has lost power to at least half of the spaces. I would not suggest on bring kids here due to some of the residents that live there.
Oct 20, 2023 · Maria Angel CastilloMy stay here has been a nightmare. I've been assulted which lead to restraining orders. There is good and bad. That's the worst ! I'm lucky in the spot that I'm in a good spot and I have a good view. The rent is better than an apartment in town. Plus not living in town is great. I've lived in worse places !!!
May 14, 2021 · Suzu Gates McCaigThe managers mess up on the meter readings every month and force people to pay the wrong readings. The residents have to pay for any damages that the trees and stuff causes to the homes. The property is not taken care of properly. If the managers don't like what your talking to them about than they will get in your face and yell at you. none of the residents get there climate change from the power due to the managers. The property is a fire hazard during the summer because of all the dry brush and dead trees. They wrongfully allow other tenants to cause problems with other tenants. on occasion the mangers smell like pot while they are out dealing with tenants. this is a family park now but not good to have children around due to the pot smocking and there are tenants that live there on the Megan list.
