Fawndale Oaks RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Fawndale Oaks RV Park, located at 15015 Fawndale Rd in Redding, California. For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' that offer a comfortable and welcoming experience, Fawndale Oaks RV Park stands out as a highly recommended option based on recent customer reviews. This introduction will detail the environment, services, features, and implicitly positive aspects of this RV park.
The environment of Fawndale Oaks RV Park is characterized by the presence of "beautiful older oak trees," which provide "many spots" with ample shade. This natural setting suggests a cool and pleasant atmosphere, particularly during the warmer months in Redding, CA. The abundance of mature trees not only offers practical benefits like shade but also contributes to the aesthetic appeal and tranquility of the park, creating a more natural and less stark camping environment compared to some other RV parks.
In terms of services, one short-term visitor specifically noted "good water pressure," which is an essential aspect of comfort and convenience for RV travelers. Reliable water pressure ensures a better experience for showering, dishwashing, and other water-related needs within their RVs. This positive mention indicates that Fawndale Oaks RV Park pays attention to the functionality of its basic utilities.
A significant feature of Fawndale Oaks RV Park, consistently praised by a long-term resident, is the exceptional management provided by Shannon and Cary. They are described as "really salt of the earth kind of people," conveying a sense of genuine kindness and integrity. The reviewer further states, "You can tell they are doing what they love and it shows in how they conduct their business." This level of dedication and passion from the owners often translates to a well-run and guest-focused park.
The positive impact of Shannon and Cary's management is evident in the reviewer's overall experience during their monthly rental. They express that the only reason they would consider leaving is due to external factors like work or school relocating them from the area, strongly implying a high level of satisfaction with the park itself. This long-term positive experience speaks volumes about the consistent quality and welcoming atmosphere of Fawndale Oaks RV Park.
Another noteworthy feature is the park's policy regarding older RV rigs. Fawndale Oaks RV Park has a general guideline of preferring RVs that are 10 model years or newer for monthly spaces. However, they demonstrate flexibility by being "willing to examine on a case by case basis" if they are comfortable accepting an older unit. This willingness to consider individual circumstances, especially for RV owners with well-maintained older rigs that are not an "eyesore," sets Fawndale Oaks apart from parks with rigid age restrictions. It indicates a management approach that values individual assessment over blanket rules, fostering a more inclusive environment for a wider range of RV travelers.
The long-term resident also highlights the management's commitment to maintaining the park and ensuring a "nice, safe, park to enjoy" for all tenants. They appreciate that while Shannon and Cary are "wonderful and friendly folk," they are also proactive in doing what is necessary to uphold the standards of the park. This balance of friendliness and diligence in management is crucial for creating a positive and well-maintained living environment within an RV community.
Considering the platform category of 'RV parks near me,' Fawndale Oaks RV Park offers a compelling package for both short-term and potentially long-term stays in Redding, CA. The shaded sites under beautiful oak trees create a pleasant and comfortable environment. The good water pressure is a practical benefit appreciated by RVers. Most importantly, the consistently praised friendly and effective management by Shannon and Cary contributes significantly to the positive atmosphere and well-being of the park's guests.
While specific promotional offers are not mentioned in the provided reviews, the overwhelmingly positive testimonials themselves serve as strong implicit promotions. The repeated emphasis on the kindness and warmth of the management, the appealing natural environment with shaded sites, and the park's commitment to maintenance and safety are all compelling reasons for local users to consider Fawndale Oaks RV Park when searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Redding area. The willingness to consider older RVs on a case-by-case basis can also be seen as a unique and welcoming policy that could attract a segment of RV travelers who might be excluded by other parks.
In conclusion, Fawndale Oaks RV Park in Redding, CA, offers a welcoming and well-maintained environment under the shade of beautiful oak trees. The friendly and effective management of Shannon and Cary is a standout feature, consistently praised by both short-term and long-term visitors. The park provides essential services like good water pressure and demonstrates a flexible approach to accommodating older RVs for monthly rentals. For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' that prioritize a pleasant, safe, and well-managed experience in a naturally appealing setting, Fawndale Oaks RV Park comes highly recommended based on the positive feedback from its guests.

Fawndale Oaks RV Park Reviews
Only a short stay but good water pressure and nice people running it. I would stay again if in the area.
Mar 04, 2025 · James FreemanShannon and Cary are really salt of the earth kind of people. You can tell they are doing what they love and it shows in how they conduct their business. I appreciate the kindness and warmth they've shown me throughout the duration of my stay. I am here on a monthly rental. The only reason I would leave is if work or life/school takes me further away from the area. Many spots are very shaded and there are beautiful older oak trees here. I drive an older rig so I have had a great deal of difficulty finding places that would consider my unit since itd 25yo, which is not perfect but also not an eyesore. They do have a 10 model year or newer clause for monthly spaces, but are willing to examine on a case by case basis if they are comfortable accepting a unit. My favorite thing about this park is again, while they are wonderful and friendly folk, they don't mind doing what is needed to ensure the park is maintained and their tenants have a nice, safe, park to enjoy. Very much recommended.
Jul 23, 2023 · Amanda Eversole (Mandy)Very shady RV pull through spot that is clean. Manager was very friendly and helpful at time of booking and upon arrival. The pool looks so inviting and since it is 115 degrees outside I'm about to confirm that!
Jul 12, 2024 · Lise RogersWe needed a place to stay for a couple of nights and was really apprehensive about staying in Redding after reading the reviews about theft and security having to patrol at night. We found this place and it was just what we needed. It is right off the freeway so there is freeway noise, but not loud and intrusive. Our site was gravel and level. We had a back in site, but was able to pull in and use the site behind us to make it a pull though. The owners are very nice.
Oct 21, 2023 · Michele StroudI attempted to make a reservation for us to stay for one night with our electrical vehical. However, I was told that they do not have 30amp or 50amp plugs that can accomodate us. I am not sure why that is. Since if they can accomodate any RV, then the technology is the same. I am baffled. When I called, the person just told me to have a good day and hang up on me!! WOW!!
