Mobile City Introduce
Mobile City, situated at 2322 US-50 in Grand Junction, Colorado, is listed under the category of "RV parks near me," suggesting it offers accommodation and services for recreational vehicles. Located in Grand Junction, a city known for its proximity to outdoor attractions and as a hub for the western slope of Colorado, Mobile City benefits from a potentially convenient location for travelers exploring the region. The park can be contacted at (970) 242-9291 or +1 970-242-9291.
Based on the available reviews from actual customers, it is crucial for potential visitors to be aware of several significant concerns raised regarding the environment, management practices, and overall condition of Mobile City. These reviews paint a picture that diverges considerably from what one might typically expect from an RV park aiming to provide a comfortable and welcoming stay.
One of the most serious allegations pertains to the management's policy regarding service animals. According to one reviewer, the management "refuses to allow service animal's to reside in park. Regardless of federal and colorado state laws." If this claim is accurate, it represents a significant legal and ethical issue, as it would be in direct violation of the rights of individuals with disabilities who rely on service animals. This policy, if enforced, would severely limit accessibility for a segment of the RV traveling community and should be a primary concern for anyone traveling with a service animal.
Another significant issue highlighted in the reviews is the pervasive presence of stray cats throughout the park. One reviewer described the place as a "DUMP" that "smells like Cat Poop," stating that "cat poop everywhere," including around vehicles and near RV doors on a daily basis. The reviewer further claimed that the smell in the summer is so intense that it is almost palpable. This suggests a severe sanitation problem that could significantly impact the comfort and health of guests. The alleged attempt to cover up the issue with a layer of fresh gravel indicates a lack of effective remediation.
The overall physical condition of Mobile City is also a cause for concern, with one reviewer describing it as "shady and extremely run down." This suggests that the park may suffer from neglect and a lack of proper maintenance, potentially affecting the safety and usability of the facilities and grounds. Another reviewer noted that "weeds almost as high as the trailers in some spots," indicating a lack of landscaping and general upkeep, which contributes to a neglected appearance and could also harbor pests.
The presence of numerous stray cats also reportedly affects the pet-friendly aspects of the park. The dog park, intended as an amenity for guests traveling with dogs, is described as being "full of cat poop everywhere." This renders the dog park unusable and poses a health hazard to dogs visiting the area. The pervasive smell of cat feces even extends to the office, according to one reviewer, further underscoring the severity of the issue.
Despite these significant negative aspects, one reviewer did mention that "people are nice." However, this positive social aspect is juxtaposed with a feeling that the place is "not a safe feeling place," although the reasons for this feeling are not elaborated upon. This suggests that while interactions with other individuals in the park might be pleasant, there are underlying issues that contribute to an overall sense of unease.
The only positive attribute specifically mentioned in the reviews is the park's "location." Grand Junction's strategic position provides access to a variety of natural attractions, including the Colorado National Monument, the Grand Mesa, and numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation such as hiking, biking, and river activities. Mobile City's location on US-50, a major thoroughfare, might offer convenience in terms of access to these regional attractions and local amenities within Grand Junction itself.
However, the convenience of location must be weighed against the significant negative aspects highlighted by the reviewers. For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" based solely on proximity to attractions, it is crucial to consider the potential discomfort and health risks associated with the reported conditions at Mobile City. The issues of service animal restrictions, pervasive cat feces and odor, overgrown weeds, and a generally run-down appearance are serious detriments to a positive RV park experience.
Given the strong negative feedback regarding sanitation and management policies, potential visitors should exercise extreme caution. It would be prudent to seek alternative "RV parks near me" in the Grand Junction area that have a more positive track record regarding cleanliness, pet policies, and overall maintenance. The negative reviews raise questions about the park's adherence to basic standards of hygiene and legal compliance.
In conclusion, while Mobile City in Grand Junction benefits from its location on US-50, the overwhelmingly negative reviews raise significant concerns about its environment, management, and overall condition. The alleged refusal to accommodate service animals, the severe cat infestation and associated sanitation issues, the overgrown weeds, and the run-down appearance paint a picture of a park that may not provide a comfortable or safe experience for RV travelers. Potential visitors are strongly advised to consider these factors and explore other "RV parks near me" in the Grand Junction area that offer a higher standard of cleanliness, maintenance, and legal compliance. No promotional information can be gleaned from the provided reviews; instead, the feedback serves as a cautionary note for prospective guests.

Management refuses to allow service animal's to reside in park. Regardless of federal and colorado state laws. Stray cats everywhere. Weeds almost as high as the trailers in some spots.
Aug 22, 2024 · Charles McgeeWhat a DUMP, place smells like Cat Poop, cat poop everywhere, cats poop around your vehicle, next to your door of RV everyday, all over the whole park. Smell in summer takes your breath away, you can taste it the smell is so bad. So much cat poop they just put a layer of fresh gravel to cover it up. Looks shady and extremely run down. Not sure how its still in business or not shut down by city. Worst park I've ever stayed at in 2 years of full timing. People are nice but not a safe feeling place. The only thing this has is location. Dog park is full of cat poop everywhere. Even the office smells like cat poop.
Jan 17, 2024 · Mike MchaleSuper close to Colorado National Monument great spot to stay to visit the park. Very nice people working here, and a few that lived here year round that we talked to. Definitely looks shady as per some of the other reviews, but we had no problems at all.
May 27, 2021 · Jennifer GioeThe management is the nicest person, friendly neighborhood.Would stay here again, recommended to all my training friends.
Aug 21, 2024 · MarlieMobile City is located in an area of Grand Junction where you have easy access to wherever you want to go, whether it's the nearby mall, grocery stores, or the interstate highway. The management works well with you if you have special needs. We had a situation come up where we needed to extend our stay several times. The management continues to work with us and the rates are reasonable.
